Loved it. Absolutely great to hear someone say what you said about not giving af about which cover the zone is. I get lost in that, but when I'm just looking at space, I do better.
Always cover the space given on regular zones with some help shifting left to right towards cutters and I promise you will get picks. When I user the safety the middle always gets picks so I figured why don’t I just stay middle and move just a lil vs running towards every cutting route and I promise like civil said doing the basics will get you championships like I have online 😊
Great video! Another other thought I had that you don't mention here: DON'T call a play out of the playcall screen that IS one of your audibles. You can always just check to that play at the LOS if the defense is lined up favorably for that play. Audibles are also great for what you're calling "constraint" plays. Come out in one of your "power plays" and if the defense is giving you some look where you just aren't sure, or don't like it for whatever reason, just check to one of your "constraint" plays using audibles. Setting your audibles smartly is a huge, HUGE benefit.
Appreciate your videos. I've improved quite a bit from watching them. I haven't played football since the last NCAA. I don't need to be great at it, I just need to be better than the circle of friends I compete against. I'm getting there. Keep up the good work
You asked for feedback, from the coaching concept in real life that’s not a concept in general, but it more closely resembles the air raid USOM concept (under Sam, over Mike) typically ran by your H or Y to get mismatches with tight ends on safety. But in real football it would be more likely combo’d with a z drag and a x post turning it into a shallow concept. That forces all backers and safety’s to make decisions in the zone coverage. Air raid like Neal Brown runs at WVU is all based on triangle reads so QB has multiple options on a triangle, high, mid, low
I don’t even worry about route combos. I used to when I was still learning madden. Only because I was still trying to build my team and fall behind on the season pass. But now I literally just look at the defense and come up with a combo that I feel like would cause a cb/mlb to have to pick between two players.
Been watching the videos and they are very helpful! As a former college linebacker, I haven't played a down of offense since 2012 and needless to say I was rusty on my offensive concepts. The way he breaks things down though, has rekindled the flame that is offensive play calling in my brain 😂
Definitely an Interesting take and video because I myself do get caught up to much wondering what Zones coverage they are In not realizing I should just look for the open spaces etc etc. Thanks 👍 I'll have to practice this more. I like to run spread type formations tho.
Decided Oregon was gonna be my team, & I've practicing against the cpu getting absolutely wrecked. Watched this vid & was up 72-21. I feel like this vid is a cheatcode
Ps3 buttons made way more sense in an option! Its backwards. X would hand off! And if you just wanna keep it you dont have to worry about pressing anything That made more sensw
where are the youtubers that are actually teaching what the preplay controls ARE, im here to see those and you're just flying through the button presses to talk theory
Yes that is called a double Mable when you do it on both sides of the field and was/is still kinda a very common defense in madden. There won't be a play in the playbook for it but you can quick adjust to it. One common thing in madden was to put your hard flats on 25 or 30 yard drops and your curl flats on 5 yard drops. If you do this you're likely only blitzing 3 and your user is responsible for the entire middle of the field
@@bhalterman30 Well duh, I know that.. I know it's possible for hard flats But can you do it for cloud flats and then still have a curl on the field without accidentally turning it into a hard flat?
@@jacobporter419 yes because you can quick adjust curl flats on to the field no matter what? So if you call any play with cloud flats and put curl flats on the field with quick adjust you have them both on the field. Or if you call anything with hard flats play overtop coverage to change it to cloud flat and then again quick adjust curl flats onto your field. It's pretty self explanatory

Pre snap is kinda useless this year bc of shells
@@sirjam34 So true 😂
@@sirjam34 exactly
Look at space pre snap or while the play is happening ?

Thank you for mentioning "give them 2 options to break their zone coverage" - makes a lot of sense and cleans up the mess.

Coach Civil the Humble King Salute! 🫡🏈
Thank you Mr. Beast for the offensive tips ! I’m already winning more games
If there’s one thing I learn from all of this guy’s videos. He has won tens of thousands of dollars playing madden.
This the one!🎉❤
5:06 major pause I love you dog but massive pause
Sheesh
Awesome as always, thanks Civil!!
If anyone is curious what route has the highest probability to beat man I’m pretty sure it’s a TE zig
Zigs, outs and slants depending on the shading of the DB. It’s just like real life, use the leverage given to you and check off of that
what are some recommended playbooks?
i been wasting so much time worried bout beating certain zones lol 🤦🏿♂️
Me to 😂😅
Try throwing to the open players 🤷🏾♂️

5:05 “if they come on me”… pause haha regardless you’ve earned a sub. Great content as always man!
i wish they would fix the passing meter in squad seasons, it only allows you to run the new passing meter instead of any other ones
New subscriber 🙋🏻♂️. What’s your favorite playbook for a meaningful game? Non custom please
Alabama!
Thanks civil
Loved the video.. what kind of drills or practice do you recommend that will help with looking for the open receiver?
I'd like to know as well... Good question tho 👍
Appreciate it my guy subbed

Thanks for the tips
great video civ dog
Also match kills that flood concept half the time
I think ur getting so many red passed cuz it’s a left handed qb and he’s throwing to far right side of the field
on that speed option send inside wr to opposite side
What do you do against stadium pulse? Can't just hot route every play lol
Yeha it's a lot tougher
Your stock playcalls have to be a lot better, and you also just need to Run the ball + option & RPO game
Wait the left stick alone affects the ball placement on placement and accuracy? I thought you had to hold down LT for the LS to have any effect.
Left stick affects it some as well! You get more range w LY
How do you do this while choosing the play, most of the time you’re gonna be the one choosing first and you obviously can’t see the line
5:06 ayoooo
Bro, but how do you option?
Is ace slot offset good out of Texas playbook I been using it since madden n I’ve been having success going to it 55-6
How do you send him on a streak it won’t give me the option to on PA READ play
where are the youtubers that are actually teaching what the preplay controls ARE, im here to see those and you're just flying through the button presses to talk theory
How do I prevent my elite OLine from getting obliterated in 2 sec or less on all madden lol
Thought you were for revamped passing?
I talk about it in this vid!
Revamped = better for beginners
P & A = More “elite”
With that being said, I really don’t love either of the systems

Pitch the ball if the what now???
passing is busted with placement and accuracy. how can you get a red release on a tap lob pass
If they what on you? I beg your pardon
None of this matters if you can’t use custom playbooks online. Typical and regular bs from ea. 🚮
