I would contact the specialist and give her age, weight, history of the rest of the litter, and the link to these videos. They can advise whether to wait or bring her in now. This video is so adorable. Thank you.
There is no reason not to do both. Contact the specialist explaining your concern that you may stress Kiki by consulting, he/she will be able to advise you, and you can also keep consultations going until she grows up following specialists directions. Don't put off consulting a specialist though.

I’m glad you are working with a veterinarian. I’ve noticed that she isn’t as active as I would expect from a kitten her age. She’s her mama’s only survivor, and she’s slowly growing and eating well, so we all hope for the best for this little charmer.

I’d be finding out as soon as possible what might be the cause of her abdominal breathing. If she needs antibiotics or other medication, the sooner the better. No matter the cost, Kiki is such an important little being.
My Theodoro only showed a heart problem when he was 13 years old. We took care of him with medicine and he lived until he was 15. He was gone last year. Abdominal breathing was due to fluid in the pleura, which occasionally needed to be drained. His heart problem was very serious. However, only an echocardiogram and lung x-ray can better detail the diagnosis. I believe that a good cardio vet will make the best diagnosis and treatment.
Please take her to the vet heart specifically asap. She not playing like a kitten should. She needs to be examined asap. I understand you wanting to not upset her little body. I know you love that little cat family. Prayers for Kiki.

Thank you for your videos. You and your kitties have brought so much joy. I am a pediatrician. If you notice, Kiki's head is bobbing. In humans, this would be called de Musset's sign, which is an indication of heart disease. Kiki's heart also seems to be beating too hard. You can see it almost jumping out of her chest (dynamic precordium). And she seems to be breathing hard (alar flaring). She may have been born with a quirky heart where blood abnormally flows back into the ventricle (aortic regurgitation). Again, I am not a vet, but I would have Kiki be seen by a heart specialist as soon as possible. I hope my concerns are unfounded. Praying for the best!

You are a very kind and caring person. It was her breathing that caught my eye in the beginning. And still does. What does the first vet clinic suggest? I would go with that but my feeling as a nurse would be just watch her. She is so small its very difficult to assess what is really going on. Even though she is only half Munchkin maybe contact a Munchkin cat society and ask if this is a common issue for Munchkins. I really feel for you. Its easy to see you are worried and want what's best for her. She's a darling little soul.
Thanks! We are all super worried about little wet-round-eyed Kiki, and praying for her little soul. You sure it is a heart issue, not a breathing issue? Try a lung specialist as well. Also, change that pink material off to something else, maybe just cotton, it might be emitting particles that go into her lungs. Ask the vet if she might have asthma. I can see that Coco and Mimi are also worried about the little one not responding to play stimulus, due to being too weak for any extra excercise, and it breaks my heart. She just sits there cutely, like a being of pure love, with no attacking bone inside her.

If it were me, i would get specialist advice as to whether it is safe to wait. It would be heartbreaking for everyone if something could have been done. And I also think of mum, if kitten were to have something happen, she would be so upset, she's a caring mum. Do it for her, if nothing else.

I have been in animal rescue for well over 30 years. To make a guess, I would say either heart or lung development. Kiki is adorable...hope she does well

I noticed a few days ago her breathing was odd when she was nursing, but also thought that maybe she was very hungry and eager to drink her mommy’s milk.. Being that she is very small her little lungs may be under developed. She is very alert and is beginning to explore.. I have fallen in love with Kiki, her Mommy and her daddy.. Notice: British Shorthair Munchkin mix and she got many of the handicaps of the two breeds. If the dramaqueens here would check that.

You are a very kind and caring person. It was her breathing that caught my eye in the beginning. And still does. What does the first vet clinic suggest? I would go with that but my feeling as a nurse would be just watch her. She is so small its very difficult to assess what is really going on. Even though she is only half Munchkin maybe contact a Munchkin cat society and ask if this is a common issue for Munchkins. I really feel for you. Its easy to see you are worried and want what's best for her. She's a darling little soul.

Thanks! We are all super worried about little wet-round-eyed Kiki, and praying for her little soul. You sure it is a heart issue, not a breathing issue? Try a lung specialist as well. Also, change that pink material off to something else, maybe just cotton, it might be emitting particles that go into her lungs. Ask the vet if she might have asthma.
I can see that Coco and Mimi are also worried about the little one not responding to play stimulus, due to being too weak for any extra excercise, and it breaks my heart. She just sits there cutely, like a being of pure love, with no attacking bone inside her.

Thank you for noticing and taking action based on comments here. That shows real dedication to wanting to do the best for your kitten. You haven't let ego get in your way and I applaud you for that. If it were me, i would get specialist advice as to whether it is safe to wait. It would be heartbreaking for everyone if something could have been done. And I also think of mum, if kitten were to have something happen, she would be so upset, she's a caring mum. Do it for her, if nothing else.

I noticed a few days ago her breathing was odd when she was nursing, but also thought that maybe she was very hungry and eager to drink her mommy’s milk.. Being that she is very small her little lungs may be under developed. She is very alert and is beginning to explore.. I have fallen in love with Kiki, her Mommy and her daddy.. The are such a beautiful little Cat family..I look forward every day to see the videos you share of Mimi and Baby Kiki!!! The appearance of Daddy Coco recently has blessed my heart because I can now enjoy seeing all three of your beautiful little cat family. Thank you for sharing them with us. First I need to thank you for sharing the videos of little Kiki with us. I also want to thank for all the love and care you gave to this little furry family. I've noticed her breathing but as I have no cats I couldn't say if it was normal or not. Thanks God that are many people here better prepared to opine about it. You did the right thing my friend.
