I have a food saver, and after a few years use it isn't working the way it used to. Was going to get another one until a friend recommended the VSV 20. Watched her demonstrate for me (I cook a lot of spaghetti sauces) and wow I was really impressed on how fast it was!! With the foodsaver I had to fill a bag, fold it, place it in the freezer overnight then seal it the following day. No more! Bought mine from Amazon today. Thank you for your video! :)
Just got my USV20. This is my first chamber vacuum though I have used them before in some of my classes. I am very excited to move up from the Food Saver, but it had served me well for many years. I am glad I stumbled onto your videos. Both videos concerning the USV 20 were very helpful. Thank you. P.S. I hope the accessory hose gets back in stock soon.

@@Avidarmor I had to return it because the right side of the seal bar came up slightly each time causing subsequent seals to fail. Had to press it back down after I saw what was happening and even then it didn't work most of the time, the bag blowing up so big I thought it would explode! You gave me the option to receive a out of box replacement or send mine back. I sent it back and it was received two weeks ago. Hope it gets repaired and sent back soon. My apologies. Your repair was already shipped back out to you. If you didn't receive a tracking number, please contact us via email and we can provide. :)
I have the USV 20 & have done lots of different things. I love it to do my beef stews & smoked rainbow trout white chili with. I also cook meals vacuum pack them & freeze them. Take them on the road since I am a OTR driver. Cut hole in top of bag & heat in micro wave. Have a nice meal better then truck stop food. Also for the others already sealed & frozen. Just throw it in boiling water for 10-20 minutes. Gonna be testing cooked hamburgers that I frozen this weekend.
These are so very useful. The 20 is our first chamber vacuum. Even as novice users, it has earned counter space. How do we receive schedule of live presentations so that we can ask questions? Thanks.

Just purchased the USV32 along with 500 of the 8x10 vacuum sealed bags. The machine is going to be used primarily for vacuum sealing fresh venison what do you recommend for vacuum time and seal time. The venison is moist and is the reason for the transition from a conventional food saver. Thanks in advance extremely excited to see how it works
It does now ;-) It was highly requested so we came out with an accessory hose adaptor to work with the USV32. Here's the link --> avidarmor.com/avid-armor-accessory-hose-adaptor-for-usv32-chamber-vacuum-sealer/
I know we have the canister to vacuum jars and etc but what if I wanted to marinate something bigger like ribs, pork lion can avoid armor create a pan some day I have the usvx mode
I have the USV20 for 8 months now and at first it vacuumed great. Now it's not vacuuming like it did at first. I also noticed the back right hing on the cover has to be pressed down to snap in place during vacuuming. I tried WD40 on the hing like tech support suggest but didn't fix it. What can I do ? Is the unit faulty where it should be returned? Also is the usv32 top more durable where you don't have the hing problem like I am having?
I have this model under a different brand name and there is a major flaw. Most of the bags crease when you vacuum down, pulling the bag and then it leaves gaps in the seal. I tried new filaments seals etc, it doesn't resolve the issue and the seller/distributer ignores it, even though it was returned under warranty, they didn't fix it.
Hey! Each of our machines is specifically designed by and for Avid Armor. So we can’t speak on behalf of your machine or the brand that makes it but It sounds like you may be filling your bag too full when vacuum sealing. I’d recommend to leave plenty of headspace in the bag and that should help with your problem!
I am in Canada and I found that there are ones for sale here. It says they are selling from your company. So if I buy from your Amazon store, am I still getting the warranty and everything that I would normally get with buying from your website? Is there any difference with buying from Amazon vs your website for a Canadian customer? Thanks
Depends on the mess 😂😂 normally just a wet paper towel or most less harsh cleaners are usually pretty good. Is it inside the machine or just in the chamber?
I'm having trouble getting proper seals on bags that I have to "hack" and use as a conventional vacuum sealer. 3 doesn't give me a solid seal while 4 seems to melt pinholes through, and distort the bag around the seal line. Any suggestions ?

@Avidarmor Might want to update the video. I just bought and received a USV32, and the external canister sealer hose came with it (canisters excluded). There's the port under the seal bar (the one with that yellow label that you can see in the video), that connect to the tubing to seal external cannisters...
My USV32 arrived a month ago. Since then I’ve had a lot of my bags lose their vac seal. I’m using Mylar bags, 7mm thick, and 40 secs of vacuum with 7 secs of seal. Any ideas why the seals are failing?
I use mine for that exclusively. Be sure you bags are true 7 mil, not 3.5 mill on each side. This was a popular market strategy with the bag sellers. Don't over fill. Use 9 second seal. No problems.
You can buy the hose and lid accessories on their Website, and it works with any size mason jar. No need to put it in the chamber. I have the USV20 for this reason. I would like to have a large chamber on the unit, but I seal a lot of items in the jars instead of the bags.
Of course! We also have a live dedicated to our USV32 on our channel as well. We’re also working on walkthrough videos that should be coming out in the next few weeks!
We usually recommend that our machines can do up to 7 mil mylar bags. Not saying that 8 mil isn't possible but it depends on the makeup of the bag and a little trial and error adjusting the seal time setting. You could always send us samples and we could test it for you. Cheers!

the fact that the larger, more expensive model has less features is a bit unacceptable.
