Italeri 1/9 BMW R75
The finish of Italeri's 1/9 military motorcycle series is different from the original, but I made all of them except Zündapp.
I can see 1/9 Harley, Triumph and BMW side by side.
If these three motorcycle pass the examination, I will exhibite them at this year's Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show.
About the kit
The mold is more solid than the company's Harley and Triumph. Especially bolts.
Other than that, it is a kit that is difficult to make compared to the current model, and the adhesion between parts must be corrected, but considering the era when ESCI was selling it, I think it is an excellent kit.
Production
This BMW was made with the image that someone from the Allied Powers took it home and customized it after the war of WWWII.
Engine
The position of the air filter is divided into the early type on the engine side and the late type on the tank.
I chose the early type model and added details to the simplified air filter using brass mesh and junk parts.
Since the genuine air filter pipe was made of soft resin, it was replaced with a spring pipe.
The fins of the engine are shallow, so I scraped them to the limit of the thickness of the plastic.
I replaced the pushrod tubes with aluminum and brass pipes.
The carburetor adds a detail based on the actual car photo.
The shaft of the shaft drive is a brass pipe.
I was debating whether to use a brass pipe or a resin tube for the oil line, but since it overlaps with the shaft, I chose a tube.
But Germany had shaft drives in their motorcycles in the 1930s!
frame
I cut out the part that connects to the sidecar and rear seat support and added bolts.
fuel tank
I cut out the right shift lever and the top air intake.
muffler
I made two mufflers.
I made it with a 2mm bendable plastic rod, a spring pipe with an inner diameter of 3mm, and a plastic pipe with an outer diameter of 3.5mm.
I used cloth tape to hide the spring pipe.
Thank you so much!
wheel
The spokes are made of 0.5mm insect pins and 0.6mm inner diameter brass pipes.
For 1/9, 0.4mm and 0.5mm inner diameter would be appropriate, but since the tire, hub, and rim are all large, I chose thicker spokes.
sheet
The original has a large spring that stands out strangely, so I changed the shape based on the BMW of the 1940s.
I made it a single seat, processed the parts of the rear seat and installed the spring.
painting
As those who watch my channel know, I weather paint my models.
The frame and front forks are green and weathered.
The tank and fender are weathered with silver.
It's just after the war, so I arranged it a little military style and put a monster mouth decal on the fuel tank to make it a US military aircraft.
Actually, there is a 1940s BMW that looks very similar to this, and I fell in love at first sight and made it.
In the world of real cars, you want to make a historical bike that is customized with plenty of charm.
light
I'm driving on a public road, so I turn on the lights.
In the kit, the front light was hollow, so I put in a 1/10 model bike light.
The tail light is 1/24, a surplus part of the car plastic model.
display stage
The display stand has a wooden board design on a steel frame.
Thank you so much!
I absolutely love watching you work your model magic! I have to say you're truly a master of the art of the two wheel machine! Bikes are Life!
Always, always, I am very happy to receive heartful comments.
I will continue to make videos that you will love!

@Easy modeler's room I definitely enjoy your build videos a lot, and I look forward to the next one! You've become one of my favorites on RUclips! Keep up the great work 👍

Thank you very much for your kind comments.
Really Thank you very much.
What a cool looking, fine detailed BMW Bobber!
I am happy for your comments!
Because I made it aiming for a bobber type BMW.
Next time I want to make a cafe racer BMW!
thank you!
@@scalemodeler It is a brutal street terror bobber BMW :-=
Looking forward for the cafe razzer :-)
Incredible as always....

Thank you for watching the video.
And I'm glad you like the tank.
@@scalemodeler you are welcome
Simply ASTONISHING!!!!!!!
Thank you!!!!!
Your work is beautiful, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am about to build a model of my wife's dream motorcycle, a 1974 Kawasaki Z1. I will be using some of you methods when I build it.
The Kawasaki Z1 is a Japanese dream motorcycle!
Your wife is so wonderful!
I hope that dream comes true and your model turns out great! !
I'm not good at English, so I apologize if I said something rude! !
Thank you!
Beautifull as always. I admire your way of building a lot. And all the extra details you bringto it, makes the bikes come alive. Again 46 minutes of absolute scale modelbuilding on you tube. Thank you for inspiring many of us.
I am very happy to read your comment.
You are a generous person who can compliment others with the greatest compliments.
Thank you very much.
Sending you my thanks!
You are amazing I wish that I was even 1/8th as talented as you. Keep up the awesome videos.
Thank you for your very nice comment.
We will continue to make better videos!
vous êtes vraiment minutieux beau travail
Merci beaucoup.
J'apprécie toujours tes commentaires.
Always very interesting videos. I see that you color the parts in rust primer, why? Don't Tamiya metallic colors dry too quickly to be painted with a brush? You clean the washes with a cotton swab, but don't they dry as quickly as the colors?
When doing weathering painting, always I use Oxide Red.
I also use this color when painting black with iron paint.
The reason is that you can easily express rust.
When the paint is removed with a cotton swab, a small amount of rust will eventually appear.
This is because it is easier than expressing rust with chipping paint.
Thank you.
What a great build, just love the MC build from you and have learn so much. Have you ever plans to build the Heller kit Norton Commando.
There are plans to make a Heller kit Norton Commando.
Next is BMW again, but it is a plan to make the next of BMW.
I'm currently collecting data on the actual vehicle.
Thank you!
Beautiful.
Thank you!!
Professional
Thank you!!
Amazing bike model and stand. Italeri or Protar bike model kits are not like a Tamiya but you make them look so nice. Heller made Some nice bike kits in 1/8 but hard to find.
Thank you for your comment.
1/9 and 1/8 size motorcycle models are not made in Japan.
I'm looking for American, French and Italian models.
You're right, this class of motorcycle model makes a great finished product.
Great Job, Unfortunately the speedometer disc is mounted upside down
I thought so too at first and confirmed it, but when I looked at the numbers, this position is correct, and the actual car is arranged like this.
Thank you for your advice.
habitual excelência na customização, parabéns pela execução. Brasil
Just found you. Subd! Amazing work and great videos! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your comment.
I am very happy that you are satisfied!
You doing amazing job .
Thank you so much!!
Hi! Congratulations!!! You are a true artist!
I would like to know which tool (brand name) you use to dig up the cooling fins of the cylinder. It looks like a file, but I could not find it in the market.
Big hug from Brazil!
Thank you for your comment.
Regarding your question, I am using a saw file.
Double-edged type.
wow you are artist my friend
Thank you my friend . And happy new year!
Great work!!
Thank you for watching so many videos!
wow!!! Subarashii!
Thank you! "Arigatougozaimasu!!!"
Your best
Thank you so much!
감사합니다!
i was thinking it would be a dirt bike
Dirt bikes are very attractive to BMW.
I think it's a scrambler type if it's a BMW for on-road.
maybe you could make a harley into an easyrider (captain america) chopper. i would like to see that
I don't have a Harley chopper kit.
If you have this kit, I want to make it!
I'm so sorry.
@@scalemodeler maybe just a harley kit like you do with your models?
not a bad looking bike
Always thank you ❣️😊
i was going to add it to my list but very expensive here
In Japan, it is about $60 to $70.
Sometimes you can buy new ones on Amazon.
@@scalemodeler $100.00 plus here
tell me something by building such gr8 model kits of moor bikes , has it ever helped uin rectifying the mechanical problems faced in a real motor bike in real life by building such great motorbike kits
Délire!
Merci je suis très content
Excuse me, I want to ask where did you buy it, bro?
I purchased this kit from Amazon Japan.
Thank you!
people must watch your vids a lot. where i buy my models there is not one italeri model aviable. all sold out
It's a real shame.
I think that 1/9 Italeri models can be purchased at auctions and mail order sites, but they are not available at ordinary model shops in Japan.
However, there is a product description on the Italeri website, so I think they are producing it.
what and when is your next build
Next, I will make Heler's BMW in cafe racer style.
What brand of paint is the red oxide? Tamiya?
I use paint that is Mr. Color and enamel paint is Tamiya .
Oxide red is Mr. Color.
Where to buy spring and detail parts?
The spring is WAVE A-spring.
I bought Amazon Japan.
i would like to try this bike but if the parts are not numbered i won't . it is very hard telling which parts go where. are the parts numbered. you are my last hope.
thanks anyway
Italeri models do not have part numbers.
You just have to look at the owner's manual to find the part number.
It's a little unkind, isn't it?
@@scalemodeler yes very complicated. i guess i will do anymore of their models
@@scalemodeler very
what is your next build
Next, I will make Heler's BMW in cafe racer style.
@@scalemodeler i'll keep looking
i love the wire you put in your wheels but i won't try it
In the near future, I would like to make a video on how to assemble the wheel.
@@scalemodeler again i'll keep looking
what is your next bike build
Next is Heller's BMW converted to a cafe racer.
It will be released this week.
thank you!
how long on average to respoke one wheel
It takes about 6 hours to replace the spokes on the front and rear wheels, including painting.
@@scalemodeler wow
are the parts numbered for this model
No, this kit’s parts number is discribed at constraction manual.
😚👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you 😊😊😊😊
