Just in the last few months I started to try weathering chassis and engines. I enjoy it because of the randomness of it, and almost anything goes. I may have to try this. Thank you for sharing!
nice video! I've been using that MIG stuff for a while and one of the cool things about the enamel stuff is that it stays workable for a while. A couple of hours after putting the stuff on take a brush that is just slightly damp with thinner and blend them, erase them, feather out the edges, work in streaks, etc. Fun stuff!
I recently bought some of that stuff. I bought a slimy grime and fuel set. I have dark and light slimy grime. I have not tried it yet. Thanks for doing this video. It was nice to see how this stuff works. It appears to be a lifetime supply.
I hear Zonie Cricket, your sound engineer. The scoop on the new issue is a 5" Sox and Martin piece, which I ran on my '68 Mustang back in the street race days. Still reproduced.
"this stuff smells like fuel"... Here's what you don't know... IT IS FUEL!... Not really, but seriously though... Watching this video makes me wanna go 10mm hunting... You say you worked on cars so you know what I'm talking about... The final product of that engine was amazing... Great video...

Cool that these products are available, they take the guess work out of mixing your own colors for this kind of engine detail. Good video !

I can't wait until you bring back Adventures in Building a Model Car.
Will have to check that out. Was looking at AKs stuff but wasnt sure if it would work with car engines.
Maybe you can get back to this project soon. It was my 5th or 6th kit as well. I built mine in 94'.

LOL, Happy little leaks
You should thin it with enamel thinner then apply.
I can almost smell that engine. Who knew that grease, grime and fuel stains came in a bottle!

Just take it to Jiffy Lube and they can spill a lot of fluids on your engine. They do it to mine.🤣
you just cost me more money :|
