From the wiki, comes this interesting piece of information. The +100% damage from the 3.5x zoom bonus is not +100% to base damage, but more specifically grants the following: +100% Impact +100% Puncture +100% Slash +100% Elemental Mod Multiplier on status proc damage. The last part seems to imply that it's a boost along the lines of the new Status Damage mods. So the boost is better than it may seem.

I don't think you talked about this, but a rank 0 semi-rifle cannonade is an option. It gives you +40% damage, 0.25 punch through, meaning it explodes inside the target's body (and can even pierce things like lancer shields and nullifier bubbles), and most importantly, an effective fire rate of +95% when used in 3.5x zoom with critical delay (negating -95% fire rate). I do agree with the sentiment that using the mod at full rank isn't worth it however. The mod instead should be used at rank 0 and treated like a fire rate mod with QoL (+95% fire rate, +40% damage and a bit of shield piercing QoL as opposed to Vile Accel's +90% fire rate and -15% damage).
@@snurlsss You being up a fantastic point, I wish I'd thought of that. I'd still personally rather use a firerate mod, that way I can benefit from other firerate buffs like from Wisp, but a r0 canonade is probably the best option if someone's using just the weapon on its own.
@@Einzweigeven at R0, cannonade still slaps quite well with the komorex since the passive technically makes it a +75% fire rate AND +40% damage. It’s cool.
i kinda disagree with not building slash, the slash DoT komorex does is absurd because of the math behind the +100% damage thing from the zoom, thats before viral as well
@@maicee7603 It's very strong yes, but you need avenger and a CC riven to have it be consistent, the base cirr is just an oof and a half. Slash is also a status type damage, which means it isn't very effective against overguard. Again, it is still a very strong option, I just would rather use something more consistent.
@@samatkinson4331 My main issue with Galv scope here is that you need headshot kills to build stacks, but DoT kills from the slash can't proc it. It also takes up another mod slot on top of hunter mu my just to try and force slash into the weapon. It will perform well yes, but I think there are better options when it comes to building the weapon, and better options for weapons if you just want to spam slash everywhere.
Woah, did i inspire a youtube video? Pretty sure i was the one who commented about cannonade last time lol. Didn't realize it gets cucked so hard by the punch through tho. Probably best to do what that other commenter said and just run it at rank 0. Stacking firerate normally is still an option, of course, but i find that it just ends up making me blow through the weapon's already meager ammo capacity in record time. That, and i hate using wepon loadouts that restrict you to using specific frames in order for them to work properly.

Love the Komorex wit the Cannonade mod. Rivens aren’t that expensive for it and having the secondary mode shoot the same makes it a lot of fun

Ive been running this weird 200% status gas build with 8x crit damage and it is so funny to gas a whole room with one shot.
