@0:24 You are at Reliable Chevrolet in Albuquerque. This is a Berkshire Hathaway Automotive dealership. Every single car they sell, they force you to buy the XPEL tint and door edge guards along with the ZAKTEK packages. If they don’t add them on, they wont sell you the car. They’ll lower the price of the car to build the add ons in the price. All the employees get a bonus depending on how many of the “ZAKTEK” crap they sell. The whole purpose of the ZAKTEK applications is for the Berkshire Hathaway Dealerships to sell you a car every single time you come in for your service appointment
100% it’s a free country but it’s not a free market. Our states restrict the manufacture from selling directly to the consumer Tesla tries to find a way around it but there’s all sorts of gimmicks in each state they have to get around is that a free market to you?
@@WheelsandWallets our ability to walk away from a bad deal keeps the market free...let them re-arrange the deck chairs on the titanic however they wish...if the end price is too high, the consumer still has all the cards by not making a purchase...eventually price discovery will reach equilibrium.

just gunna state... you can't blame the dealer entirely, you have to blame the smooth brains who buy them at that price. thats why the dealers keep trying.
Do one of these on HD Ford Chevy and Dodge please sir. I'm curious about other areas of the country. I'm in Texas and it is DUMB how much they are charging here. I just looked a the prices on the ZR2s here and they are at 51k. No markups.
There a lot of factors involved, but the main factor everyone making these videos is missing is ESG. As automakers invest in ESG-friendly technologies, such as hybrid and electric powertrains, and the "environmental friendly" power supplied to the factories, production costs will rise. These increased costs will be passed on to consumers resulting in higher new vehicle prices. ESG is being rebranded to "Transition Investing", but it will still be ESG.
You should do Airpark Dodge and Fiat of Scottsdale and Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale, ABC Nissan, Camelback Ford, Cambelback Toyota and Midway Chevrolet in Phoenix. They do all the BS mark ups and market adjustments. Sanderson Ford and Sands Chevrolet on US 60 (Grand Avenue) in Glendale doesn’t do those kind of things.
These add ones aren't the only problem. One thing is they are overpriced and junk. People want a good , cheap dependable vehicle. Make a vehicle with the basics. You don't need electric windows, and all that high tech . Make it simple.
It’s a rip off buying a car during these times. It’s better to keep your current car maintained and wait for the crash.
When trump takes office there will be a crash, we might not survive it.
They can keep them! They did it to themselves.
spare tire/wheel looks silly up in the bed like that on the Colorado.
Yeah it does. Not enough room under the truck cuz it’s full of addendum stickers 😂
Makes the dinky box look smaller.
@@crlaw75 exactly
With the price of tahoes and depreciation we are buying a Lexus this time and it’s cheaper will hold the value better and ride better WIN WIN
Give the new Toyota Crown a look, they are awesome.
You’d think they’d catch on by now that no one is paying for them ridiculous mark ups on top of he insane price😂

I love it. People keep financing negative equity. Hahahaha
The solution to high prices is high prices...
The people in those air balloons are trying to escape high car prices.
it's a free country...they can ask what they want...you can decide to pay it or not.

Exotic car prices for a princess truck one wouldn't dare take off road and risk a scratch!
"Are they using the nitrogen machine correctly?"...😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Plastic just shouldn’t cost that much!
Those spare tire carriers in the back of the Coloradoes look DUMB, especially if there's one under the box.
Slow the damn camera down when on stickers.

Your headline nicely sums it all up! 👌
Thanks
I pray my 2015 Honda civic with 93k miles lasts me long enough to see car prices come down enough where I can get into a new car
I’m for the petition of letting new vehicles rot until they bring work both prices and interest rates

No comparison between a Bowtie and a Toyota.
You are right. Toyota has a long way to go to catch up.
Kei vans are cheaper and more useful than these trucks!!😂
