Correction in the video: I underrated Specalter’s Mod Y quite a bit. It’s really good if you’re not relying on the doll for damage since it can lower her own skill downtimes which is why it’s commonly used with S3 for constant big damage. If you want to know how good it actually is, look at the H10-3 clear I linked in the description and watch how fast Skadi’s S3 comes back up despite being 90 sp.

We don't have to wait for new ones since soon we'll be able to use OG Specter in Abyssal Hunter teams. She doesn't have a module either so who knows what she'll bring to the team once they give her one. Interestingly, I wonder if there is even much of a point using her legendary S2 given how tanky Abyssal Hunters are. Might actually get better to have her use her S1 in most situations. Hmmmmm.

I think s1 for specter can be actually viable if you want a good uptime for atk boost with lower atk but higher duration, lower sp cost, and no stun. Also imagine if her module allow her passive to apply to all abyssal hunter lol that would be broken af.

There is a universe of difference this makes which is where i draw the joke that gladiia is a fucking better mountain now. You can probably instant deploy gladiia and mt, but hellugar is wayyy less amazing for early game rushes.
One thing I find funny is that Gladia's damage reducton talent was suposed to represent how they are specialized at fighting Seeborns. But seeborn's main damages source is their Nervous Impairment... wich deal 1000 true damage...so it's not affected by the reduction anyway... So now that the damage reduction is extended to ANY enemie, they are LESS effectiv against seeborn than the rest of the enemies.
Love how on brand this is for them - not only were they from a squad of supersoldiers and are used to fighting in a squad, they also originatefrom a constantly evolving hivemind-esque species. The synergy paired "every new AH only makes them stronger" makes it so cool.

One of the things you might want to note with Andreana's first module is that out of all deadeye snipers, she's the one that benefits from it the least because that module was meant to synergise with range extension... Which Andreana doesn't have as opposed to Ambriel and Fartooth, meaning she will only get the full 15% att increase when targeting enemies in her furthest frontal tile, otherwise you're looking at 9% on average. Yeah I don't understand why she couldn't get Firewatch's module.

Does it transfer to Andreana needing one less shot to bring a target below 50% hp? My guess is "maybe" and even then, is it really more valuable than a cycle 5 to 10 sp faster if she had Firewatch's module? I don't believe so.

I think there is one aspect that counteracts that a bit, though, and that's the over 50% health aspect from her skill. Generally speaking, enemies below 50% health enemies will be the ones closer to the exit. So depending on where you deploy your deadeye, other deadeyes might target enemies closer in, lowering their average bonus, while Andreana is potentially likely to pick a fresh target further out.
The Abyssal Hunters are an actual well-oiled machine with their modules, I'm really looking forward to Gladiia and Specter Alter's modules specifically.
Really dreaming other factions and niches will have the same synergy as the Abyssal Hunters. With so many operators now, niches and factions will make the gameplay more fun.
To put into perspective how much 30% damage reduction gives, it's about a ~43% increase in effective HP, for a total of 143% HP. That's pretty good. If we were to add the 50% bonus HP, they'll have around +114% effective HP, for a total of 214%. So basically all of them have double the HP. And if we were to do Skadi's S3, she'll either have 357% HP, or *428% HP* . Also note that since Gladiia's heal is % based, the healing also get's multiplied, so everyone is, in essence, getting double the healing and as for Skadi, that's a lot of HP. Abyssal Hunters are a completely fair and balanced squad.
To be fair a lot of them (excluding gladiia) are mediocre imo, and the cost needed to unlock modules is pretty high. Not to mention the fact that they need each other to perform as strong operators (again, excluding gladiia since she's a pretty cracked unit without modules lol) All in all i think this is what abyssals originally needed. Abyssal hunter team is broken, plain and simple and we should recognize that and not look at is at "oh this just make them average 6 star" as if 6 star consists only of Surtr and Chalter. What makes a 6 star a 6 star should be defined by its median, aka the "mediocre" ones.
You forgot to mention that andreana with all these buffs active can tank patriot spears forever which i think is a good example of how strong they are.

And they are almost as popular and lore important as the Sui siblings, more so to some fans. So you can be sure there will be a few more fish in the future that will bring their own broke AF party buffs as the whole faction is defined by them right now.
Considering what the AH squad has been fighting most of their lives, it makes sense that they are that strong. I don’t think Terra is ready for what is waiting beneath the waves.
I don't actually mind them being this strong together as long as they are the only faction that sinergizes this much and it just becomes their core gimmick that you're always supposed to use everyone, since you have to go through the hurdle of even getting these units to begin with, with Gladiia being event-gated and Skalter (although Skadi is easier to get) being a limited operator. I think it's a nice reward to have them go ballistic, lol.
Came back to this since Specalter just released in global, and with the foresight of knowing that we will be getting the ability to use alter and non-alter units in the same squad... i cant help but wonder what skalter and base specter are gunna get, and how disgusting 6 units with these buffs are gunna be!
even withj no more buffs, skalter can mega buff def and atk with s2 or just heal a lot with s1. she isnt technically an abyssal hunter tho so she isnt getting big buffs. og spectre on the other hand heals 6% max hp/second......... actually disgusting
This shit is about to be more broken after the 3.5 anniv stream, with the ability to deploy both original and alter version of operator on the field you'll be able to deploy Skadi, SkAlter, and Spectrer, SpAlter together!! HOLY FUCK.
Fr, they really did the archetype dirty. The only usable one is Glaucus while Nine-Colored Deer is still used as a base slave. Tsukinogi got the short part of the stick as the premiere unit of the archetype.
And this is without considering the possibility of the addition of a new Abyssal Hunter. With IS3 on the way and the release trailer they just showed with two new operators (one being the free op from IS3 and the other a vanguard with resemblance to abyssal hunters), I fear this might go even further beyond...
To be fair, when your whole entire existence is to eliminate the closest thing to cthulu itself, you gotta at least be BUILT to be able to do so... ...idk why, but this whole team synergy reminds me of Bloodborne hunters and their lore of them being capable of weilding such gigantic and gruesome weapons.
@@neardarkroad1347 If folks like Mizuki and Deepcolor are any indication, becoming a Seaborn may not be the end. They may have a chance to retain their humanity if they end up transforming. The biggest hurdle would then be a psychological one, being able to accept what they are.

I feel like the Arknights community has been turning into one where people complain that things are too weak, and then turn around and complain that they're too strong when they get buffed. I mean, I definitely understand when it comes to comparing Reed's module to Bagpipe's for example, but with Abyssal Hunters, the buffs they get are super strong, but limited to ONLY apply to four Operators (six if you count alters, but only four can be brought to a stage at once). Plus, they're supposed to be OP as hell in the lore anyway, so it makes sense for them, lol. I think faction synergies are super fun; they provide interesting, alternate ways to play the game that let you see some Operators in action who don't usually get used. Anyway, this was a bit of a ramble, but I hope it at least made SOME sense.
The problem isn't that the AH got buffed, it's that other operators are getting shafted. Gladiia got an amazing module while Snowsant didn't even get to remove the "infected creatures" part of her talent that Gladiia got with the "seaborn." For people who don't care too much about the AH, the clear favoritism is kind of annoying. Also, lore means nothing when it comes to game play, as exemplified by Chen and her alter.
I honestly love these “imbalanced” modules that buff team synergy and makes these unique teams viable strategies. I really hope that HG keeps it up and doesn’t give into community pressure to stop.

@@AcELord123 aspd and attack on tachanka on skill usage or defense penetration would be really good for him Because his weakness is: big defense enemies, and the relying on rng and aspd (more attacks means more damage increase atk, even MORE aspd may end up in EVEN MORE ATK) meaning the only way to make Tachanka use 5% of his true power is probably at IS2 or 3 with lots of asdp relics
i believe people were talking about how we were able to use alters and regular versions together in a map so if thats the case Skalter + skadi + specter + spalter + gladiia + andreana................. sounds like one hell of a good time :D
I can imagine then adding more abyssal hunters with more roles. For example; A mantis shrimp could be a brawler, a stone fish can easily be a cloaking specialist, a barracuda can be a fast redeploy, etc.

Isn't it a bit of an exaggeration to call them the most broken thing since blue woman 2: electric boogaloo? I mean, to fully get all of the benefits mentioned, you have to fully build 4 separate units and invest in their respective modules... Which could take months to do. Only the most veterans or dedicated factionknights players will unlock them all at a reasonable time. Most players will remain unaffected. If anything, it's a good thing that faction clearers finally have a higher risk ceiling to strive for.
Plus the units themselves are limited, you can only get Gladia from participating in the under tides event. And Spectre the unchained is on a limited banner which doesn't normally get reruns.
Damn alot of people would say they wanted more abyssal hunters/synergies for an op hunters squad and these modules just DID IT. I remember when I was reading Gladiia's talent and thought it was OP until I saw seaborn and I was like eh. Seeing the module ACTUALLY remove that clause had my mouth gaping. And that hp regen?? No welfare in their own right should have that much power
@@helostories5017 Yeah Lumen is not bad tbh, he is one of the only healers that I feel is really useful for a lot of situations since he can remove stuns and elemental damage. He just has low attack speed which is annoying until you bring Silence's module.
The reason why abyssal hunter has good synergy modules is probably because the creators favouritism towards them I remember a photo of one of Arknights creator
Also, I'm surprised that Lowlight didn't gave Andreana some god-broken module and instead it's just ASPD when compared with the +HP or +SP like other members.

The stat buff from the Abyssal Hunter is pretty hilarious. You can basically take those stat debuff for the daily stages for free since the buff the Abyss Hunter gives together is basically an inverse of a CC risk.

abyssal hunters buff more in their talents then support gaurds do in their entire kit
I don't actually mind them being this strong together as long as they are the only faction that sinergizes this much and it just becomes their core gimmick that you're always supposed to use everyone, since you have to go through the hurdle of even getting these units to begin with, with Gladiia being event-gated and Skalter (although Skadi is easier to get) being a limited operator. I think it's a nice reward to have them go ballistic, lol.
dont forget the amount of resources to get them lv3 modules

Came back to this since Specalter just released in global, and with the foresight of knowing that we will be getting the ability to use alter and non-alter units in the same squad... i cant help but wonder what skalter and base specter are gunna get, and how disgusting 6 units with these buffs are gunna be!
even withj no more buffs, skalter can mega buff def and atk with s2 or just heal a lot with s1. she isnt technically an abyssal hunter tho so she isnt getting big buffs. og spectre on the other hand heals 6% max hp/second......... actually disgusting

Gladia is the equivalent of Bennett C6, only work for a certain team comp but it is utterly broken.

Fr, they really did the archetype dirty. The only usable one is Glaucus while Nine-Colored Deer is still used as a base slave. Tsukinogi got the short part of the stick as the premiere unit of the archetype.

And this is without considering the possibility of the addition of a new Abyssal Hunter. With IS3 on the way and the release trailer they just showed with two new operators (one being the free op from IS3 and the other a vanguard with resemblance to abyssal hunters), I fear this might go even further beyond...
To be fair, when your whole entire existence is to eliminate the closest thing to cthulu itself, you gotta at least be BUILT to be able to do so...

I mean, the BB Hunter is a huge inspiration for AH. Too bad they inherited the same downside since AH will eventually become Seaborne.
@@neardarkroad1347 If folks like Mizuki and Deepcolor are any indication, becoming a Seaborn may not be the end. They may have a chance to retain their humanity if they end up transforming. The biggest hurdle would then be a psychological one, being able to accept what they are.

While Mizuki transformation resemble more to Hunters themselves since his data said something about an old man that give him something to save him from death.

I feel like the Arknights community has been turning into one where people complain that things are too weak, and then turn around and complain that they're too strong when they get buffed. I mean, I definitely understand when it comes to comparing Reed's module to Bagpipe's for example, but with Abyssal Hunters, the buffs they get are super strong, but limited to ONLY apply to four Operators (six if you count alters, but only four can be brought to a stage at once). Plus, they're supposed to be OP as hell in the lore anyway, so it makes sense for them, lol. I think faction synergies are super fun; they provide interesting, alternate ways to play the game that let you see some Operators in action who don't usually get used. Anyway, this was a bit of a ramble, but I hope it at least made SOME sense.
Btw Skalter isn't part of abyssal hunter.

The problem isn't that the AH got buffed, it's that other operators are getting shafted. Gladiia got an amazing module while Snowsant didn't even get to remove the "infected creatures" part of her talent that Gladiia got with the "seaborn."
For people who don't care too much about the AH, the clear favoritism is kind of annoying.
Also, lore means nothing when it comes to game play, as exemplified by Chen and her alter.
I honestly love these “imbalanced” modules that buff team synergy and makes these unique teams viable strategies. I really hope that HG keeps it up and doesn’t give into community pressure to stop.

Because his weakness is: big defense enemies, and the relying on rng and aspd (more attacks means more damage increase atk, even MORE aspd may end up in EVEN MORE ATK) meaning the only way to make Tachanka use 5% of his true power is probably at IS2 or 3 with lots of asdp relics

I mean, to fully get all of the benefits mentioned, you have to fully build 4 separate units and invest in their respective modules... Which could take months to do.
Only the most veterans or dedicated factionknights players will unlock them all at a reasonable time. Most players will remain unaffected. If anything, it's a good thing that faction clearers finally have a higher risk ceiling to strive for.

Plus the units themselves are limited, you can only get Gladia from participating in the under tides event. And Spectre the unchained is on a limited banner which doesn't normally get reruns.
Damn alot of people would say they wanted more abyssal hunters/synergies for an op hunters squad and these modules just DID IT. I remember when I was reading Gladiia's talent and thought it was OP until I saw seaborn and I was like eh. Seeing the module ACTUALLY remove that clause had my mouth gaping. And that hp regen?? No welfare in their own right should have that much power

@@helostories5017 Yeah Lumen is not bad tbh, he is one of the only healers that I feel is really useful for a lot of situations since he can remove stuns and elemental damage. He just has low attack speed which is annoying until you bring Silence's module.

The stat buff from the Abyssal Hunter is pretty hilarious. You can basically take those stat debuff for the daily stages for free since the buff the Abyss Hunter gives together is basically an inverse of a CC risk.
Now that they will remove the alter/original restriction we got a bigger and better AH squad
