Hey everyone! Thanks for watching! Some notes: - David Stearns is a stud and going to turn the Mets into consistent World Series contenders, and he helped lay the foundation for the Brewers to be a consistent postseason team. - I SHOULD have noted that a significant portion of the reported payroll were in contracts not on the team. Still, the argument could go either way that "They are doing well with a significantly smaller payroll than reported" vs. "They have the ability to pay $56m+ to 3 players not on the team plus more". - The OMG sign is fun for the Mets and yes, every team has something like this. It is fun as a fan whose team (Brewers) got knocked out by the Mets to poke fun at them. - The slide by Rhys wasn't dirty, I stand by that. - Again, David Stearns with the monetary resources at his disposal with the Mets is going to incredible things for New York. As a Brewers fan, I wish my team could spend that much money and I do not care how the team wins as long as the team wins! It's been a long time coming for you Mets fans and I am happy for you (even if I am rooting for Cleveland to win it all). - I need to be better at editing, storytelling, all the above. I enjoy making videos and this was a bit of a different video to make after my team got knocked out in the worst way possible! Thanks for stopping by and watching! I do take feedback to heart and try to make videos better!
The reason the Mets payroll is so high is specifically 2 huge contracts. Justin Verlander & Max Scherzer. In return the Mets got a haul of a farm system. As soon as the new GM came in, he told Cohen to get rid of all the dead wt. he could. They tossed more contracts out the window. They were going to go young and fast, but then the team came alive after June. As for the OMG sign. Every team has a cringe celebration after hitting a home run and a ghayye dance when players get on base. The Dodgers have that ghaayye side dance they do. The Mariners have a trident in the dug out. Again, who isn't cringe?
Dude, if you just wanted to hate on the Mets, at least be honest about it and don’t try to make it look as if they’re the most hated team in MLB, when it’s not
And they are set to sign big players this coming off season, not all players work out for teams. Even without those big contracts not being on the team they are in the playoffs. Where's the problem??? Lol
Why are you hating on the Mets? Their payroll is more than a quarter dead money. The payroll doesnt reflect the product on the field. Do your homework.
The Mets have the largest payroll, yes, but technically they are paying a huge portion of that to the 5 prospects they got in return for their fire sale in '23. The Mets highest paid players are sitting at home watching the Mets in the NLCS. This was a punt year. Were playing with house money madude!!!!

Mets high parole is for players that are not even there. Paying dudes not to play for them.
well over 100m of the payroll is on other teams lol
And they are set to sign big players this coming off season, not all players work out for teams. Even without those big contracts not being on the team they are in the playoffs. Where's the problem??? Lol
@@SynsAce Steve Cohen is worth 20 billion dollars. A hundred million is chump change to him.
mets know what its like to be hated by everyone so, winkers personality fit right in.

You calling a dirty slide a 'baseball play' shows your bias. And we are laughing.
Great vid man
Dugout chronicles your video concepts are great but it’s a hard watch when the content of the edits don’t match the plays you’re talking about.
Hey Eric - I'll be better with this. Thanks for the feedback and appreciate you watching.
That payroll includes a lot of money that wasn't on the field this season.
Sounds like a salty brewers fan
*Whispers* You're not wrong. Appreciate ya watching!
OMG comes from the song that’s written by the player that plays for the Mets

The funny thing is, when he likely leaves for free agency this offseason us Mets fans are gonna go back to hating his guts!!!! That’s how it goes!!!!!
Won the first game 8 to 4
Mets love to be hated. Just like the '86 team
All the more reason to keep Winker on the Mets.
Lmao what is this
