However, overtime, he struggled to regain the same momentum, with tons of problems spilling out over to social media. Never ever ever in my life have I seen a one-hit wonder rapper make 1 big song, fail to chart for almost 10 years and become a laughing stock, then make a hit and come back. You can say Tyga or Soulja Boi but they barely came back and also were famous for their social media presences. YBN Nahmir rather is the portrait of a 1 hit wonder, and hes not a generational music talent. People likely arent going to come back around for him.

I watched Nahmir from when he blew up until now and I can say he self-sabotaged his career himself. Firstly, it shouldn’t have taken almost 4 years for his album to come out from when he first blew up. It didn’t help that Nahmir blew up during the “Clout era (SoundCloud)” and waited to drop his album not only when his personal hype died down but also when his style of rap died down. By 2021, rap had shifted into street rappers that had actual street cred.. the Pooh shiestys, the King Vons, etc. Nahmirs fake gangbanging style of SoundCloud rap had died by the time he dropped his 1st album. Then adopting a fake LA persona was corny. LA music isn’t even in style like it once was. Also, he prioritized his relationship at the time over his music career it seemed like. That lovey dovey stuff didn’t help his image either. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that relationship. Great video though!

My frustration with him is that he seems very short sighted. He turned down a 20k boxing match that Adin offered him because it wasn’t enough. Bro hasn’t dropped a hit since 2019 and he thinks he’s worth 100k for a appearance. That could’ve easily been used to get people interested in seeing him on camera again and getting a feel of his personality better. He holds on desperately to the gangster persona that he blocks his own blessings. He should’ve been one of the FIRST rappers streaming and playing games considering he starting rapping on GTA but he wants to run from that fact and be something he’s not and now the flame he had when he blew up is a small ember and he’s doing these 1k features to keep himself afloat presuming he has a couple other things that he gets paid from. There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be one of the biggest rap/streamers rn but he never commits to being on camera cause how it’ll effect how he’s perceived. He wants to be tough, imposing and rough around the edges but everyone can see that he’s really just a chill semi talented rapper who is generous, cool and ultimately just like a good amount other kids who actually had people around them that loved them growing up. I mean for Christ sake the guy had BRACES.
