Nah. To me the point is to smell good. I don't care what name tag is on the original I just think that if something smells good enough to cost over 100 bucks something that comes close would have to be a killer in the around 30 bucks category which is about as much as I'm willing to spend on a fragrance
Make sure you don't know them lol because if you do and they go to macys and try it on and say it smells nothing like what you wore that would be very embarrassing cause then you have to explain you lied and It's a cheap knock off.

I recommend you get Cuba prestige brown bottle , the black one is nice , very fresh and not over powering but the brown in the other hand performs better and has a unique smell.

The best example I can think of in my personal case is CDNIM EDP vs Aventus. I own both and I get better overall performance from the former than I do the latter.

This kind of video is one of my favorites. It is a great achievement to create a masterpiece in perfumery, but I believe that it is just as great of an art to accurately replicate a scent with much cheaper ingredients. Great video as always, I hope you'll make even more of this kind. :)
I'm obsessed with the mirage brand perfumes. I appreciate that although they are mimicking high end perfumes and may have similar names, they make them different enough to where it isn't a dead giveaway that your using a knock off. They also don't have that cheap, disgusting scent that a lot of knock off perfumes have. I actually had no idea these were knock offs when I first bought the sweet pink one (which is mimicking pink sugar). They smell like their own scents and smell expensive and high end in my opinion. The packaging is beautiful and a lot of them aren't completely copying the originals. I just love them. Bright Lights which is mimicking bright crystal by versace is my fav!

Hey Steven if you haven't already you should check out Guess Homme Seduction Blue. It smells identical to YSL La Nuit de L'Homme, and cost less than 20 dollars at TJ Maxx. The longevity might not be as good, but for that price its a good buy.
Ive been watching these fragrances channels for a week now and this guy by far is the best, he's not too playful and he's not to serious at the same time, but you can tell he has a passion for fragrances, on alot of colognes I haven't smelled yet, I really value his opinion on them thanks alot and keep it up bro. The Cuba colognes are very close replicas I've bought some of the designers their replicating and still like Cuba better.There not quite as loud as the designer ones witch is nice for a everyday or work day fragrance. It's hard not to want all the Cuba house fragrances they're inexpensive and look cool, and they have a lot of them. Great video 👍.

That unpredictable adventure literally smells like a chemical you would use to clean glass. I got it as a gift from someone. It's a cheap 15 buck fragrance. You spray it and you'll have a headache for days. Never get that. In my opinion. I get the aventus vibe they went for but its sooooo synthetic.
Haven't tried Glen Perri (yet) but Club de Nuit Intense Man by Armaf also smells very similar to Aventus and I am very satisfied. Great video, great channel!
I would surely recommend MJ Legend to anyone just as a great fragrance period. I have a sample of Bond No. 9 New Harlem and I haven't really compared the too, but MJ Legend is nice regardless. Great for the fall and winter in my opinion. I'm wearing it today as I type this lol.
Great List!! You really do need to try Al Rehab Silver. Not the roll on but the spray. It smells remarkably close. SMW was my brother's signature scent and after I gave him a bottle of the spray he said he wouldn't spend the money on SMW anymore. Silver is really close.

Mustang Performance is a nice cheap version of JPG Le Male. It definitely gives you the idea of it, and might help you decide if you want to spring for the real thing.
Definitely like the video! got some more to check out now. I've tried quite a few of the Cuba line. My first was Cuba gold. Definitely enjoy it, less synthetic than the original JPG Le Male, but a little more powdery. I get the powdery vibe from Cuba Royal as well. Both great. Got Cuba black, has a real leathery feel to it, not sure what it's supposed to smell like, but it's good, doesn't last long though. Cuba Prestige Legacy makes me think of Ed Hardy Villain for men, don't know if it's supposed to, but I definitely enjoy it...doesn't project like the Ed Hardy Villain, though. Cuba Prestige Platinum makes me think of Bleu de Chanel, but super watered down...can't beat the original, but still smells great. Cuba Prestige I really like the smell a lot, but something in it give me a nasty headache every time I wear it. I wonder if anyone has experienced that...or if Angel men does the same thing, haven't had the chance to test it. Really wish it didn't. Picked up the MJ Legend for $12 recently and I enjoy that one a lot. I get a sort of suede gourmand vibe in it, syrupy, but really nice. His Flight for men is really good too. Sort of like Yves St Laurent L'Home, but a little more peppery to give it a more masculine feel as opposed to the feminine vibe I get from the YSL. Thanks for the always informative videos!

Cuba Royal will help you receive compliments. Facts from a school janitor. Teachers loved in on me. They also live that Lomani Body and Soul. Cheapies give the everyday guy a chance to smell good and not just like hard work and bills

A couple "bargain" fragrances have peaked my interest and I was just curious to see if you had come across these during your travels , 1) Dunhill Desire Extreme and 2) Halloween Man Shot. You forgot about Giorgio by Giorgio Beverly Hills smells like tuberoses and has an oak moss shade to it with an aroma of white florals, lasts very long even though it's an Eau De Toilette, this 1981 release is $40 for 90ml Eau De Toilette, price may vary from shop to shop!!
Insurrection II Dark isn't a 'smell like' alternative to Spice bomb. It's the same spice vibe, but has a medicinal cherry smell instead of cinnamon. But a good purchase.

I just wanted to mention that there are 4 different Cuba Prestige scents. The Classic is Amen inspired, and that's the only one you mentioned that I could directly compare. Is there any way you could review the other Cuba Prestige scents? I don't know which scents they're inspired by, but I would love to know. The other Prestige scents are Platinum, Black, and Legacy.
Redolessence : enjoy your channel great recomme ration have bought about 12 of the scents you've recommended including the cuba scent. On that notes I was curious if you knew of any scents that utilize watermelon, I'm asking because one of my all time favorite fragrances is no longer available and would like something similar that I am still able to find. The scent I'm talking about is Candies for Men, I've tried Fragrantica's search by notes option, but as those in the scent game know just because a cologne uses similar key notes doesn't mean they will smell the same. I tend to have a hard time getting recommendations for this scent since it's no longer available and it was more of a mass produced fragrance during the time when Aqua de Gio was luring people to buy Department store fragrances. I know it's a stretch to expect you to have the time to read and respond to all the comments on your videos, but from someone who really enjoys your reccomendations it would be greatly appreciated, also sorry to hear about Mr. Sillage's, it's a loss for the entire fragrance community hope your processing the loss and would understand if the comment were missed especially during this time.
I personally don't know of any fragrances that utilize a watermelon note, but Creed's Millesime Imperial is said to smell like watermelon although it's not in the note breakdown. I know of scents that smell like other varieties of melon including honeydew and cantaloupe, but they're different than watermelon. Thank you for all of the kind words, and losing Chris was so difficult for all of us. I keep him in my mind every day.
Thanks for your insight. I would like to add one to your Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male comparison, that is Fujiyama: Gentleman. Having not ever owned or smelled JPG: Le Male, Once you mentioned Cuba Gold, I though of Fujiyama: Gentleman; which I recently bought and compared myself to Cuba Gold. At first I thought these (Gold and Gentleman) smell similar to birthday cake. I guess JPG: Le Male does to? (LOL)...Very sweet aren't they?
Cuba Gold smells exactly like Le Mal but doesn't last very long. Unpredictable Adventurer does smell somewhat like Aventus but dirtier almost leathery, very earth, like a biker fragrance or something. Ed Hardy Love & Luck by Christian Audigier smells exactly like Milliseme Imperiale and performs great...and is cheap. Perry Ellis 360 Red smells like Acqua di Gio and is a good performer as well...again super cheap. The Ed Hardy and Perry Ellis also make gift sets which I always like.

Stephen you are right on the money about Dolcelisir.I think it is closer to Ambre Narguile than Oajan since it better captures the tobacco note.

Mustang Performance is a nice cheap version of JPG Le Male. It definitely gives you the idea of it, and might help you decide if you want to spring for the real thing.
Definitely like the video! got some more to check out now. I've tried quite a few of the Cuba line. My first was Cuba gold. Definitely enjoy it, less synthetic than the original JPG Le Male, but a little more powdery. I get the powdery vibe from Cuba Royal as well. Both great. Got Cuba black, has a real leathery feel to it, not sure what it's supposed to smell like, but it's good, doesn't last long though. Cuba Prestige Legacy makes me think of Ed Hardy Villain for men, don't know if it's supposed to, but I definitely enjoy it...doesn't project like the Ed Hardy Villain, though. Cuba Prestige Platinum makes me think of Bleu de Chanel, but super watered down...can't beat the original, but still smells great. Cuba Prestige I really like the smell a lot, but something in it give me a nasty headache every time I wear it. I wonder if anyone has experienced that...or if Angel men does the same thing, haven't had the chance to test it. Really wish it didn't. Picked up the MJ Legend for $12 recently and I enjoy that one a lot. I get a sort of suede gourmand vibe in it, syrupy, but really nice. His Flight for men is really good too. Sort of like Yves St Laurent L'Home, but a little more peppery to give it a more masculine feel as opposed to the feminine vibe I get from the YSL. Thanks for the always informative videos!

Cuba Royal will help you receive compliments. Facts from a school janitor. Teachers loved in on me. They also live that Lomani Body and Soul. Cheapies give the everyday guy a chance to smell good and not just like hard work and bills

Hi Steve, loved this video and was just wondering if you have done another in a similar vein since this one. A couple "bargain" fragrances have peaked my interest and I was just curious to see if you had come across these during your travels , 1) Dunhill Desire Extreme and 2) Halloween Man Shot. Just curious to see if you have ever come across these two and your thoughts on them. The prices are amazing and from what I have seen so far they both might be worthy of a purchase.

Insurrection II Dark isn't a 'smell like' alternative to Spice bomb. It's the same spice vibe, but has a medicinal cherry smell instead of cinnamon. But a good purchase.

What do you make of the difference between Cubano brand vs Cuba brand. Both have variety sets I bought for my ex for Christmas this year. I have read that they are similar, yet seem to originate from different places (Paris and Italy, respectively). Do you have any information about this?

I just wanted to mention that there are 4 different Cuba Prestige scents. The Classic is Amen inspired, and that's the only one you mentioned that I could directly compare.
Is there any way you could review the other Cuba Prestige scents? I don't know which scents they're inspired by, but I would love to know. The other Prestige scents are Platinum, Black, and Legacy.

Redolessence : enjoy your channel great recomme ration have bought about 12 of the scents you've recommended including the cuba scent. On that notes I was curious if you knew of any scents that utilize watermelon, I'm asking because one of my all time favorite fragrances is no longer available and would like something similar that I am still able to find. The scent I'm talking about is Candies for Men, I've tried Fragrantica's search by notes option, but as those in the scent game know just because a cologne uses similar key notes doesn't mean they will smell the same. I tend to have a hard time getting recommendations for this scent since it's no longer available and it was more of a mass produced fragrance during the time when Aqua de Gio was luring people to buy Department store fragrances. I know it's a stretch to expect you to have the time to read and respond to all the comments on your videos, but from someone who really enjoys your reccomendations it would be greatly appreciated, also sorry to hear about Mr. Sillage's, it's a loss for the entire fragrance community hope your processing the loss and would understand if the comment were missed especially during this time.
I personally don't know of any fragrances that utilize a watermelon note, but Creed's Millesime Imperial is said to smell like watermelon although it's not in the note breakdown. I know of scents that smell like other varieties of melon including honeydew and cantaloupe, but they're different than watermelon. Thank you for all of the kind words, and losing Chris was so difficult for all of us. I keep him in my mind every day.

Thanks for your insight. I would like to add one to your Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male comparison, that is Fujiyama: Gentleman. Having not ever owned or smelled JPG: Le Male, Once you mentioned Cuba Gold, I though of Fujiyama: Gentleman; which I recently bought and compared myself to Cuba Gold. At first I thought these (Gold and Gentleman) smell similar to birthday cake. I guess JPG: Le Male does to? (LOL)...Very sweet aren't they?

Cuba Gold smells exactly like Le Mal but doesn't last very long. Unpredictable Adventurer does smell somewhat like Aventus but dirtier almost leathery, very earth, like a biker fragrance or something.
Ed Hardy Love & Luck by Christian Audigier smells exactly like Milliseme Imperiale and performs great...and is cheap. Perry Ellis 360 Red smells like Acqua di Gio and is a good performer as well...again super cheap. The Ed Hardy and Perry Ellis also make gift sets which I always like.

For a good cheapie/compliment getter try nautica voyage.you can get it under 20 bucks but alot women love it.i wear more expensive juices but voyage always gets compliments.women have grabbed me and asked what the hell are you wearing and dayum you smell so good.

Mont Blanc - Individuel. Smells almost exactly like Creed - Original Santal.
I got both and have a Creed can be a tad more smoothe.
