Have you dealt with the VW/Audi/BMW CANbus system? CANbus doesn't like too little or to much voltage. I am curious as to how you would deal adding the halos/demon eyes, and all that while trying to keep within the CANbus voltage, ohm requirements.
I have a pet peeve about tail lights that should be as bright as possible so folks behind the car see the brake lights so there is no collision. If the brake lights are altered with smoke tint or other means(like your method) defeats the brake light function.
me toooooo i thought i was the only one. sometimes tinted lights look nice or better, but i've noticed it's always the interior of the housing that makes it looks nicer. the morimoto headlights that have black housings all look extremely nice, especially on the more rugged looking vehicles. i wish people understood that
@@flyryde I was commenting on the media blasted lens cutting down light output over a stock lens. The other matter of covering the chrome or removing the chrome reflector of any light reduces the output of that light fixture.
Hey, so I’ve been customizing Infiniti g35 taillights and using the same silicone to seal it, but the clear version. On one of the pairs, the clear reverse light lens fogged up from the silicone fumes I guess. Maybe also might have had something to do with static from wrapping the lens in cling wrap. Any ideas of what might get rid of the fogginess?
I did the Porsche tails about a year and half ago, and they had the weird circuit panel for the bulbs too. I’m guessing the same thing for the e36 tails?
I really love all the advice you give out it has helped me so much building headlights for clients. Is it possible you could do a guide on building 350z tail lights as I want to try customising tail lights I got quite a few requests from clients to custom 350z tail lights.
Chris quick question! When you cut open plastic welded taillights, how do you attach the two pieces back together? Do you use the same silicone you showed in this video or something else. I couldn’t find a video of you explaining how to do it. Thanks 🙏🏻
@@TheMilanMovies Pretty sure he "re-welds" them back together with a heated tool and then seals the weld with the silicone. You wouldn't just have silicone holding the two halves together.
Partially yes. A lot of the new videos are going to be more focused on the story than on being fancy. This video had portions of Throtls footage that we just pulled from their video.
@@flyryde not after fancy. Just want to enjoy your workmanship in Crystal clear picture as always. Not potato res. What you achieved in this video was excellent but was let down by not being able to see it in HD. I couldn’t tell the difference before/after you diffused the clear light reflector by sanding it down. It looked the same because resolution was too low on this occasion. 👍
Glad you noticed when I tried harder. Definitely comment on the next few long form videos to say what you think. My buddy Jon is editing for me now, so I’d love your feedback 👍
if i buy all the parts can you guys cut open my tail lights and install the parts i have for me i just cut one open an screwed it up, but if i send'em can you guys do it for me?
I have the same lights and I would like to do the same thing as I do to send them to you and how much does it cost to do that?
Finally an actual video 😩
This video was a perfect explanation on what you do in general, nice 👌🏽
A full video :o
Yes!! The goat🙌🏼🙌🏼
I want to know what those black tail lights look like those look way better
Do you or can you do a video on 2000-2006 chevy suburban headlights/taillights? I would like ideas to customize them?

If I’m right, are you thinking that these lights have LESS output than factory, because the chrome inside them was painted black?

I’ll definitely have to do some comparison tests with the lux meter on the next set after they come back from paint.
@@flyryde yes
You actually can "bleach" permanently dyed plastic using high intensity UV. Only downside, is it may get very brittle and crack in the process.
Yes !!!!!!!! Duse wish I lived close to you so I could show you my tail lights ! Lol
Could I use a ghosts mod chip instead of the corsl motion ?
Do you do other cars and trucks
Name of the beat that starts around 7:20?

Lemme know when ur ready to do those e36 lights. Is the change in attitude toward it cuz of somehow there's no wired for bulbs run?

What kind of wheels are those?
So my questions issss. Now since we used the corsomotion. Are we able to use the ghostz with the show mode ?
Yup, I’m building some now 👍

They’re super easy to mess up, but I have a couple ideas that I think should make them easier
@@flyryde Would be much appreciated if you could give some advice working them.
Once again I enjoy all your content.

Yes these lights are welded shut, were cut, and I used that silicone to seal them after they were reassembled.
@@flyryde thanks Chris for clearing that up! Do you use tape or something to hold everything together while the silicone is curing?

Did this get uploaded in SD? it’s very blurry on the key shots of the lights. 🤔
