For 90 quid it actually is worth the price and usability in such a small package. No one else has really done it like this tbh. Perfect kids first keyboard in an apartment.
Something like General Midi keyboard on the go but with actual access to 88 keys in a tiny room.

That's pretty impressive! I think I might have gone for some small Yamaha like the PSS-A50 because I think velocity is kind of important, but you could also definitely argue that having the full 88 keys is important too. Can't have everything, especially at this price range.

Make it touch-sensitive and 73-76 key and you've got a nice travel practice controller. If you are working out at the far edges of 88, you aren't going to be using this thing anyway.

Got 1 of these for travelling that can fit into the hand carry and don't need to check an extra keyboard case on a plane. Even if you live in a small space, there are portable keyboards like the Casio Privia PX-S1000 & Roland FP-10 that are much closer to the sound and touch of a real piano with weighted keys.
A good keyboard I came across while travelling in Asia goes by the name BSK (short for Busking Anywhere). The company has a portable splicing version (splits into 2 halves) DK09-Duo for travelling and the longer version BSK BP88. The bigger version is in 1 piece but still very light and portable and can fit into a small space (128cm x 17.6cm x 6cm). The keys of the BSK BP88 are much closer to a real piano than the splicing version with keys not much better than the Carry-on Folding Piano 88.

I travel a lot & it's so frustrating not having a keyboard, even taking a micro Korg , it won't fit into a carry on bag . If it was touch sensitive it would be a great rehearsal tool. When we use rehearsal studios, we take our guitar (bass) and pedals ... Drums and amps are usually provided.... But our keyboard guy has to hump his big heavy flightcased keyboard. I think with touch sensitivity and better sounds there's a niche for this..!!

I just ordered a later model from China that was cheap - and is - apparently - on its way to me? According to the tracking service :) . It also ( supposedly??) has rudimentary touch sensitivity with 4 levels of volume response based on pressure. Anyway if/ when it arrives I will let you know! I'm always a bit cynical with things bought via online promotions but something at least is in transit to me right now. 😄 A lot of pianists have complained of the computer keyboard style keys. From a pianist viewpoint I totally understand. Where I think this could come into its own is for the person like my son who is fluent in computer typing who isnt an experienced pianist. The feel of the keys will be more familiar to him and less of an obstacle than a standard piano keyboard. Great as a midi for composing video game music, you tube backing tracks etc. I just want something portable that I can play with headphones & also to use for composing. @@darkshadow7709 Well, it's a bit cringe worthy for musicians, because of the cliche theme of how it portrays musicians, but it's done well enough to be enjoyable, and the characters are likable. Many variety music in it too, they even featured Thundercat in it.

Guys, word to the wise: get rid of that horrific table covering. Use a plain covering, ideally black, it will make everything look better. Videos are great though.

Oh God. Where to begin? Make it with 61 keys, add a USB-C connection, Bluetooth so you could send it out to a decent speaker, add a MIDI-In, touch sensitivity, add STANDARD cable jacks, and finally, dump those shit sounds and make it a MIDI controller, THEN, it might actually be a decent little keyboard. If they did even SOME of those things, it might be more palatable. As it is, it shouldn't be sold in any retail music shop. No disrespect is intended toward Anderton's (it's obvious that the guy doing the presentation is REALLY trying hard to come up with "positives" but it's just not there). Guys, this shouldn't be sold anywhere other than a back-alley import/export shop with a retail price of no more than about 50 USD. The fact that this "instrument" has been sold and resold under different brand names (and no, Blackstar did not make this instrument; a quick look on the back will say it's made "in partnership" with Blackstar) should tell you all you need to know about the quality of this ...thing. Don't get pulled in to this whole "folding" gimmick. Go buy a decent Casio or Yamaha keyboard. If you buy this thing, you may as well throw your money in the fireplace.
