Hi Jason. Your video presentations are great. They're really inspiring me to get a van myself as opposed to a troopy. Much more room and comfort for an older bloke. I've been working my way through your earlier videos, featuring the setting up of your van and they're very helpful. Thanks for the good fun time and informative videos. Sean.
As a teenager I used to catch a train to Cowan station and walk through the bush down to Jerusalem Bay, blow up a little boat a go fishing. Fished all around Bobin Head, Coal and Candle Creek...nice video...bringing back childhood adventures
The more I watch the more I want to put my practice onto telehealth and get a van and live life ... inspirational, truly. Thanks for sharing. PS. Have you used any of the 'vanlife' type apps that list safe places to stay, esp around cities etc?
Living life is the key! That's what drove me to do this despite not being in an overly strong financial position, but making it work. If you can work remotely, then that would be a win win. I've tried some of the camping apps but not found them very helpful. I probably need to look for some new ones...
Exploring the water ways around these & the areas beyond would be an interesting addition to yr vlogs. A Porta-Boat is a perfect fit, can be folded & mounted onto the roof, is very light yet strong & can plane very easily with one person with a 50-lb electric or small petrol motor. There's one on gumtree for 2k now @Kilaben Bay, NSW. That downhill track was awesome, never knew it existed, will have to visit one day.
What a find that last waterfall was! I lived around the Northern Beaches during the 80s. This has brought back some memories...McCarrs Creek, Church Point, Mona Vale Rd! and yes The Tip haha. Making me want to re-visit, though I usually scoot around Sydney at all costs these days. The videos are really entertaining, as some else said, it's not just vanlife.
You probably already know but the other boat ramp that you mentioned which you did not go to is still ok for overnight stays... i was there on Tuesday and there were probably 25 odd people set up staying over night, Yes no doubt a matter of time before it all changes. Be carefull on those jumps
Thanks for the tip off! I drove through there today and noticed several vans that I saw there last time. I think locals store their vans there when they're not using as locals get a parking exemption. I would say that other people see those vans then figure it's all ok 😂 I'll probably stay there again at some point anyway 😁
McCarrs Creek, one of my favourite places 😊 Shame they’ve stopped the overnighting , but it was starting to get a bit out of hand. Last summer there was people actually living in the car park area , so I’m not surprised. Love paddle boarding that area, but have never seen the waterfall, what a great find , amazing. Not sure I’d be able to get down that rope though, lol
There were 4 vans at McCarrs creek this morning 😂 could have just arrived early I guess... It's certainly a beautiful spot to be on the water in the mornings. 😊
I'm getting about 10.5l/100km but that is with a lot of short trips. Running Melbourne to Sydney, I was down around 9.0l/100km. I'm pretty happy with that for such a big van.
A very valid point! At the moment, since the channel is very small, I'm trying to build up a video base. I'm watching the numbers very closely and still seem to be getting good views and subscriber counts, but I know that won't last. Not sure how I would handle one video per week....just so much going on! 😂
@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces if you look at van city vanlife he was making videos everyday for years until recently and the only reason he doesn't so them everyday is cause he doesn't have the time and his channel is big
Thanks for sharing the mtb track. #inspired 🚲
Download trailforks if your interested in finding MTB trails. There's heaps!
Your hobbies make this channel more than just van life, its makes this channel very entertaining to watch, keep it up.
That's great, thanks for the feedback. Really happy you like it 😊
Thanks for sharing - fabulous content, thanks! Subscribed!
Thanks for joining me! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Sean, great that you find them helpful. You potentially lose a little flexibility without 4WD, but the comfort more than makes up for it!
Beautiful waterfalls
They're amazing, but wait for the next video!😁
More beautiful views , thank you , these vids brighten my day , I am going through it right now , so thank you
Thank you very much! That was another day that turned out way better than I'd hoped! 😁

That sounds like the perfect way to spend your time! I need to go for a paddle down Bobbin Head. Nice down there 😊
🙌🏻👏🏻 for making it down the rope and base of the waterfall!
It was well worth the climb!😁
13:18 Fantastic tree! 👍🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
They're beautiful. The whole park is full of them, but I think that's the biggest 😁
I never knew about Bare Creek MTB Park but it looks awesome and fun. I'll have to try it out. Another successful exploratory hike. 👍
Certainly found some amazing spots on that day...but wait until the next video!😂
Bare Creek is awesome. Definitely worth a lot of visits.

That could be fun. Unfortunately I have a roof covered with solar panels so it might need to be paddle power for a bit longer 😊
I think you need more insulation in the van, especially this week 🥶
Yeah, that's why I'm staying mostly near the coast...not as cold overnight!😁

Thanks Pauline! It's kind of interesting to revisit your old neighbourhoods every now and then.
Glad you enjoy the videos! 😊

If your down south try Narooma and mogo comes online fully in august , really good trail
I definitely want to ride the south coast in the warmer months. Love Narooma as a town, so keen to ride there as well.

Is it that obvious 😂😂
How's the overall fuel economy for your van?

You need to hold off on posting videos too close together. It messes with your algorithm. That’s why channels upload once a week 😊👍🏽

Actually there's a few channels blowing up pretty quickly by posting everyday so its still up in the air as to whether it messes with the algorithm.
I'll ride it while it lasts. More so, I like to make these videos for myself to look at too. Really don't want to miss anything 😊
