If Gregg isn't out by the 2026 World Cup US soccer just needs to pull out and let Canada and Mexico host themselves because apparently we don't give a fuck about the sport or having success.
What sticks out to me about these past few USMNT performances is that the players look uncomfortable and frustrated and the plays look unnatural and forced, if that makes sense. I feel your pain Zealand. Yet, based on what you said you might have a bigger problem than Berhalter. The situation reminds of the situation at Manchester United where everything sucks from top to bottom. The owners are cheapskates only interested in making money, the directors are incompetent and no one takes them seriously, the stadium has fallen in disrepair, the fans are revolting and not supporting the team, the player squad is out of balance and not performing as they should. In such a case, just kicking out the manager has a very small chance of actually changing something. From what you've said, the entire structure of American "soccer" needs to be revolutionised and in such a case you need to start at the top. You need a national bond capable of expanding the sport commercially, remove the thresholds for more people start playing, find some actually good officials and set up an academy structure that can compete with all other big sports. In the meantime, you need to wrestle control back from the squad, sell them a vision on how the national team should play and conduct itself and what their role in that plan should be. They need to find someone with actual expertise that can lay out a plan for at least 4 years. All while avoiding businesses or shareholders to suck up the resources for themselves. It will all start with hiring the right people at the top.
they all know this, from top to bottom. The problem is that - like everywhere else on the planet - the money loving scums at the top of the pyramids have become even more money loving and even more cynical and they won't give up their positions or wealth for anything, ever! We see this across the globe with all wealthy people, especially in these dire times when the wealth is being polarized into even less hands while the middle classes of people the world over are turning into lower classes even more. The (financial) system that's our society is based on needs to fall (and is already collapsing),. but a result of this collapse is the fact that the egotistical, non-empathic pieces of sh*t at the top of society become even more greedy, more egotistical, and downright evil, which is why they refuse to care about anything else but their own wealth and power...

Did the USSF want to hire a coach or did they want to hire a Team Buddy? Because it sounds like they want the latter and they don't care about the former.
they wanted to hire an easy to control yesman, regardless of whether their puppet was a coach or a team buddy. The scums at the top of the USSF pyramid are either too egotistical and don't want to give up their power, control and wealth to anyone else, or - most likely - the obscenely wealthy oligarchs that own the sports in USA don't want football (the real football, not the abomination that americans call football) to take over the other sports because this means that the oligarchs lose money and power. So, the failure of football catching onto the american public is the sweetest deal for the owners of the other sports, which is why they've probably infiltrated USSF with their own men (that proactively "work" towards keeping football in a bad status quo at worst, or fully destroy it at best) and which is why they prefer a weak cuck like GGG that they can manipulate and who guarantees them failure after failure to the point that the fans hopefully give up caring about this sport and instead turn their attention back to the other sports, putting money into the pockets of the aforementioned oligarchs (that own the other sports). USA is a cartel and a (neo-phascist) concept, it's not a real country and the sooner you, americans, see and understand this, the faster you'll be able to get rid of it (if you want to that is)... Until then... well... you'll keep suffering while making the oligarchs richer :)

Fun fact the ref has been investigated/is being investigated for matching fixing between an Argentina team and a Bolivian team when he received jerseys before a game and gave a controversial penalty to that team to win the game. How is he qualified to be in a tournament of this level with that on his record?
@@thechosenone1425 that’s the game, completely forgot which game. I’m not saying he was “bought” though I can see how that sounded. More like, as far as I read the investigation wasn’t finished, as well as in general he’s career is “tainted” with it. Europe has not allowed referees in tournaments for less. The thing he did the 1-1 thing surprises me, i believe in a game situation like that you want them to win and you don't tell them the score. McDermott for the Buffalo Bills prevented the Dolphins-Ravens game score being shown in the bills stadium because it was a crucial division game to force the players to just focus on winning, thats what he should have done
I need this video to have enough likes that USSF can't ignore it. As for the Pulisic/ref handshake thing, I get it. As Pulisic is walking over to shake hands, he yells at the refs that they should join Uruguay in their celebrations. If a player insulted me in that way, I'd probably refuse to shake his hand as well.
The moment the players choose the coach because they get along well with him, they feel comfortable and within a comfort zone under his leadership... that's when you should realize that you screwed up. It's a professional sport, not a friends club. Those who have tried this idea have failed (a good example was Argentina in the 2018 World Cup).
There was a point in the second half after they subbed in Haji and Pepi where there were 3 people up front, a midfield and wing back out on each flank, and Pulisic had the ball with the 2 center backs so there was not a single soul in the middle of the pitch directly in front of Uruguay’s box to midfield like a big donut. What type of tactic is that? That’s either abysmal coaching or players shying away which is still on the coaching staff similar to what Carli Lloyd said.
The ref didn't shake pulisic's hand because pulisic was telling the ref to go celebrate with the Uruguay group right before he attempted to shake the refs hand
Just in, Zealand on Berhalter: "I don't hate you, John. I don't even dislike you. I like you a hell of a lot more than I like most people in the back. I hate... this idea... that you're the best... because you're not. I'm the best. I'm the best in the world."
US soccer, have ambition! American athletes in other sports don't just want to show up, they WANT TO WIN. Look at Connor McDavid (Canadian, yes, but it's the only other sport I follow) in the Stanley Cup Final. He got his team all the way to an improbable comeback and narrowly last in the last game. He was heartbroken because he said at the beginning of the season that it was cup or bust. That's a good athlete. US Soccer and its players are not showing that they want to win, that they would consider anything less to be a failure. They're just talking about showing up and "testing themselves" against the world's best, not about actually beating them. Zealand said it, but that's loser mentality. They're not being coached to have that fire to use or exceed their talents and win. Uruguay are theoretically a better team but that match was winnable. Panama was winnable. Win, try to win, put your heart out on the pitch, do it for your country. Only then will US soccer players and their team be taken seriously.
While I appreciate the intent behind what you're saying, McDavid is the best player in the world, someone who can drag his team to wins single-handedly. The US has nobody in his stratosphere from a skill, mental, or physical standpoint. Though they have a decent roster, they can't rely on a Messi, Ronaldo, or Mbappe to carry them. They have to do it as a team, and that's where having a bad coach really hurts.
@@emanueldelacruz1101History does not apply on a match by match basis (if it did, Manchester United would not have lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace this last season), and good teams don't melt under pressure to theoretically superior teams. Recently in the Euros there was a similar situation with Georgia who were fighting for their lives with no guarantee of advancing even with a win and Portugal who didn't really care about the outcome of the match, and Georgia beat Portugal 2-0 with a coherent counter-attacking strategy with an impenetrable defense. That's how you can shut down more talented teams and eek out needed victories, and a good manager and properly drilled players could certainly (if not easily) have beaten Uruguay in that match (which was only 1-0 with a certainly defendable goal being the only deciding factor).
Did you see the match live? Did you watch that specific play? Did you see the official CONMEBOL video and audio footage? Even so, 0 - 0 would do nothing for USA. Same outcome.
@@Jaco059 If you really watched the conmebol official footage youll see its on. Goal or not USA would be in the same situation thus being sent out on group stage. Zealand femboy arc is starting with this new setup
That Iceland video Zealand, well life comes at you fast.
To be fair to the ref, if a player came up to me postgame and told him to go celebrate with the other team, I wouldn’t expect him to shake his hand.

Not only should gregg berhalter be fired, but so should everyone who was involved in rehiring him. That said, in Matt turner's defense, it would create a very awkward situation when ussf inevitably says Berhalter is still their man if he had said anything else.

Fun fact the ref has been investigated/is being investigated for matching fixing between an Argentina team and a Bolivian team when he received jerseys before a game and gave a controversial penalty to that team to win the game. Orchestrated by the US, no less

Oh Nymn and Yabbe are awesome, looking forward to some collabs!
The moment the players choose the coach because they get along well with him, they feel comfortable and within a comfort zone under his leadership... that's when you should realize that you screwed up. It's a professional sport, not a friends club. Those who have tried this idea have failed (a good example was Argentina in the 2018 World Cup).
This is Zealand’s TrueGeordie Newcastle rant moment. I am here for it.
As a south american, when i heard you saying that the usa was the 3rd best team in america i already knew all of this was going to happen lol
Told you the USMNT is nowhere close to Uruguay or Colombia
jesus that sound quality legit scared me bro
The ref didn't shake pulisic's hand because pulisic was telling the ref to go celebrate with the Uruguay group right before he attempted to shake the refs hand

Uruguay is a world cup winner. Think again
