It depends bro, we have a lot complex gattai which make us only play with them a few times and put it on the shelve for years. I acutally really like this design, very simple, high replay value, and creative. Also they seem not easy to be broken like goraijin.
I kinda like the way you tried incorporating the extra parts into Wild Tousai Dodeka King. I interpret them as some sort of cape for the mecha. Now, if only Bandai/Toei had figured out that as well and made them properly connect…

Kids like Minecraft because it is intricate, yet has simple rules, which makes it easy to hop in and just be creative. It's why LEGO has managed to stick around as long as it has. It's not due to a specific aesthetic; it's because of a carefully curated system that created a near infinite web of possibility. Trying to take the aesthetic with zero of the complexity is just... Dumb. Only toddlers that can't count would find these fun.

I never knew about this branch of power rangers, but this viddo has introduced me to something new that I like and enjoy. The zords are pretty cool. Mystery Octopus is cool, too They may be simple, but it would be entertaining for a kid or at least for me when I was younger. Number 4: Mastadon/Elephant was one of my favorites along with Number 1:Falcon
@DraeonKaiser Nah. The Pirates put too much stock into the dial gimmick and had to go into "big dumb mechanized hunk of plastic" frequently. Samurai at least TRIED to make everything an actual part of the main Megazord.

1号ロボの頭に刺さってたビッグキングソードはその後の合体では余剰になってくんだろなぁ、と思ってたらワイルドトウサイキングでまさかのメイン武器採用は当時驚いたな。
ミニプラでそこまでは集めてたし、今も棚にいるわ。
