They should be nowhere near the guy honestly... Maybe it ate something poisonous, not enough to kill it, but to sicken it. I'd never have 1, but they shoulda emptied it's foodpouch, looked like in other video it was outside eating stuff, maybe that's where it ate something that stung it or was poisonous to it. I am no expert and have never had to deal with a pet which has been choking, but I would have thought that the common sense thing to do when this happens would be to push UP so that he monkey can get out what is blocking his system and making him choke.

This isn't the first baby I've seen choking from those lotus plant seeds. And it does look like he wasn't just choking, but also having a seizure....or choking because of the seizure. Either way, this is why people should stop having monkeys as pets and cash cows. It's not like a dog or cat, where they can take it to a normal vet. You have to take it to a vet who specializes in exotic pet care, specifically primate care. Most can't afford that, and if they could they'd have a challenge because those kind of vets are few and far between in their countries. Some people buy medicine from the streets and the black market. Who knows wtf they're actually buying? So, most pet monkeys die or their owners euthanize them. I'm sure glad this baby made it. Sadly, I know there's probably a good chance he isn't alive today though
Seizures don't always come with convulsions. I've seen a lot a lady sit in her wheelchair and look dead at you for 15-20 minutes and not say a word. The only thing we could do is monitor her until she came out of it. She'd go right back to being normal just like the monkey just did.

The seizure has to run its course, but once his nervous system is finished slamming him around, he'll return to his normal state, complete with the urge to eat incessantly. However, at some point he'll have a seizure that won't just pass off. He'll very likely experience a heart attack or stroke and pass away.
I have seen this baby rat in several different videos (having seizures). Quite obvious it has Epilepsy. A Vet can prescribe medication if the people can afford to buy it.

They could easily latch on to a finger, toe etc. including other pets until seizure ends. And it's ALWAYS good to know CPR. Whether it's a pet or human, you NEVER know when someone's life will depend on someone knowing CPR.

I'm no Vet, but my DOG reacted like this, she was out of it, no response at all, so I rushed her to my Vet and they gave her a shot of Benedryl, and she finally started to come to. Found out that she had an allergic reaction to a Bee sting. I hope it's that simple for your monkey.

You need to invest in a shock collar, and when it goes into another seizure you can shock it back to health. Make sure to set the sensitivity very low, and the shock intensity to maximum capacity.

Several other videos of this monkey having seizures without any food so it's medical reasons. I've seen dogs do this after certain kinds of flea/tick or worming medications and was fatal to some of them after year's of having seizures on and off all day. My only thoughts here is maybe it's medications of some kind or this baby suffered a brain injury.
Do you see her spitting up food from her throat , the both cheeks had food I could only see one full . The other in her mouth and throat I guess . You and wife will have to make a plan together what to do right , and take first aide course for medical help . It takes one to two days , helps you to be prepared to help anyone . You learn what to do for different emergencies that can happen. Kids choking, car accident, someone bleed badly you learn what to do. In Australia we call it first aid course . 2 days of school to learn . Then get certificates. Very good to know , a lot of people don’t know anything and can’t help anyone . Good luck 🤞🏼

The baby monkey is having a seizure. You need to take him to vet for medication 💊. Phenobarbital to control the seizures. If you don't get help he could die from it. That medication is also given to adults who suffer from seizures.
He had a seizure. Lost consciousness for a few seconds. Was in a post seizure state for half a minute or so before he started to become alert and coherent again. Then was confused and slightly scared because he didnt know what happened or why he felt the way he did. The owners should have IMMEDIATELY emptied both his food pouches to prevent choking and then taken the food away for at least an hour or 2 afterwards to ensure he wouldnt have another episode. He will absolutely need to see a veterinarian and be prescribed a daily or consistent anti-seizure medication, probably twice a day, every day, for the rest of his life to prevent future seizures.

Hello he is catching a seizure, I kno because I've being catching seizures since I was a young girl. The next time put him sideways, and wave a fan in his face, or put a fan in front of his face, so he could get air. That's a lack of oxygen that's going to the brain at that moment. Looks like seizures my dog would have. Hers were triggered by certain table food. I stopped allowing her to eat people food. I know it's scary to go through. She wasn't herself for a couple days afterwards. Editing to add I just noticed this is 2 years old.

Do you see her spitting up food from her throat , the both cheeks had food I could only see one full . The other in her mouth and throat I guess . You and wife will have to make a plan together what to do right , and take first aide course for medical help . It takes one to two days , helps you to be prepared to help anyone . You learn what to do for different emergencies that can happen. Kids choking, car accident, someone bleed badly you learn what to do.
In Australia we call it first aid course . 2 days of school to learn . Then get certificates. Very good to know , a lot of people don’t know anything and can’t help anyone . Good luck 🤞🏼

Alex is a little girl and yes the sweater is probably too uncomfortable for that poor little girl. Moreover the snacks seem a bit too hard too big and hard and can be hard to become a potential choker . So easy go 😊

The baby monkey is having a seizure. You need to take him to vet for medication 💊. Phenobarbital to control the seizures. If you don't get help he could die from it. That medication is also given to adults who suffer from seizures.

He had a seizure. Lost consciousness for a few seconds. Was in a post seizure state for half a minute or so before he started to become alert and coherent again. Then was confused and slightly scared because he didnt know what happened or why he felt the way he did. The owners should have IMMEDIATELY emptied both his food pouches to prevent choking and then taken the food away for at least an hour or 2 afterwards to ensure he wouldnt have another episode. He will absolutely need to see a veterinarian and be prescribed a daily or consistent anti-seizure medication, probably twice a day, every day, for the rest of his life to prevent future seizures.

You don't shake a rat while it's having a seizure, let it lie on its side and hope it don't bite its tongue cause you're not even supposed to hold the tongue.

Seizure followed by post seizure phase with starring, perhaps no verbalization. May seem unfamiliar to surrounding Little response initially. Body weak, my be floppy. May have lost bladder control. May have foamed at mouth during seizure.
Not a limp in the throat its a full cheek pouch. It didn't choke if it was choking it would have been all over the place struggling to breath. I mean seriously you seen anyone who is choking just go muscle tense shake and go glassy eyed where it looks like their looking thru you that is a seisure weather it was a diabetic seisure brought on by all the unhealthy crap your killing it with or a miss fire in the brain from all the private head trauma from beating it and bounsing off whatever it was thrown against. But that was just an entirely bad situation and definitely should have been hands off till it stopped. But hey that was why they kept messing with it for shock value and views.

Hello he is catching a seizure, I kno because I've being catching seizures since I was a young girl. The next time put him sideways, and wave a fan in his face, or put a fan in front of his face, so he could get air. That's a lack of oxygen that's going to the brain at that moment. That's why he's having seizures. Never put anything in his mouth because he could choke on it, and you would be blocking him from getting any air.

Looks like seizures my dog would have. Hers were triggered by certain table food. I stopped allowing her to eat people food. I know it's scary to go through. She wasn't herself for a couple days afterwards.
