    *About the kit
This kit is an Airfix mold.
It's a very good kit, and I think it's wonderful that there was a model of this quality half a century ago.
There are vinyl cables (This ideas is for beginners, but increasing the difficulty assemble), and there are some differences compared to the actual car (cylinder head, etc.), but the assembly is made of plastic, but bolts are used a lot. This is the only 1/8 big scale Norton commando kit with Keanu Reeves on board.
I could make a normal type with Keanu Reeves in mind, but I made a cafe racer type because I wanted to put the decals of the British motorcycle, ACE CAFE.
    *engine
The fin is a separate part. For some reason, the shape of the cylinder head is a little strange, even though I'm so particular about it.
I noticed it after assembling it, so I arranged it for actual feel like it.
    *bolts
All bolts with suspicious shapes were replaced with hexagonal plastic bars, brass pipes, and WAVE bolt sets.
    *shaft, rods, cables, etc.
shaft and rods will deteriorate over time or break with paint, so use metal wires.
Cables are made of soft vinyl. With this texture, it is impossible to route the cables, so we replaced them all with commercially available cables.
I also added an outlet for the cable.
    *cafe racer seat and tank
The Norton Commando's fuel tank is low and elongated, which doesn't really look like a cafe racer.
Moreover, the frame had a thick buttock shape, and it was difficult to make the seat well.
I made about 3 types of sheets with different widths and lengths and fitte to fuel tank.
    *handle bar
Speaking of a cafe racer, it's probably a separate handlebar, but it's troublesome to change the top bridge and front light stay, so I chose a low and narrow Continental.
    *wheel replace spokes
I assembled the wheel using the jig I made last time.
If you are about to start reupholstering spokes, we recommend using a jig.
    *Painting
I used Fine Silver and Chrome Silver from Finishers.
    *Finishers silver comparison
    chrome silver
    The color particles are large.
When painted with a black base, it becomes a black iron color close to silver. It's a deep silver.
However, if you apply it to a tank or something with a large area, the size of the particles will stand out and it will look like a lame paint.
It is recommended for painting thin parts such as mufflers, arms, and handles, as the particles are less noticeable.
If you use a special thinner, the luster (like a top coat) will be stronger.
The coating is strong after drying.
    fine silver
The color particles are fine, but it does not become a plating paint.
Fine silver particles can be seen, but when painted, it is a white silver, aluminum-like color.
It is not easily affected by the color of the groundwork.
The coating is strong after drying.
    Creos
    silver
Easy to use and excellent silver. There is no color graininess at all.
If you use Finishers Fine Silver, you will want to use this, but Finishers seems to have a stronger coating.
    shine silver
It feels like the chrome silver particles of the finishers are made even larger.
The advantage of Finishers Silver is that the coating is fairly strong. It is possible, although there is a slight influence of the top coat (especially the matte coat is bad). When applying decals, you will want to coat them.
    See you soon!
    Thank you all of you!!
