Great question! If you don’t have any historical results with RunDisney, typically they will put you in the last corral. However, I’ve seen people with not POT get put in the middle of the pack as well. It’s hard to tell at times. But I think overall, anticipate being in the last corral so you can be pleasantly surprised if you get a better one :)
I just tried to register for the 2025 Princess half Marathon 5K. We waited for months for the registration to open. I was up early and signed into the queue on five devices. After a 70 minute wait in the queue, we finally got in. The registration process went smoothly, but because I registered my spouse too, I had to manually enter her info which took a minute or so longer. When I went to pay, we got a message that the race event was full. How frustrating was that. This was our first ever attempt at getting into a race. I don’t know what I could have done any faster to get in?
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear this!! This unfortunately has been a reality that has been occurring more and more frequently in recent registrations. Continue to monitor the RunDisney site as well as join some FB groups to see if registrations open again. They do from time to time. Also look into running for a charity :)
Excellent video. Thanks! I want to race with my 17y old son. Is he considered an adult? Should he have his own RunDisney account to increase our chances of getting tickets? First time RunDisney athletes here!
Thanks so much for watching!! That’s very exciting that you’re amping up to register for your first rundisney event! I recommend that you both make accounts and both try separately. If one gets in faster than the other, then right after the first registration they can register the other:)
Hi! This was super helpful! I just have a few questions since it's my first race. Can you please walk me through how to register the child and a friend for one of these races? The "Myself" for the account actually is not running, but wants to register their child and friend (20 years old) is this okay? If so, where is the add participants button on the screen after you fill in the information for one runner? I registered for the Frozen virtual races in the summer and it only let me register for one person and then I had to go back in front the start and register the other person. I may have been doing it wrong, but there was no add participant on my form. Thank you in advance!!
These are great questions! When you are registering, it will actually ask if you are registering for yourself. If your child is over 18, I do recommend they register themselves but you can certainly still do so for them. Having people register on their own accounts allow for their information to automatically populate when register and makes the process just a bit faster :) If you head to about 7 mins and 50 seconds, you'll see a quick screenshot that shows you what the drop down menu will look like when you click on who you are registering :)
Do you lose your place in the registration queue when signing up another person? In other words, do you go back to waiting in the registration queue for another person's registration?
Great question!! Usually, once you finish the sign up for your first race registration, you'll see an area that says 'Register for another race" or something along those lines.
I will look much more into the process for you! I do know that in the section where you input your information like if you are a member of the military, a cast member, etc, they do ask if you will be participating with a wheelchair. I'll dive in and get back to you :)
The only thing I ever see are the virtual. Everything sells out so fast. I live nearby and don’t want to buy a whole hotel package to get in. It’s already so pricey
It was really interesting this year. It felt like every other week they were adding more spots to open the races for WDW Marathon Weekend. It is definitely pricey and I hope you get to do one soon!
@@SwishWilly I want to do the Princess one and someone said last night that they are opening them up a little here and a little there. So maybe I can do something other than virtual. But definitely will be doing the animal kingdom one in spring and try for it in Dec. I live within 30 min to the parks, so really want to start these :)

Thank you so much for making this!! This is my first runDisney race and this video helped me understand race registration so much better!!
I'm so glad this helped you out!! Congrats on signing up for your first runDisney race!! Best of luck!
Ah I am overwhelmed by it too lol
This is the best video I’ve found on how to register - thank you for the step by step explanation!
Glad it was helpful! You are so welcome!! Best of luck with registration :)
What would you advise someone to do if they don’t have a “proof of time” from a previous race? Would you just automatically be put in the last corral?

Really hoping for a spot in the fairytale challenge!
Best of luck!! I hope this video helped you prepare :)
Hi. There are two dates to register? :(
There are two dates, yes. The first is Club runDisney members only registration and the following week is general registration.
So if I want to register myself and 2 others, can I do it all at the same time and pay for everything together?
You'll see a part in the registration one you fill yours out "Register another Person" before you check out :)
Do you lose your place in the registration queue when signing up another person? In other words, do you go back to waiting in the registration queue for another person's registration?
Great question! From what I recall, it does not make you go back into the registration queue, however, it doesn't guarantee you get the spot.
How do we register for multiple races? Do we have to check out for one and then go back?
Great question!! Usually, once you finish the sign up for your first race registration, you'll see an area that says 'Register for another race" or something along those lines.
@@SwishWilly got it! Thank you! So it’s probably best to do the one you really want first? Then add the second
@@meghangasca2785 Absolutely!! Always always always set your priority races and have backup plans if your race sells out before you get in.
Can you make a video on how to register with a wheelchair?

Do have a video for registering a disabled person?
Unfortunately, I do not! That's a great idea though! I will look into this in the future for sure!
