I hate that people are saying it sounds like future nostalgia. That just means their age is showing and they don’t know the difference between 80s synth pop and 70s disco… not to mention every artist has a particular sound, idk why people got mad when Dua found hers. I don’t see this people complaining about Beyonce or Taylor Swifts songs all sounding the same but they do too. The theme of this album is psychedelic so it is all going to have this vibe

Love the song and the video. A lot of Kylie Minogue references (Dua is a big Kylie fan): she shot the video at the same pool in Barcelona where Kylie filmed the video for “Slow”; the pyramid where all the dancers are dressed in white is a reference to “All The Lovers”; the red dress is almost the same as the one Kylie wear at the Smash Hits 2001.

Personally I think that Houdini is the worst of the 3. Training Season and Illusion have a lot more sound than Houdini which makes them a lot more fun to listen to and dance to.

Training Season is the worst single. This song is a dance club edm ecstasy type free feeling m. Dancing, psychedelic soul almost type music. If you haven’t done ecstasy then ofc you won’t like it. This is better than Houdini for me bc I loveee these types of songs.
