If you could safely ask for help and cannot stand up for yourself, please do so. I’ve been in a similar relationship with a loved one before, I actually tolerated it because I thought his feelings were valid. They were, but I did not deserve to get hurt. Just speak up, stand up, and please ask for someone’s help. Don’t tolerate this please.

The 911 operator not knowing the code for when someone calls and orders a pizza irritated my soul so badly! As someone who’s had to call the police on multiple occasions for domestic violence and sexual abuse, it’s really frustrating to me for majority of dispatch to sound so uncaring in their responses.
I like the part when they apologize and then keep doing it.
this guy has pathological jealousy and abuses his partner physically, mentally and emotionally. they have the tendency to love bomb the victim right after the abuse. and then the victim thinks it is love and the cycle repeats.

He says I'm not aloud to leave the house with out him and aby of of my friends who I try to leave with he starts drama and nobody want to be apart of couple fights so people just back off then now I'm isolated and have mo one he try to makes where I depend on him it's the classic text book like I'm a smart girl it happens slowly then ubfind ur self kidding in the bathroom wi th door lock then if I do anything like bike ride or go for a walk he follows me he makes sure I'm in his eye sight at all times when I try to get away he just follows me I'm like this is harresement he like what I'm just walking he mentally drains me I feel like a prisoner he won't work he says he doesn't trust me SMH when my sister came down and we went to the pool I had to have where he can see me from the window . But he can go do whatever by the time I do get space from him I take advantage so I can breathe .....indont have a car I live in the county even when I have gotten bikes hebmakes sure my tire is flat or somthing is wrong ......he called me a slut and a whore in front of my son in a hotel lobby just because I didn't get up to talk to him that was his justly when we fight he will hit himself and tell me. If I call the police he say I do drugs n I hit him and I have one assault charge but I was defending My self .. I can't be on my phone privately I can't take my phone in the bathroom with me like as I'm writing this I'm like omg then I try to kick him out of my house he like nope ungot to give me 30 days then I'll leave then I'll just squat ..
He will hit me in the month and busy my lip and said I do that to my self I need to quit with the theater stuff lord omg this bad . Indont realized how bad it is he even took all the door off in the house he goes through my phone consistently when im.asleep he gets angry if I go lay with my son ...

The 911 lady needs to read up on codes. When somebody calls 911 and orders a pizza that's code for "im in trouble and I cant tell you about it because the abuser is in the room" ESPECIALLY if they order pepperoni.

I had to call the police multiple times in the last weeks of our lockdown. They just told me to go back home with my ex husband who was abusing me while I was 5 months pregnant.
2 years since I left him with ny 7 children and started to build a new life.
The abuse hasn't ended, his need for control still exist and his desire to destroy my life stronger than ever.
So many people have no idea how hard it is to admit being abused, to leave, etc not every woman has options, a place to go, money, the law can be a hindrance like in my case.
We need to spread awareness

The problem isn't spreading awareness because let's face it, women and men both know abuse of any kind is UNACCEPTABLE and wrong!
The solution is teaching men and women about self love, self respect, having boundaries, knowing who you are what you want and don't want. If you love yourself you're not going to let someone abusive you the first time! You'll walk away. The first red flag has to be the last. Self love self love and self love. I taught myself this growing up watching this mess.

This got me in tears lockdown is suck my father is abuser and guess what me and my Mother still live with him whenever I try to explain to him how he abused me mentally and emotionally but he says he never beat me never slap me but idk how to explain abused domestic violence doesn't means just beating yeah he beats up my mom till death idk am still in pain I scared so much no one is out there to help us. 3 months is okay now but last month he shouted and gets angry without no reason he's crazy mad he needs to go mental hospital.
I can't do anything other than wishing you and your mother safe and that you two will find a way out, do you still have to do school or college?

i'm also probably a similar age as you, and i've been abused too. my father physically abused me since i was 5 up until last year. he always emotionally and mentally abuses me. my mom has emotionally and mentally abused me too, but not to the extent my father has. it's hard to get through each day without feeling unnecessary shame and embarrassment for going through this, but we'll make it out someday.
i can't imagine how hard it must have been to film this for both parties i applaued them
Yeah, the lock down added a huge amount of stress to everyone. Made violent people 100x more violent... made already bad situations extremely bad. I mean, how do you get away in a situation where you can't leave your house and your abuser is there 24/7/365 with you for so long? You can't. And you're on your own, no friends or family really. Women that are abuse victims are actually very smart, they've had to be in order to survive. I had many years in situations like that, myself. But I could never imagine having to endure it doing during the lock down. AND... the police do their job... very well. Asking to defund the officers is a kick in the teeth to every domestic violence survivor. I am not trying to make it political... it's just that's a fact. It's the courts that fail us. I think every woman should have firearms training ... and possibly at least one other alternative method of self defense. I'm not saying there should be a fire arm in the house... but you should know how to use one. Always keep your phone charged and on you. Supply free emergency phone for those women at high risk. Keep a "bug out" bag ready so you can leave quickly and have the things you need. Arrange for alternate places to stay before you need them. Talk to someone you trust who would have your back. Make them aware of your situation. I could say a lot more... sorry... I got off track a bit.
Actually you shouldn't do any of that and just leave the relationship all together. It's bad having to live in constant paranoia.
Although a bag with useful supplies could have made a lot of nights better for me that I had to spend in the rain outside. But I didn't have enough money or things to put such a thing together.

"Just leave the relationship all together"... well yeah... but it's not easy to do that with someone constantly hanging over you 24/7. You think they just let you walk out the door? That doesn't usually happen, sorry.
As far as a bag... it doesn't have to be fancy. Can be a garbage bag if it has to be. And it should consist of basic necessities to get you through a couple of days. Just a bit of everything you need on a daily basis to survive.
Defunding the police doesn’t mean inhibit the police’s protection to do their jobs, it means reallocate the resources to agencies and organizations designed to ennact more preventive measures to crime and abuse, like education, more equitable income etc and yes, support services.
It’s ignorant for you to disregard the plight of thousands of colored Americans by slandering the phrase, ESPECIALLY when you consider many many times the police CANNOT do anything in a domestic violence situation unless there was tangible evidence of assault or battery. Shame on you ma’am.

In the first lockdown in our state in Germany, there were posters everywhere about domestic violence and that victims could call a telephone number.
I have NOT experienced domestic violence, but it was more of a tension because I was afraid of getting Corona.
Then I read in videotext that there were several police operations in the capital of our state.
The city was 40 kilometers away and I broke down crying.
My husband had to get me out of the down several times. My husband, the Hero comforted me often and much.
He no longer saw a power woman in front of him but a sad bundle of nerves.
Not only the fear because of Corona but there were reports of domestic violence. I was overwhelmed with everything in the first lockdown between March 2020 and June 2020.
It was a hard time for many women, whether dealing with domestic violence or anxiety.
I have even written a diary about it and let it protect. Now urgently looking for a co-production.
