Their founder also arranges their music and he is a genius. I would highly recommend their version of Mary did you know. It features the writer of the song and is incredibly moving and beautiful. ❤

Welcome to the world of Voctave! Sooo many good Christmas songs from them. This song is definitely more choral and traditional in nature. it is one of my favorites.
Where Are you Christmas and Mary Did you know (featuring a solo from the songs writer Mark Lowry) are great!
They have so many wonderful medley, and they have all been now or at one time part of the Voices of Liberty at Epcot at Walt Disney World in Florida.
The Disney Princess Medley and The Disney Heroes and Villians Medley (featuring the ladies and men of Voctave respectively) are great for after the holidays. Hope to see more Voctave reactions.

Voctave is my favorite holiday group - all the nostalgia of classic caroling with phenomenal arrangements and vocals. They are masters of dynamics and bring so much joy to their performances.
Many (or all) of them met each other while singing for Disney World's live productions at the Epcot park in Orlando. Some still perform there (I got to see some of them live a few years ago).

Guys…they have another one. It’s called “ Mary did you know?” They sing it with a gentleman named, MarkLowry. You can look this up. The song has become famous the last thirty years. Mark wrote the song. Voctave Mary did you know, feat Mark Lowry. Mark has trouble walking and fighting MS but it has not hurt his voice. I’m not kidding you… If you want to see one of the best vocal performances ever play that song with Mark, Lowery and Voctave Amazing. Mary did you know.

Good to see at least a version of this song taken from the traditional version lives on via YT. Hearing it with a booming pipe organ live on Christmas Eve with a great choir is hard to compare

I was in a covers band many moons ago and we used to do a lot of "Eagles" songs.
As you probably know they are renowned for their amazing harmonies.
We would work out all the parts and rehearse them to perfection with just an acoustic guitar.
That feeling you get the first time you nail it sends tingles all over your body.
I just got that feeling again and it brought a tear to my eye.
    ✌️❤️🇬🇧

I would love to see a reaction with your 96 year old grandmother. That would be wonderful. If you want another jaw dropping song by Voctave, watch Mary Did You Know with Mark Lowery. He wrote the lyrics and uses a stool because he suffers from MS. But it is without a doubt the best version I’ve ever heard of that song.

Great reaction! And believe it or not, Florida is the only place in the world that has both alligators and crocodiles living together naturally.

I really enjoyed your reaction! They are a phenomenal singiing group with an extensive repertoire. If you want to continue on the Holiday theme, I highly recommend that you check out their rendition of Mary, Did You Know featuring Mark Lowry (the song lyricist), or Joy to the World or Where Are You Christmas. You really can't go wrong with anything they sing. If you want a good idea of just how good they really are, give a listen to their Disney Princess Medley which features each of the ladies, or their Disney Heroes and Villains Medley featuring all of guys.
I look forward to many more of your reactions. And just a suggestion... let your grandmother participate in a reaction. She sounds like very interesting lady!

They do many many Christmas arrangements. They are most popular for their Disney music. A song that features the women is the Disney Princess Medley, for the men listen to Villains & Heroes Medley. Jamey Ray arranges and performs with the group and was standing back/top/center.

Most folks hear Voctave and think "Oh they are just a choir", but may I presume to recommend them Performing the "Disney Princess Medley" and you can get a real feeling for the fantastic individual voices of each member AND its a great reaction video, really fun. I had the wonderful experience of seeing them perform in Florida and was spell bound by their abilities. Great reaction as are all of your reactions.

I'm so happy that you've found Voctave -- and I'm especially happy that I found your channel! I LOVED your reaction to them ! All of the acapella groups are great -- but Voctave is in a class all by themselves. The members are each remarkable, trained professional singers ... but their greatest advantage is the arrangements, which are ALL written by Jamey Ray who is the tenor in the middle of the back row. He writes the arrangements specifically for each of his singers to showcase each member's unique talents and range. He also put the group together. All of the members are current or former members of the Voices of Liberty at Epcot Center in Disney World, so yes, they each convey an energy that is genuinely positive, wholesome and inclusive. In fact, they're best known for their Disney music -- so check those videos out. The group has a span of over 5 octaves, which is where I think the name came from ... "V" as the Roman numeral for 5 and the word "octave". I would suggest the "Disney Princess Medley" to hear each of the women's solos and "You Will Be Found" to hear the men.

If you want to know how Voctave got its name, watch Voctave's RUclips Live session from around 2018, along with Jamey Ray's interview with Mark Lowry. Jeremy Michael Lewis pitched the name to Jamey after rejecting Jamey's original idea (8va). It had nothing to do with 5 octaves.

Best reaction I’ve seen on here in years!! Yes there are alligators and crocodiles in Florida. The office reference is golden! I’ve followed voctave for many years. Welcome to the club! You’ll enjoy the ride!

EJ Cardona is the soloist in this video. He's also guested with Voice Play. His brother, Omar, FREQUENTLY sings with Voice Play. I think there's also another talented brother, but I'm not sure.

A rare crocodile, the Cayman crocodile live at the southern islands and swanps of the Florida Keys island chain. Then alligators can be found everywhere, as well the southern swamps of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas !😊👍

A suggestion for the amazing 73 yr. old Darlene Love, getting on top of the piano to sing her great Christmas song entitled "Darlene Love's spectacular final Christmas performance for The Late Show with David Letterman" at ruclips.net/video/tsU08y9peZg/видео.html. Do not stop when it seems like the end because there's a bit more singing after Letterman says goodnight. Her power is almost earth shattering. Thanks.

All current and former Disney People, i mean ...how much approval you can get as a professional vocalist?
