Thank you so much for this video!! I've been using Gina's products for a couple of years now and they're FANTASTIC but I was a little skeptical about the foil mates because it didn't seem like you'd get enough sheets. Your video showed exactly whats included so I won't feel bad when I buy these. Thank you so much again! Lovely cards too!!
I thought for a while I did not have to pick up the supplies to foil, one trend that will pass me by and save me some money. Yeah, that's not happening this time. Thankfully I have a laminator! Fantasic card, thanks for sharing.
Great video! I am hooked on foil too. Between the GinaK and the go foilnpress I am stuck in foiling heaven. You gave me some new ideas, and thank you for that! Your results are beautiful!
So pretty! I've yet to dive into the pool of foiling. I'm afraid to swim because I have so much stuff to use, but you're tempting me!. Oh and bless you for scoring a card based 1-at-a-time as needed for each card. I'm not that patient. I sat in front of the TV one night and cut and scored an entire ream. Talk about watching paint dry, but I'm grateful every time I go to a box and pull out a pre-scored base. :)
Perfect, cheerful and sunny colors! I know you were inspired by Gina and Rina’s video😁. I need to buy more backgrounds; I have lots of sentiments. Thanks for this great color combo, I love it. (And all your cards! 😍)
Love this, and need to try the shim trick, as I’ve had patchy results. Do you use the 5ml or 3ml setting on your laminator? I have the same one, but am not sure which to use. Thanks...thumbs way up!
I just took class with CraftFancy in Foil got to meet GinaK.. Gina was demoing her wreath builder...but stop by our class to talk about Foil mates.. the teacher in class said 3ml should be highest otherwise will melt Foil ..
Hi can you please tell me what “shim”/“shimming” is exactly?? I’ve never heard of that before but I am having a hard time foiling & I found your video bc I also just received the foil mates...I’d love to do this correctly for once & if this shimming is what I’m missing then I’d love to know what it is lol thank you!
julie g with the jellybean junction no, but they do need to be dye inks, I believe, as opposed to pigment based. But I will say Gina’s inks are my favorite dye Inks.
Cool effect! I generally don't like orange, but this is gorgeous! :) I am always a little on the fence about foiling - so beautiful, but oh plastic... I think crafting should become more environmentally-friendly, don't you think? I would definitely support companies who made more of an effort in that department :) Anyhoo, enough rambling - love your card and the video! :D
Wholly agree. I told my husband that all the packaging really adds up in our recycling bin. I've pretty much got all that I need for a long while, so I personally will cutting down on our footprint. There really does have to be a better way than using all that acetate and cardboard. I can sorta see being needed if sold in a retail store (which I do not have for, oh, 300 miles and order it all online) but for shipping items, surely they could cut down on the packaging. It really isn't needed.
Ha! No vacation for me. I am working on a new e-course that is launching this week! After that, I'll be back to making card videos! Thanks for watching, Cindy!
Totally understand! I'm going to share a link with you from a Jennifer McGuire video that shows things you can do with foil that do NOT require a laminator! Check this video out: ruclips.net/video/7rbG0VsmtvM/видео.html
I don't even know if you have to! I really do think it's depending on your laminator, the humidity where you live, all kinds of things! I just run it twice for best results.
Typed my comment in a rush (just as guest were arriving) and was unclear. What surprised me was that you did the stars in one pass and the text in another pass. Whenever I’ve seen people do multiple colors, they positioned the foil, mosaic-fashion, and did all the foiling at once. Your way is much simpler! I would have assumed the toner would melt or be rendered ineffective if you ran it through the laminator without foil.
Fantastic card and I love the other card too! This video was perfect and I love the shine! Shine bright my friend!💛 ⭐️ 😊
Oh this is an oldie but goodie!

ericastwilight you can definitely dabble and see what you think without spending a ton!
What a fun card. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
Haven't tried foiling yet. Sure is pretty. I like bright, shiny objects! 💖💖💖🌹🤓
You should!
Beautiful mixture of colors. I am going to have to try this. You are so enjoyable to watch!
Thanks for watching, Marti!

I never think to pre-score card bases! Good idea!
Thanks, I love watching your videos. I have learned a lot.

Hey Jenna, well you know what? I have NO idea. I've never changed anything. I'm going to have to go look!
Thank you! I so enjoy your videos!
I just took class with CraftFancy in Foil got to meet GinaK.. Gina was demoing her wreath builder...but stop by our class to talk about Foil mates.. the teacher in class said 3ml should be highest otherwise will melt Foil ..
Jennie G thank you so much! I will try that.
Can you use regular baking parchment to make the folder?
Indeed you can! I have used my roll of parchment from costco to make carrier folders!
Shiny is good, love both cards!
Thanks so much!

HurricaneKitty67 it’s just adding in more paper to increase the pressure on the foil. If you are not getting great transfer it’s worth trying!!
Beautiful yet fairly simple. 😍
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
I was surprised to see that paint didn’t interfere with the toner! How is that possible?
It doesn't! It surprised me too!
Beautiful! I ❤️ foiling!
Both cards are fab!
Thanks so much!
I do like what I saw. Great cards!
Can you use any ink for does it have to be Gina K?
julie g with the jellybean junction no, but they do need to be dye inks, I believe, as opposed to pigment based. But I will say Gina’s inks are my favorite dye Inks.
How do you use them with a spellbinder glimmer machine.
I am not 100% sure!

Miss hearing from you. Guess you took a vacation. Hope you had fun.

I love all that foil!
Cute thought about doing this but can't afford a laminater right now

I’d like to see you do the transfer gel.
I need to try that stuff! I have it! I just haven't done anything!
la carte orange
Sierra0209 same reason! 😊
I did not know you could do the foiling in two separate passes! Mind blown. LOL
I don't even know if you have to! I really do think it's depending on your laminator, the humidity where you live, all kinds of things! I just run it twice for best results.

P.S. Love love love that sweet mango! Going to include it in my next order, now that I have discovered the Joy of Foiling. 😁
WellI have seen video where Gina K runs both foils through together, too! :)
So very pretty
Pretty!
So pretty
LOVED IT!!!!! Thank you
