Wow... that's must be prety bitter. In indonesia, we first boil male papaya flower with guava leaves to remove the bitterness. Some even boil it with cooking clay soil.

only male papayas are eaten they wont produce fruit. their flowers are different as well

It should be male, not a female one.
@@mayaenoi its a bit bitter. my moms usually bleanch it before cooking or u can boiled it with tamarin to reduce the bitterness
