having major issues with my setup currently. im trying to run it without needing a key for the ignition. i have every thing wired up but cant use the button to do anything without my key. when i turn my key to on then i can use the button to start my car. i can stop my car with the button unless i fully remove the key from the ignition. acc is only available using my key as well i wont let me access it using the button

@@Gaming4liFe-gz5mn basicaly the key will be left in the original start contact key, then the smartbox will take over the control of it. dont worry, your car will not be stolen because the smartbox is bypassing the original sistem, wich make it useless without your aftermarket smartbox.

[1RADIO/2DASH LIGHTS/3CRANCKING]? - my car wasn't produced in England, but in Gent/Belgium factory; do we have consistency in wire coloring?i.e. do we have same wire colors? - and, final one, what about steering lock? if SL is mechanical, do we need to completely unmount old ignition barrel? As you shlwed that system use a RFID Key Is possibile use the original RFID Key Iside your ignition Key since i woud like use the immobilizer already used by car (i have a Ford Fiesta european version)

I can now turn on the dashboard with the button but when i press the break pedal and push the button once it turns off the dashboard, and no cranking 😩 Actually it turns off and on half a second after... What was you doing at the end with RFID chip from the key ?and is the brown for cars running on a different electric current? Meaning you would use brown as live for AC instead of red
@@ChazzCoombes no worries just checking,gonna have a go on my old Mazda Tribute which has mostly if not all ford electrics will double check my wire colours ect ,if in doubt leave alone is my approach forgot to ask and might seem silly is it best to disconnect the battery when installing???

hello again I have one more question for you, or if in your Mondeo mk4 change from the ignition switch to the engine start button according to the instructions, this replacement is legal in the UK or I can normally do MOT, can I put the button in the place where there is an ignition switch or must be in a separate place?

Nope this system has an immobilser and the chip is on your keys so even if someone did brake in then without the chip couldnt start the car. Ive tried lol

This kit dont but the other kit i installed has keyless entry.

Hiya David, i was placing it near the RFID reader that is stock on the car. The brown wire is not needed cheers

How reliable is it? I've been looking into it and everyone is telling me not to do it, apparently it's very unreliable
