I Can't believe you sold the mustang but honestly it is a nice truck and I'm not even a truck guy but I do appreciate the classics,
If it was my vehicle I would like to tidy up like repaint the whole engine bay and just make a fantastic driver, but I personally would not lift it or do modifications that can't be reveresed cause what you like may not be every ones cup of tea

Well it's got a problem that you won't be able to fix, and it starts with an F😉. That metal bracket looks like it's for the spare tire that would go under the bed.
