Malaysian here and now based in London. Honestly, in terms of the chicken, KFC from Malaysia tasted much better than the KFC in the U.K. The one from the U.K. always soggy and not crispy enough.

It's such a Malaysian thing to travel far just for food. For example, I once drove from KL to Ipoh just to have breakfast. Hung out for a bit then drive back to KL. Your commitment to nasi lemak is admirable 🤣 Y'all turning Malaysian.
I flew to KL from Labuan once on weekends just for satisfy cravings for KL foods. Flew on friday and came back on sunday. Even brought a pack of nasi kandar before leaving to the airport. Its my lunch once i landed in Labuan 😂
Yeap....this one i agreed..... Me and my frens used to go to bagan lalang at 8pm just for ikan bakar and shoot to genting just for mmak teh tarik in genting first world at 2am and back to kajang for breakfast roti canai at 7am
Malaysian fast food restaurants chain is Marrybrown... mostly chicken, fried chicken, chicken burgers and Malaysian menu..give a try... there is nasi Lemak and nasi Kandar at Marrybrown
We went to Mary Brown at KK airport and had the worst food poisoning of our lives 🙃 we will still try it again at another location, but not straight away haha 😅

KFC Nasi Lemak is my most favourite Nasi Lemak. The rice itself has enough "lemak(santan)" coconut milk and soft. The sambal is strong with anchovies. It's a completed package Nasi Lemak Classic itself and the KFC just an additional(even without the KFC it is good enough). Love it !

From time to time, fast food chains in Malaysia will come up with a special menu which incorporates popular local dishes. Some of the menu was apparently made to stay (such as the nasi lemak menu), but some were seasonal / only a temporary promo. In the past few years we had the KFC Nasi Kari Atuk (curry rice), KFC Rendang Rice Bucket and there's also Pizza Hut's Durian Cheese Pizza 😂 (just to name a few!) We sure love our food ❤
Tried kfc london back in 2008. Must admit their kfc were terrible. Too oily and greasy. Chicken too small. But cant komplaint much. Seems like malaysian kfc also going thru the same phase of decline. Most malaysian now prefer Texas Chicken.
village park's foods are excellent with so many varieties not just nasi lemak but very crowded. Not sure why many western bloggers keep going to Wanjo at Kampung Baru? I think the location is just for convenient in city centre but it is a bit oversold now.

Get an empty bottle jar. Go to the street vendor and ask them to fill it up with Belachan sauce (Shrimp paste sauce). Anywhere you go to eat, take the jar with you. Add them belachan on the side and you will like the food. Even with dessert. Durians and others. Put some belachan on them. It is so invirogating taste.

My favourite Borenos Fried Chicken🥰😍, must try at Sabah, no found at any other state of Malaysia. Expecially their full spring chicken (with no cut) - super juicy and tender. Sabah nasi lemak sweeten compared West Malaysia. KFC McD nasi lemak standard spicy all around Malaysia. For seafood, must try more. Clam, prawn, fish, stingray. Salted egg fried squid most people favourite😆

Fast food chains in Malaysia like to compete in selling the same products, eg when McD introduced the Nasik Lemak dish, KFC followed suit. So a little advice, if you want to eat chicken, go to KFC, forget about Ayam McD. If you want a chain store burger, go to McD and forget about KFC's burgers, whatever name they come with. (But I could guarantee you that Ramly beats both of them hands down) These are the respective chain store signature products, and they remain better than the pretenders.
My favourite KFC loaded potato bowl 👍👍👏👏. I just love the popcorn chicken, corn, cheesy sauce and mashed potato. They used to have salted caramel pudding...fantabulous. Too bad they don't sell them now. Taz you like you're having a food coma there. Shows how much you enjoyed the food.
13:05 well if you think that burger or kfc chicken is too plain or something..you can put sauce.. in Malaysia KFC, they have 3 sauce like chili, tomato n Thai sauce.. you can choose that..if you dine in..it was self service
I used to work at an office that was attached to a mall and I used to eat KFC nasi lemak for breakfast on my way to work. IMHO it is one of the better fast food nasi lemak. I love it but my wife hates it because of the slightly sour/tangy sambal.
Another good fast food nasi lemak is the one at Marrybrown. It's a local fast food chain and it's not very common but if you can find one try the nasi lemak. Their fried chicken is also quite good.

It's somewhat common for KL folks especially, to drive to melaka for eg, for breakfast, or for lunch, and then drive back home

Street nasi lemak by stall or u go to Malay restaurant to get the best and real taste of Nasi Lemak..The sambal is the main flavour of Nasi Lemak..

Fast food chains in Malaysia like to compete in selling the same products, eg when McD introduced the Nasik Lemak dish, KFC followed suit. So a little advice, if you want to eat chicken, go to KFC, forget about Ayam McD. If you want a chain store burger, go to McD and forget about KFC's burgers, whatever name they come with. (But I could guarantee you that Ramly beats both of them hands down)
These are the respective chain store signature products, and they remain better than the pretenders.

My favourite KFC loaded potato bowl 👍👍👏👏. I just love the popcorn chicken, corn, cheesy sauce and mashed potato. They used to have salted caramel pudding...fantabulous. Too bad they don't sell them now.

I used to work at an office that was attached to a mall and I used to eat KFC nasi lemak for breakfast on my way to work. IMHO it is one of the better fast food nasi lemak. I love it but my wife hates it because of the slightly sour/tangy sambal.
Legendary breakfast!! 😁 we definitely preferred it to McDonalds 😊
Another good fast food nasi lemak is the one at Marrybrown. It's a local fast food chain and it's not very common but if you can find one try the nasi lemak. Their fried chicken is also quite good.
Unfortunately, we had food poisoning after eating Mary Brown so we won't be trying it again anytime soon 😪
