I just want 2016-2017 era rocket league back. Epic ran this game into the ground and doesn't seem to give a shit about it. Or someone needs to create a spin off game.

@@richardcheese9152 The amount of skill differential in diamond is insane, people who play with space station camera settings, never use ball cam and doesn't even use air roll, to people who can flip reset consistently. The most frustrating part is that it is 2x as likely to be a smurf on the opposing team since you take up one spot on your own team. It also depends on when you play, I've noticed that during daytime a lot more people are worse. All this makes it so hard to know how to play, when to ball chase and solo carry or sit back, play defensively and try to win against a smurf and whatnot. It makes for a miserable experience to rank up when on a game to game basis you don't know who or how to play.

In one of Leth's videos, a DDOSser mentioned that you can't DDOS someone unless a goal is scored, so the way to beat them is to stall the whole game then score at 0 seconds. Don't know if this would actually work though.

fr, it doesn't make players stick with the game, even if they really enjoy it, if they think the game is dying. The game has had annoying server bugs that hasn't been fixed since the game came out, and they just seem to refuse to fix them. I completely stopped playing tournaments just because every game has a 50/50 chance to just not start and your tournament is over for no reason.

I have a bad feeling that Epic/Psyonix are trying to push an Overwatch-esque style of succession on us in a slightly less explicit manner. With Rocket League 2 coming out they're going to want everybody to flock to that game so they can pay for all the little microtransactions that constitute the majority of their revenue from this franchise, so they make Rocket League 1 a miserable, torturous experience until there's nobody patient or passionate enough to play. It feels like such a burden to play this game these last handful of seasons, as a former C2 struggling to keep champ at times anymore, even without being ddos'ed constantly (although many games end up with the whole lobby being thrown into near unplayable lag despite this).
Could maybe just include a 2-3 second clip in videos when you get ddos’d. Not really sure how much epic cares / can do anything about this, but it’s maybe a useful form of protest to log it when it happens. Hopefully the more people complain, the more the company prioritizes fixing the issue.
Hadn’t played rocket league in a while because the game is dying tbh, played like 5 games across 1s and 3s and 3/5 servers were crashing throughout the games. Psyonix and epic need to do something drastic to revive the game otherwise its going to die I feel, there’s already been endless empty promises like ue5, rocket tv, etc. and people are tired of waiting

Besides all this is anyone else also constantly getting error 71 when trying to queue casual games? It happens like 4 times every session. It usually happens during the very first queue and then at random times later on

Part of the reason I stopped playing. Not that it affected me that much. I just play for fun, but I understand you and other huge content creators and pro players can't just up and quit the game. It's up to us, the casual players that make up the majority of the player base, to make a difference because Epic clearly doesn't listen to the pros since they know they will play regardless.
Epic is a joke. I played this game religiously since 2016 and it's at a point where I would rather play anything but Rocket League. They have run this game into the ground and only care about Fortnite. It was a good run but this game will die completely in the next year under this trash company

Pretty sure they are in the fase where they don't want to invest anything into fixing this old UE3 garbage code but the UE5 port is so much work its gonna take literally years to get a good upgraded version of the code that isn't the Frankenstein that outdated software becomes.

I honestly feel terrible quitting after 6k+ hours, been my main game since late 2016 and I havent played in a couple months, I’ve never gone a week without playing a bit. The state of the game is so sad.
I feel like by the end of this year this game will have turned around. Take a break if ur not enjoying it but I think u should stick with it a bit longer

the trick to beating ddosers is to keep the ball up and score at 0 seconds. the guy who made the ddos software told leth and he showed it in a video
how does that work because the whole point of ddossing is that you get kicked from the game

Can someone explain what a ddoser is and what that was
They do something that causes the opposing team to lag spike. The more they do it the higher the rank they get, so inevitably it's the pro players that get them constantly.
A ddoser is someone who floods the server with a lot of packets causing the server to not be able to keep up with the real ones and end up just crashing, which essentially just disconnects everyone from the game.

Some players can load into a ranked game and ddos the server meaning everyone in the lobby leaves through a ‘connection error’ besides them, giving them the mmr
