Saving for a house like this would take years, considering the cost of the property itself, which can vary widely based on location and size, and factoring in ongoing expenses such as taxes, maintenance, and utilities.
It’s not just about saving money, it’s about making your money work for you. A house like this takes more than just discipline, smart financial decisions and investments play a crucial role.
Agreed. I bought my first home after I started working with an FA, Graham David Fullerton. He guided me through growing my savings significantly. It wasn’t easy, but it really paid off.
I’m not surprises to see ‘Graham David Fullerton’ mentioned. A few years ago I thought owning a home was out of reach, no savings, no IRA. Fast forward, 3 years of hard work and smart investing, I grew my savings to 350k and was able to buy a home. If I can do it, anyone can. Graham was instrumental in helping me achieve this goal.
Where do I start? How do I begin investing? I don't think I can ever get a home with the current rates. If anyone has advice, please share. How do I connect with him?
"The house is standing on granite, concrete posts with bricks just put together." This made me chuckle. I commend your bravery, there's a lot to learn!
Purchase cost €47K ( no survey ?/ architect says demolish!) Architect cost ? Legal and Planning costs? Demolition and site clearance ? Groundworks Sewage Power Water. Foundations Concrete slab Stone walls Plumbing and Electricity. Fit out If you are serious about this build, you must budget for these costs.
that was clickbait and i fell for it, so yeah they haven‘t in the slightest given a full cost run down at all…these are channels I avoid and am not interested in ever visiting again…
He's Brazilian; we'll discover additional costs throughout the journey and get screwed unless we find a workaround 😅. Just for the sake of the joke, we're the kind of people who buy concert tickets 4,000 miles away before figuring out if we'll get the day off, how we'll get there, where we'll stay, or how we'll even afford it (Eliezer has a Brazilian Portuguese channel with 2 Mi + subscribers, and there was a time he would walk around Camden Town to eat leftovers that people left at McDonald's, or wait for the food trucks to close so he could ask for free food) so he is the improvisation kind of guy
Looks like a cool project and I will be interested in the weekly videos! I have a few questions: 1. The 47k, was it for the old house or for the architect or what? 2. How much did the architect cost? 3. Do you need a building permit for something small like a Sauna?
3 years!!! I'm a designer and builder and a house like this can't take more than 1 year. Beautiful design with Scandinavian features. Here I am following the entire process, good luck. If you have any questions, you can write to me.
if I may guys, that "second entrance" of the road using terrace, from the road side will plant Cypress as a barrier for privacy with gate opening to get to the terrace. it is perfect place to sit there and even if someone passes by that road you are secluded...enjoy, very nice setup.
Hmmm some key questions - budget.....this won't come cheap! €1k/m2 - you are fully dreaming, no way!! FYI, I'm just finishing renovating a 300m2 property in Spain, the total cost is €4k+ per m2. Our architect at the beginning also told us €1k/m2. Luckily we didn't trust their forecast and we have deep enough pockets to affird more. So never trust what an architect tells you about likely cost, you really need to get a detailed quote from a reputable builder - even then you must add a 20% contingency for unforeseen problems, materials inflation and wage inflation over the 2 years of the project and of course optional extras you want to do. Energy efficiency in winter AND summer, especially the cost to cool in summer with all that glass. And fire resistance given the timber cladding.
Maybe we have a crazy short completion duration expectation to complete a project where I'm from, but 6 months seems long for that. Not hating, but clients would've moved on to someone else If I took that long 😯
Finally! an Architect who understands the surroundings and clients who want to make the most of it :) Wish you luck. subscribed, looking forward to see the project :)
That's beautiful. But with so much glass won't the house become an oven in the hot Portuguese summer? And likewise, won't it be expensive to heat up in the winter?
The structural job itself would be very expensive looking from the surrounding contour...the land is lower than the street so I think first you have to make sure that the road will not collapse...that just my opinion though 😁😁😁
Looks good. Well since covid it takes a long time to get materials. First permission zu build takes time, then order the materials. Do you have visas to live there ? Good luck 🍀
Would have been nice to integrate some sort of visual exterior parity with the existing houses in the region. You know; an understanding of the architectural vernacular? Contextualism anybody? But at least you got your double height ceilings 😂
Acompanho vocês já algum tempo tem alguma chance de mandar o contato do arquiteto ?! Sou brasileiro resido nos Estados Unidos no estado de Washington . Bençãos pra vocês!
So you wanna have kitchen smell and steam in your bedroom and walk your groceries through the other bedroom on a rainy day? design looks cool, but very inpractical layout at least for my lifestyle. great if it works for you, all the best!
the old houses were made for people like shepherds or farmers that were spending most of the time outside and did not need to see the outdoors, therefore no big windows required. Its normal for people to want modern designs, this house looks great. I'd be curious to see how the increasingly hot weather will impact the 2-storey glass wall. to return to the point, some classic elements could be incorporated, like the use of stone, but there's nothing wrong with something more modern.
@@DAKESIS17 A touch of modern conveniences is understandable but most of these modern houses just look like Starbucks or dentist offices. Why do people go to Italy or Europe? because of the look. Then they move their and build things that look like 90% of it comes from a box store. To each their own I guess.
but Portuguese country / farm houses are nothing like houses you’ll see in italy, it‘s simply design wise not appealing, I‘m sure those houses are not the reason people come to portugal

+energy certificats
+ the yearly tax bill which will be 500-700€ because it's a new build instead of 50€ which it would have been without a ptoject
Cost to fire the architect after discovering that the project is full of errors due to inexperience.
Any chance to get the contact of the architect? 😮

Wow it's going to look amazing! Can't wait to see the final build😍😍
Stunning ❤
I approve of the Poncha in this video.
I would encourage you to consider fire resistant siding if you are in an area that has fires. Crazy good design
Who is the architect and how much did he charged for the design please
Lets go!

You didn't recognize them? They are bitcoin millionaires! 10s of millions.
Depends on where in Portugal the property is.

Very good, i from brasil
Guys. This house is going to be A LOT more than 1k per m2.
look for a more of a mediteranean twist cause of the view the aquaduct/bridge view and the thick vegetation plus the sunny weather
What is the name of the architect?
i love this channel
I see you have concepts of a plan !

EU citizens dont need visa for EU countries

100% agree, the new design does not fit the local vernacular at all, the architect should have at least tried to reuse some of the existing structure
Your English's Version is late 😂😂 Eu vou ver todos episódio nos 3 canais 😍

Modern designs will ruin the Portuguese countryside.

I would rather see modern designs than houses falling and crumbling.

What law ? For which country ?
@@gavinhay6627was just about to say the same thing!
What? It’s clearly much larger than my apartment in California
Each country has its own laws and building standards. Which are you referring to? 😊
Well if the project was accepted then that's not an issue.
The house is horrible .....but you are adorable 😍
Keep your negative vibes to yourself
