    This is something that we do so often that we forget others may not know. Great tip.

    Never leave the grey open, use it to "flush" after the black tank dump. Always dump full tanks if you can.

      Yes, absolutely great tip! We do that as well, but didn't get into it in the video.

      How do I know when the gray one is full

    • @nicepke3520
      @nicepke3520 8 месяцев назад

      @@MexhomieXlll I usually dump the grey tank after the black, no mater how full it is. The tank sensors don't work anymore so I never know how full it really is. ... unless water is backed up in the sink, I never know tank levels

    I open both as soon as the hose is hooked up. That way I don’t have poop hanging out in the trailer.
    Thanks for sharing.

      We try to avoid that so the solids and toilet paper don't get caught up in the hose.

    If you leave the hose lying on the ground for extended periods of time, the holes will develop pinhole leaks and eventually crack wide open.

  • @ghostpepperrides4805
    @ghostpepperrides4805 Год назад +2

    Well you never leave any dump valve open. You need the gray water to flush the black hose.

    • @Crazyfamilyadventure
      @Crazyfamilyadventure  11 месяцев назад

      We leave the gray open until the black gets close to full, then close the gray to build up some flushing water for after dumping the black.

    I actually just leave them both open all the time

    • @bennybelardo1052

      I leave them both open all of the time & then periodically flush the toilets even when they're not in use. Why even keep the #1 & #2 inside the trailer? This creates a fly/mosquito infestation all of the time.

    Can you show how to hook the water at I see you have a live feed

  • @nicholassoviak2386

    Wrong your supposed to leave them both closed mainly for the reason when you do pty your tanks you do the black tank first then the grey water to help clear the black waist out of the hose

    • @Crazyfamilyadventure
      @Crazyfamilyadventure  Год назад +5

      We close the gray the day before we are going to dump the black for this reason! With 6 people we would be opening that gray everyday and dumping since it would be full!

    How do I know when tank is close to full? I just set an RV for full and left both valves open though.

    I need a video that shows how to hook the bayonets ends to the actual hose itself. My tote came all separate. 😢

    What about for full time? Same principle?

    • @Crazyfamilyadventure
      @Crazyfamilyadventure  11 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, we always kept black closed until it was full. We kept gray open until the black was almost full, then closed the gray to build up some gray water. After dumping the black tank, we'd dump the gray to flush out the hose.

    Why leave black closed and gray open? Thanks for not responding ahead of time 😂

      It's better to leave the black closed and dump it all at once when it's full. It flushes it out better that way.
