  • How to Crochet a Scarf Using the Waffle Stitch. You can make many things with the waffle stitch because of it's nice texture i.e. Pot Holder. Even though it looks super complicated, it's really simple once you learn the pattern. Take your time with it and be sure to check your work every so often to make sure you're maintaining the waffle stitch pattern.
    Pattern in today's video:
    -Ch 23
    -Put 1 dc in 3rd chain from the hook and then one dc into each of the remaining chain stitches (21 dc + initial ch2 = 22 stitches for the row).
    -Row 2: Turn work, ch 1, 1 dc in next stitch, * 1 fpdc (front-post double crochet) in next stitch, 1 dc in next 2 stitches, repeat from * until there are 2 stitches remaining. Place 1 fpdc into the second to last stitch and then 1 dc into the last stitch. By the way, that last "stitch" is a ch 2.
    -Row 3: Turn work, ch1, 1 dc into next stitch, * 1 dc into next stitch, 1 fpdc into next two stitches, repeat from * until there are 2 stitches remaining. Place 1 dc in final 2 stitches of row.
    Repeat Row 2 then Row 3 until your project has reached its desired length. Once that happens and you've crocheted your final stitch, ch 1, cut yarn, and fasten off.
    Weave yarn into project with a darning/weaving/tapestry needle.
    Even though the Atreyu Crochet channel is for beginners, I think it's not only a good idea but necessary to build upon the basics. The great thing about crocheting is that even the most complicated of patterns can still be broken down to the very basics of crocheting.
    Don't ever approach a crochet pattern with doubt. Simply break down the pattern and approach it one stitch at a time. If a stitch is foreign to you, then find a RUclips tutorial on it, learn the stitch, and resume with the pattern. Although our starting point is that of a beginner, it is also true that that is not our destination.
    Happy Crocheting! :)

      @AtreyuCrochet  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks. And yes, all you have to do is use the bpdc in every stitch instead of alternating. Good luck!👍🏾

    Could you use stitch markers at end of rows to remind you of what row your on, I was thinking of doing colour coded ones , ie pink row one ,yellow stich holder row two

    • @AtreyuCrochet

      Yes, just make sure the hook size is appropriate for the yarn size. The yarn should specify the hook size.

    Can you use any hook and yarn

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  3 года назад

      You might have to use more or fewer skeins depending on the yarn and hook size but yes you can.
