Thanks man! This is the most helpful installation vid of Junior 800. I have a 2021 Z400. Do I have to worry about sparks when installing? Thanks, from Canada.
There should be no problem taking the battery indoors and running the battery tender off of power in the house. It comes with Alligator clips so easy to do!
That is what I do, leave it connected for days or even longer. Check the documentation, but it's supposed to be an intelligent charger that sensees when the battery is full and stops and kicks back on when the battery drops off.
I have these on all the bikes now too, so so handy to not have to worry about the bikes battery when we get those few weeks of misery where riding isn't the thing to do! In fairness I usually only get about 4 weeks a year where I can't really ride, which is not so bad. Haha levels wise where would you put me? :D
I suppose it would help as a trickle charge should a much less dramatic experience battery then say a quick charge but 3 batteries in 3 years is pretty extreme. You might have some other issue going on IDK. Have you been charging it while during the lockdowns?
Mine failed less than two years into the five year warranty (purchased 11/27/2020). Autozone would not refund or exchange so I’m stuck with dealing with the manufacturer. Naturally it just failed on Labor Day holiday weekend so the manufacturer is closed until Tuesday. Emailed customer service so we’ll see. A number of repair videos exist which show the capacitors used by Battery Tender are garbage and you would think the manufacturer would have upgraded the part by now. My recommendation is do not buy and put yourself through the ringer.
@@MonkeyButtRides Thank you. Really down on Autozone and Battery Tender for wasting my time on this! I am posting this comment all over the internet including one you tube by their President/CEO. Hopefully, he will get their quality control/production corrected.
@@MonkeyButtRides Deltran has sent a replacement after a call and sending them pictures of the Autozone receipt and unit with the numbers on the back and cut cord showing.
That's cool, mate. I've done similar in the past by installing power outlets on the bikes. Cheers
Very cool! 👍
I have not seen someone make installing Tender cables so entertaining
😂😂 Thanks. I try.
@@MonkeyButtRides keep it up, enjoying the content and pretty bikes, mate! 👍👍
I've never used a battery tender. I just tell my wife I have to ride every time the weather is reasonable to keep it running lol
That works to!!!! 😁👍
Good for you man here -30C all 6 months
Lol

It's possible to spark when connecting the battery terminals. I always remove negative/ground first and put it back on last.
@@MonkeyButtRides thanks man. It's just I had a bad experience with boosting a car. But I think I can do this! 🙂
@@MonkeyButtRides ...looks like easier than changing an exhaust tip which I did on my own.
I need to set up those connections for all of my bikes.
It's nice to just switch plugs...haven't rode in going on for a month now.
I live in Cali so no “Winter Time” for me but I plug my bike after every ride…… I ride a Yamaha 🤣
It’s definitely nice to have choices MB 😜 I should be doing this over the winter aswell 😀🤘🏻
It has made life very easy so far as we head towards winter.
Im assuming you can't use this indoors. Like pull the battery out, bring inside. And charge it from a home outlet

Dude I sold those over here and they did real well
The charging unit or just the cable. I've already got a 2nd cable and hooked it up the GSXR.
@@MonkeyButtRides whole unit
Auto zone just had me but this when i asked for a trickle charger for my volvo car. It was the only one left. Will this work for a car. Its 800ma one.
Yes should work for a car same 12volt system
Can I leave this tender hooked up for days or even weeks without disconnecting it? Just got mine yesterday and it's fully charged (solid green)

Haha I looked up a review for this product… I LIVE IN COLORADO SPRINGS hah snowed today and ninja wouldn’t start, my cruiser bike does fine tho
I'm still using it. I swap it between bikes, it's perfect. It's going to be nice tomorrow, get that ninja out for a ride!

I should have done it a LONG time ago. I would put you around the same place I put myself....6/7 ish...
@@MonkeyButtRides haha saved yourself.some batteries!
I'll take that!!! 😁😁😁
Does a trickle charger extend the life of your battery. I've had my bike for three years and I'm about to buy my third battery.

@@MonkeyButtRides Never charged it. I just clutch start the bike when the battery dies. Hahehehehe
😂 Yeah I think a trickle charger might help you get more then 1 year average battery life.
@@MonkeyButtRides It'd definitely help him the big goose :D
@@TheGorillaBiker Oi. I might be a big goose but at least I'm not a monkey butt or a gorilla.
The Suzuki is street legal now!?
Sadly no, but I have a plan.....
