I can't believe I have to tell this to the official channel of a professional soccer league with 1.6 million subscribers, but for the love of god, show the actual goal from the regular broadcast view with a few seconds of buildup first, THEN start with the close-ups and different angles. A close-up of someone shooting and the ball bulging the net with no context isn't nearly as impressive to look at as you seem to think it is.
Is that all?! Only long-range shots?! Where are the beautiful team goals?! Where are the goals resulting from individual dribbles?! The top looks pathetic!!! as an example: Messi's last goal was the result of a beautiful combination!
Didn't you notice that there's no build-up shown whatsoever? To Americans goals apparently only count the last touch, everything that came before it is unimportant...
@@korganrocks3995 This is a departure from previous goal of the year candidates, and I expect most MLS fans would agree that a string of pinpoint passing makes a goal great as much as the shot itself. Why this crop of candidates is so restricted is honestly baffling.
most of these are just distance shots (near the outside of the box which is usually ideal shooting range for strikers, none are really far outside the box except for the goalie chip shots) with no or little defender pressure. Also, almost none of them involve dribbling past defenders or complex passes, these kind of suck for goal of the year candidates ngl
This is probably the worst edited goal of the year type video I've seen from an official outlet like MLS. Show the actual run-of-play broadcast footage and the broadcast replay(s) of the goal and then you can go into the terribly filtered, low fps, close-up angles if you really must include the latter.
As is tradition in MLS, when your goal of the week competition is a popularity contest among the idiots who still have twitter accounts, you end up with a bunch of garbage goals like these selected over the legit great goals. It always diminishes the goal of the year competition.
You call these great goals? These are goals that are scored almost every matchday. Where are individual dribbling goals, team goals with great build-up or great counters? So people in America consider only long range shots as good goals? Pathetic. That's why you'll never catch up to the rest of the world even after all the improvements and exposure Messi has brought to you.
@@bingchilling813 I'm not hating, bro. I'm just saying that their standard of selecting the top goals is below standard compared to the rest of the world. Even the sub-par Indian League selects better goals than these.
The goals are amazing, the editing of this video is awful. The first clip of each goal is rarely enough to actually understand what happened, and it isn't until the third or fourth replay that you get a stationary camera angle that shows the shot, the goal, and the flight of the ball without vomit-inducing panning too quick to follow the action. Later replays might be fine to show detailed view of the shot, or the follow-through, but for the love of the game please start with a contextual shot showing the entirety of the play.
This list is a joke. Mostly shots for 25 yards out. Challenging to be sure, but come on. No Raul Ruidiaz from the halfway line. That outrageous Chicago Fire goal. Come on, this is a joke. The only one that deserves it is Brian White, no one else is even near as cool
some of these goals are pure accidents and the players that have made them weren't even aware of them making it and not intentional but congrats to them.
Low skill bias by the Americans. No idea about the game. Where is Messi's goal in the last match? Fantastic team play, individual skill by the assistent, completing the hattrick of the MVP. Easy choice.
Luca orellano’s goal should win because he was on the side unlike Salt Lake City’s long range goals and it was a farther distant unlike Salt Lake City’s long range goals.
I was on your stream earlier, and found out you went to Berkeley College of music, I’m a musician, I was wondering if you have any advice on how to make myself stand out if I were to apply.
*bangers!* i'd give it to brian white, that scorpion was deadly af. of all the myriad ways mls has improved over that past decade, long-range shooting has been the most impressive. 😎👍
Haha, love that there is no Messi, in fact most were against Miami. There is gonna be so much complaints in this comment section. If Messi were in this, he would get too much votes because he’s a fan favorite.
Which golazo will win @ATT Goal of the Year?

I was wondering why they did pick one from each team with combinations? Oh good, you kicked over a goalie that was too far out.

Just show the goal from the normal angle!!! This editing really hurts my brain :(

Matias rojas long distance very accurate shot he deserved it
No team goals or dribbles? Bruh
catching the Keeper out of position shouldn't be a GOTY contender. take 5 of these out
These are always considered as puskas worthy goals in europe. What's the difference?
Where is Edwin Cerrio goal and Messi 😢

I think Jack McGlynn's has the sweetest hit on it among these

Is it like a rule you guys have that the first two camera angles aren't allowed to show us what's happening
Messi???

1. Cristian Arango
2. Mateus Bogusz
3. Brian White
If anything I wish the goals weren't just the ball flying into the net and not with the player.
MLS needs its own puskas

Messi
Evander or Messi 😌👍
Ningún gol de Messi? Y el de tiro libre en la escudra que bordeo la barrera?
What are these terrible replays
Maybe we shouldn’t highlight a racist like Chicho that was suspended for multiple games?
Gotta be Godoy's, that bike straight from the cross is just so clean
I agree

Gabriel Pirani’s goal against Cincinnati not being on here is criminal. Some of the best footwork I’ve seen this season.
What in the mid goals, horrible edit, dizziness angles, bottom 20 goals, did i just WATCH!!!!!!!
Just this? Really? Best goal or best shoot?
some of these goals are pure accidents and the players that have made them weren't even aware of them making it and not intentional but congrats to them.
3:32 What a banger! Moreira isn’t even a striker and that goalie never even had a chance

How can Brian White of the Whitecaps not win. A back heel rainbow at full sprint. Are you kidding? Who’s ever seen one of those. Got to be #1!
No MESSI GOALLLLL????
It ain’t all about him
Why do they skip messi here
Idk, because it isn't really all about him
Luca Orellano & Brian very very cool goal.
Chris Durkin’s was crazy…took it without looking and on the turn!
I was on your stream earlier, and found out you went to Berkeley College of music, I’m a musician, I was wondering if you have any advice on how to make myself stand out if I were to apply.
Nothing for Messi or Juarez ?
football is team sports, not like the baseball
Most of them were against Miami
No messi goal in top 20! I think he had couple of bangers
Westwood goal is incredible 🔥
Thanks ❤
Anderson Julio for me.
Wow! Just wow! If only more than one goal could win it. They're all very deserving of the title of "best goal of the season". 👏
*bangers!* i'd give it to brian white, that scorpion was deadly af.
