Thanks a lot for reviewing our board! This is the most witty review till date 😂 Too bad you weren't able to experience/notice the difference in-game. It's the de-activation with Rapid trigger that makes a difference in movement games.
Yooo! Thanks so much for sending it out, honestly you guys knocked it out of the park tbh, build quality and performance are top tier! Don't mind me not feeling the competitive difference, I'm old and slow and barely still find the WASD most of the time... For the competitive minded player with the skills to match, this board will be so clutch! Woo-Ting Clan still on top! 🫡
Rapid trigger is 100% the best feature of this board by far. Make sure to set it on continuous and on 0.1 (higher numbers are less noticable). Going between this and a mode where rapid trigger is disabled is a massive difference in the amount of control you can have in your movement
Yeah I was told to so some movement cancelling tests to see the impact as you feel a motion delay on normal keyboards after getting used to it, but I guess I didn't want to specifically test to prove something if I couldn't get feel it in general gameplay. I think the type of games I play don't help either, overwatch 2 movement precision is far less critical than Val or CS too
I think Ali plays at a higher skill level, or at least has more mechanical awareness/skill than your average gamer, at least more than me tbh... From the aimlab clips he's shared the guys a sleeper beast 🫡
The Rapid Trigger feature instantly releasing the key press was definitely the most noticeable thing to me and made it feel a lot different when ADAD'ing. Coming from a Ducky Mini with Cherry MX Speed Silvers (1.0mm actuation point).
Yeah I've heard it was most noticeable on movement cancelling rather than increasing strafe directional speed... I can kinda see the impact when I specifically test for it, but as I didn't notice the impact In game without having to look for it, I wasn't as blown away as others appear to have been sadly. It's all subjective though, if your game requires a ton of quick and precise movements then it's going to be much more impactful ofc
Proud owner of a wooting Keyboard here, those guya rock, so do you with your funny approach to reviewing gaming stuff! Keep up with the good work! Looking forward to know your opinion/review on the newest Hsk fingertip gaming mice! Cheers ! :)
Thank you Nuno! I'll keep trying to entertain and inform where I can! Glad you like the Wooting, there's honestly not much negative to say about it, just wanted to make sure folks don't expect to buy it and suddenly they're a Valorant immortal player 😬
Thank you! I really did like the board, I just wish I could get more of the potential out of it but curse my stupid fingers and their lack of ability 🤣
I didnt realize you could change the case on the apex pro mini and i also didnt know you could use that case on that wooting! I always wanted to use that case in green with another keyboard. I'll definitely use it on a wooting when i do get it. great vid
Yeah just avoid the Apex Pro Mini wireless unless you find a case without enough cavity to house the battery (or are happy to mod the case to accomodate)... Though you can always just unplug the battery and use it wired anyway. Glad you enjoyed it and happy to be of service 🫡
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews Would the apex pro mini wired be a straightforward install into one of the arris cases like you have on the wooting in this video? I already have 2 builds in the arris cases and use arctis pros so Im stuck with SS driver ecosystem. I can cannibalize from my existing stockpile and at just over $100 for the apex pro mini I can get a rapidtrigger setup with custom keycaps I already own and that sounds very very enticing... That is, if the case works...
just have to add as a owner of 60he it really depense on a game and on an actual player. For example in game like csgo rapid triger and actuation points and double movement made for me day and night difference. 60he its really a PRO tool and not everybody is able to use it on 100%. In CSGO is something called long jump where i was strugleing to do 240 points of lenght with my classic keyboard the day i bought 60he i am able to jump 260points of lenght continuously. For me it ment jumping like a year of day to day training for couple hours :D For a casual person it does not mean much but for entusiast its huge difference. Good review :)
I really value insight from high skill players like yourself, thank you! I could only really comment from my own skill level and experience, where it didn't really have a massive material difference if I'm honest... I just wanted to try to give an honest breakdown, inform and make people laugh along the way 🤣
Somehow this is the least glowing review I've seen for the 60he, and yet it's still an endorsement. Still patiently waiting for my batch to hit production.
Ayyy! Lack of user skill isn't a reason to knock a great product lol 🤣 It's still likely just as great as others have said, I just personally didn't feel the night and day difference as your average gamer 🙏
can you make a video of how you did the apex pro mini mod? ive been looking around and your board looks the best and i would love to get the same. im sure many people would love to see it too
I don’t notice tachyon mode but I do notice rapid trigger. I would argue it helps about 4 -15% depending on how important movement is in the game your playing
Nice review as always, it feels like this keyboard it takes time to get used to. Will you do a follow up video once you get more familiar to this keyboard?
I hadn't thought about it but as it's my main now it makes total sense to revisit maybe 1-2 months in and see if I feel the impact over time... Thank you for the content idea though, i appreciate it! 🫡
Awesome review love the build. Question you mentioned you used neoprene sheets with the mod. Would you be willing to share which ones you used ? I am going for a similar sound when I mod mine. Again great review and amazing production quality.
It would be awesome to see how you modded the steel series. I'm currently trying to mod mine but I am not sure how you were able to desolder the LEDs and were able to keep the pcb, plate and switches together in one piece. The cherry profile gmks I've got don't seem to be compatible due to the 4 pin led being so tall so I'm a bit confused on what to do. I could either desolder the 4 pin leds and find a way to secure the switches to the pcb/plate or sand down the led to fix the interference but I would like to know what you've done. I've ordered a carbon fiber plate with plate mount stab cutouts. Do you think it would be possible to plate swap?
I modded the Apex pro TKL 2023, which is basically the same. I didn't swap the case, but I removed the switches, lubed them, filmed them and made a tape mod and damping foam. The apex pro mini uses omnipoint switches, which are hall effect sensor activated, you can't randomly put any other switches on it. You can't remove the switches without de soldering the LED, the switch has 4 little holes where the 4 led legs pass through and locks the switch in place (I know, I tried to see if breaking the top housing of the switch will release it from the LED, but that was futile because soon I realized that is not possible). Once you carefully (and I mean it, really carefully) de solder all the RBG leds from the pcb you can extract the omnipoint switches as any normal hot swapable switch because they aren't soldered to the PCB, but in the case of the TKL version, some swithces are normal red switches and those have to be de soldered first. Once you finish modding the swithces, you put everything back in place and luckily you didn't break any electronics from the PCB. As I sayed, I didn't swap the case, so I cannot offer any piece of advise in that regard.
How was case swapping the Apex Pro Mini PCB to the Tofu60? I'm planning to do the same with my Apex Pro Mini so I'd like to know if there were any troubles you encountered. Fantastic review!
Oh shit son! Blessed by the Atlanta Anaconda... What a rare and beautiful appearance. Beastly, you'll always be my brother, I miss you and the boys, we need to chat again 🥲
I didn't desolder each, just push lubed them with a light coat of krytox, if you overlube an omnipoint, you can mess with registration and get double-strokes
I think you cannot see these benefits in game if you play overwatch, as movement is not as cruitial to gunplay like apex legends, valorant or csgo. In cs, I see a huge difference in how counter strafing works.
Yeah I think this is probably a bigger factor alongside user skill tbh, I'd originally had a few lines about it but lost them in the edit for pacing but kind of wishing I'd kept them back in... I'm sure for the tac shooter crowd, the features are far higher value 🙏🫡
Thank you my man 🤜 appreciate you checking it out, even though you're probably quietly laughing at my inability to be halfway decent with literally every possible advantage on my desk 🤣
I believe that is just a high polling rate like the Razer 8000hz boards, the benefit of the wooting isn't just the poll rate but the actuation point and rapid trigger feature that will improve response times significantly
I think there's been reported issues on the 0.1mm actuation with 0.1mm rapid fire where the weight of a keycap can put it in a trigger state, but outside of that not heard much else wrong with it, least as a mass complaint
Thanks a lot for reviewing our board! This is the most witty review till date 😂

Was it difficult to case swap the apex pro mini? Did you have to de-solder at all to do the stabs and case swap?
