I think he was absolutely right to have said that to the person in the front row. As for the other bits in this clip, we don't know the context as they are just short bits taken out of it. But up to now he seems very loyal to his fans and if you watch his live IG connections, he does whatever simple people ask him to, he shares parts of his private areas, sings if asked and answers all sorts of quesitons even stupid.. I think its kind of sweet. He is a big professional and can allow himself some criticism in work environment.... my opinion

I adore Adam! He is charming, polite, honest, funny, has a big heart and an even bigger voice! I'm one of his senior (as in old) fans, and while I like his Glam Rock... I adore the ballads and the acoustic sets that show off his beautiful voice.

I’ve met him. I was a semi finalist on Season 8 of Idol the year he was runner up. Some other singers knew that he was on Wicked and we tried to go talk to him to encourage him and be excited about how far we had all made it to that point. He saw us coming and took out his ear piece, and said, “Oh this is a competition. I’m really not here to make friends... so yeah” and he put his ear piece back in and dismissed us with his eye roll, continuing to ignore all of us in the room. He even ignored some producers when they tried to tell him what would be happening next. He may have humbled a little since those days, but he’s not anyone I care to be around anymore. He just has a cloud of negativity around him. He’s bitter, arrogant, and a narcissist. It’s part of why his career hasn’t exploded as much as he thinks it should have. No one wants to put up with him.
Sorry to hear that he was like that to you but I hear a lot of opposite stories. Like people on the top 10 were saying he was the person people went to for advice. Allison, Meghan, and Lil seemed really close to him. Even Matt. Sarver has nothing but good things to say about him. Allison went on tour with him and sings backup for him. Michael Orland and Ricky Minor have nothing but good things to say about him (Adam was the only one to publicly thank them) and he was the only contestant from season 8 that they brought back every season except the current one during covid-19. All the judges seem to love him, including Simon. Hell he was the first previous contestant mentor and the first judge. If the producers didn't like him, why did they keep bring him back? He's the lead singer of one of the most iconic bands in the world and he still has a solo career where he can tour internationally. He's worth over $25 million (probably $35 million by now) and is the 3rd highest earning Idol after Carrie and Kelly. That's exploded to me. And as for "no one wants to put up with him", all I see is the opposite. Everyone who works with him or interviews him say he is the nicest guy in the business. His past band members have nothing but good things to say about him. Roger and Brian love him like family. Roger vacations with him. He's been a philanthropist right after Idol, raising over a million for 13 charities, and now he has his own foundation, which raised close to $70K in just a few months. You can speak for yourself and a few of those other contestants but the evidence shows you are wrong about others in the industry.
