You can tell how happy Trevor is to be actually doing stand up. I'd love to see him live. He is very eloquent, yet hilarious at the same time and it's amazing to watch

It is obvious that srand up is Trevor's passion. One of the few comics i watch their stand up repeatedly. Love him.
Definitely enjoyed this format immensely! It took me a minute to warm up to him, but now I have seen his intelligent assessment of our society. He will be missed.

Yeah. I wasn't sure about him when he first got the Daily Show gig, there were so many capable possible people, but he's proven himself. He's demonstrated his talents, as well as societal awareness, and an above average level of having an informed perspective. He's probably going to do very well moving forward.

I've thought so much about how much representation matters and somehow I don't think it ever clicked better than you talking about how black Atlanta is. How seeing so many people who look like you all the time made you feel. Thank you for opening that idea to me and for all the other amazing work you've done Trevor. Even when I think I'm doing everything I can to think and act inclusively you can show me how to do better
Yet it is supposed to be about feeling at home with all kinds of people, whether they look like yourself or not. Luxuriating in everyone looking like yourself is this country's original sin. You're blindly celebrating that very same sentiment. You frankly sound like someone who doesn't think for himself.
@@itannoysme3348 Most people feel more comfortable among their own kind. The aim should be to be comfortable with others but just as you feel most comfortable with your family, you will always be most comfortable with those who share your experience.
At the same time, you should be open to enjoying new experiences. It's like travelling to another country and loving it for a while .....but when you arrive back home you sigh with contentment. Nothing wrong with that!

I also thought the ownership of the universality of our blackness was awesome; here's a black South African owning the responsibility of publicly acclaiming what most people unconsciously sense but never openly admit. He's not saying he dislikes white people [though the bigoted might read that into it] he's saying its also cool to be around people who look and feel like himself. Those two ideas are not antagonistic.

This was so amazing! Laughed the whole time 😂. I lived in Atlanta for a few years but had to move back up north to be closer to family. Miss the city so much and the wonderful people there.
