- In this short video I will teach you another great stitch to use for baby blankets, scarfs, shawls, you name it. I am working a small sample for the sake of saving time. You can make this as wide and tall as you like. Just follow the instructions and you will be on your way. This stitch is especially cute for baby blankets. Another one to add to your list of go to for blankets. Thank you Zee for requesting this. I hope you enjoy it.

I have been looking for this stitch for 30yrs. Its a stitch my granny made my blanket with. She called it Crazy Stitch
Thank you so much! I have been searching for this pattern to make a prayer shawl. The pattern is so different from many shawls I have seen. It is lovely and will be nice and warm. Also thank you for showing the stitches and explaining them so clearly. ☺️
I love this!!! Thank you so much for making this so easy to follow.
In English it is called c2c/ corner to corner in a row.
You are a wonderful teacher.
Thank you for showing how to do this stitch. I found an old afghan like this and couldn't figure how to do it. It looks very simple. I will be doing that with my next project!
Hi Yolanda, I pray for complete healing... thank you so much for your tutorial....I first learned how to crochet a baby sweater from you.... keep getting better, day by day.🤗🧶
Thank you
@@yolandasotolopez your very welcome yolanda
I never go wrong with your tutorials, you are best teacher so far. I've made a blanket and it came out perfect. Kudos.
I have had a hard time understanding lots of other tutorials. this is the best one of this stitch I have seen. I cannot wait to start a baby blanket with this! thank you Yolanda!
I have used l nearly all your basic stitches to learn how to crochet and im really getting more confident at it, you do the tutirials at a nice pace where I can keep up with you,ive even done a couple of projects myself now so thank you and keep on with the tutorials, you have converted me from being a knitter to crochet.
Another great tutorial Yolanda! Looking for shell's videos, this is the best I have found. So clear, so easy! Bravo Yolanda, GRACIAS!
Thank you for this one. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS STITCH. Keep up the great work. I appreciate all your videos!!!
I do like the idea of the circle to show you center. She must use an iPod too.

I just subscribed to you and I love watching your videos. I learn so much and you make things so easy to understand. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the great lesson I love your channel. You are so easy to watch and learn from. I will love using this for my shawls and baby blankets. : )
Thank you! I'm currently working on a pattern that uses this stitch and it's very vague on what you do at the end of each row. This tutorial was clearly done and showed me exactly what I needed. :)
I. Have seen other slanted shells .i like your best.
Excellent explanation Yolanda! I LOVE you! Thanks for sharing...
I always enjoy your tutorials and see things I haven't seen before, but this time not so much...my nursing co-worker showed me this pattern a few months ago, and I just finished a blanket for our soon to be grandson. I added a frill, and will put blue ribbons at the join of the frill to the blanket. its just a small lap blanket, but boy, did it grow quickly.

Hi ms yolanda, thanks for sharing. I saw this other lady do this type of stitch. The way she did it was way different. I kinda got it. but, the way you explained it, made alot more sense. I cant remember the ladies name, but if you type in crazy afghan stitch or something like that it will come up. (this time yours came up first). now i know how to do it if i want to make a blanket or table runner etc. Thank you for u time in sharing. I love your tutorials english and spanish. Hugs from west tx

But know due to your tutorial i know now what i have done wrong. once again thank you .... I should stop buying books in my mothers language and stick to english book even i am not a native english .... lol
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials!!
Yolanda, I love watching your video. I wonder whether I could ask you to show how to crochet a floral granny square in spanish version. As I dont read or understand spanish would be nice to watch how to demostrate this crochet flower. It is also on youtube video. thanking you for sharing.
Yolanda, I love this stitch. Do you ever crochet in the thin yarn (it may not be called yarn) that doilies are made of. Curious to see that. Also, what camera do you use. It is very clear. Dee
hola como estas usted ms yolanda pregunta yo puedo hacer un bufanda y ademas puedo hacer un blanket.
gracias que dios me la bendiga siempre. eres una maestra muy linda y yo he aprendido mucho con usted...
You learn me so easy thank you so much
Pretty and simple.
gracias muy buen tutorial!!! felicidades
Going to make a dishcloth by this in. Dishcloth.
Hi...I think this may also be called slanted shell stitch...hope this helps...great tutorial as usual...TFS..Ann x
This is called the tulip stitch.
Its called a diagonal or corner to corner stitch.
So, I followed your pattern exactly, except I made a foundation chain off 99 + 1, so 100 and my shells look so good but they are triangles! Is that how its supposed to look? I alternated between two colors and it looks like a bunch of staggered triangles, I love it. I can't tell if its correct because using 2 vs 1 color seems to change the look dramatically. But I'm gonna keep going because it's so nice looking!
well, they are slanted shells so they learn over, so yeah, I could see they would look like a triangle. All that matters is that you like them. : )
No entiendo el idioma ingles pero te haes entender y muy bien explicas grasias
Hi Yolanda, thank you so much for this tutorial! How can a make this slanted shell stitch into a triangle? I would love to use this stitch for a prayer shawl. I hope that your able to help me. God bless you! :)
Like this stitch.
Yolanda I love this stitch!! How can i make it a round ad connect it? I want to make this into a skirt.
Do you have a tutorial on how to add a border to this with a different color? A nice thin one would be cute!
thank you... it was very helpfull...
its like a vari on corner to corner (c2c) awesome
I haven't done it like you have i-made a double crochet in 140 for the border first then I did the pattern looks nicer

This was a great video, you went at a nice pace, some are so incredibly slow. Unfortunately much of your yarn/piece is out of view. I'll have to go check out your other videos.
Can you suggest a hat to go with this, I want to do a hat & scarf set. Thanks!!!
Yolanda,
Could you do a paint brush stitch video? I only found it in Spanish, but I don't understand Spanish.
Thank you.
How do I finish the blanket off. I don't want to use it for the trim.
I have never made one of these before.
Thank you. :)
The typed directions which come in the screen come on in red and cannot be seen clearly either.
Hi I m doing shell tank top but I don't no how to read a written pattern so please help me. I have almost completed but stacked with sleeves so please make a video .
God loves you too.
i have made many asanas of this design.
I love this stich, I have seen this stich start with one shell and increase to more and then decrease back to one, how do you increase each row then how do you decrease each row. The lady that was going to teach me passed away. Thank you for any help you can give me
THANK U YOLANDA U EXPLAIN IT VERY,VERY WELL. (*.*)
My book calls that a sleepy shell.
I really like your patterns & the tutorials, but I wish you would keep your hands in the camera You hands are high at the top and sometimes your not in frame.
Her hands are too high up above camera view. We cannot see where sh is inserting her hook. Plus, she is just saying “go in here” not saying where she is inserting her hook. She needs to say where she is inserting her hook.
Hi Yolanda, great video, you have taught me many of your projects, thank you. I have a request for a stitch, it's Stitchfinder: Crochet Stitch Petal Mesh by Lion Brand. the link: cache.lionbrand.com/faq/356.html?www=1&lbc=&language=En Can this stitch be used on a bodice on a summer top?
I love your videos, but for some reason they cut in and out like crazy. :(
