Once you try a back plate and wing you'll never go back; the harness will always fit you perfectly!
I have and like them but my old back needs a lot of padding now.

@@AlecPeirceScuba_SeaHunter You can buy padding for the back and the shoulder straps. I kinda like having padding when I am just wearing a rash guard. Once you wear some neoprene or even a dry suit, it becomes much less relevant to the point that I removed the padding, so it dries quicker and is a little easier to work with (padding covers up the screws/nuts for doubles or a P-weight).
Used a jacket once for my pool session and once I got a wing, I never looked back, (jackets, and dry suits, Do not get along well😅).
i dive both bpw and jacket and fine with either.
Alec, thank you for another direct, clearly articulated lesson on the fundamentals of safe scuba diving.
You are welcome and hope you got a laugh out of it also.

a good trial session is recommended when buying equipment that fits directly the body like a suit, palms, mask and related accessories
excellent teacher
excellent video
When I owned my dive store Scuba 2000, we had our own pool and would let divers try it on with gear. Sold a lot faster with less returns.

M. Pierce, you are still gooooooood!
Thank you. Glad you like my work.

FYI: I have a Cressi Leonardo computer. It's perfect for recreational diving. When I changed the battery, I lost the “numbers” it only showed lines, beeped, and backlight. I contacted Cressi, proved the purchase, and mailed it back to them ($9.60 USPS Priority) they repaired (reflashed the computer) and shipped it back free in less than 2 weeks. Great service from Cressi USA.
I am amazed that some folks get fast and caring service while other, don't. Sometimes from the same vendor. Glad you're still happy with it so keep on diving.

Plate & wing BCD...infinitely adjustable as the diver "grows" or shrinks
Divers can shrink? Never seen it happen.

Lololol I don't think I have to worry about MI e being too big. Lol. I been wanting to try out my old horse collar.. I had it for years in my closet and looks like brand new. It was always too nice for the places I worked so I kept it put up.
Wow an old collar in mint condition. Be careful if diving with it.

@AlecPeirceScuba_SeaHunter I don't want to get it dirty of wet... so I hung it up in my spare closet and every once in a while, I pull it out and think " maybe I will take it too the pool and play with it.." but I think it's never been wet and I still have the original CO2 cartridge on it. I did notice it has a very slow leak now.
I had it since 1988.
Thank you for the video, I’m ready to purchase my first BCD. One question I had is regarding ScubaPro’s options. They offer an Air2 that allows for your LPI to be used as the alternative air supply. It sounds great and eliminates an Octo. Why don’t I ever see these out there? Would you please share your thoughts on using an Octo vs Air2? Thx
Glad you like them. Watch this video to see my views on BC mounted safe seconds. Then decide for yourself which way to go. ruclips.net/video/-gECkfDm58g/видео.html

When you started diving, there were no BCDs and nobody complained about too big or too small😄
I started diving when May Wests were the only BC ! still today I rarely use my BCD unless I'm diving deeper than 30 feet ! I just use a plain tank backpack to hold my tank .
That's right, no BC, vest, nothing. If you watch my Vintage Scuba playlist you will see we used rocks to get down!

@@AlecPeirceScuba_SeaHunter ROCK on Alec !
Hello Alec. My shop rented me an Aqualung Pro HD in a Medium for the Pool. It was too loose in the waist. Then they rented me a Small for the OW Dives. Too tight in the chest. So the owner ordered me an Omni. Size Medium with a Small Waist. Fits me Perfectly!!! Only gripe is, Did not come with Trim Pockets. Which I found out at the Beltzville Lake Cleanup back in April. The shop sold me the modlock Trim pockets. I am anxiously waiting for the AOW class Aug 3 and 4. Do you think it's wrong that I am doing it for the woman who Inspired me to finally get Certified??
Having fun diving is being comfortable and safe. You're doing both and ensuring a perfect fit. Mix and match until you're happy then go diving.

That's a lot of nonsense when you can just get a backplate and wing.
Hi Alec. Kevin takes the brunt of your jokes, I hope he is a good sport. My mother used to call me Husky, I guess it sounded better than that fat little kid (ok I liked cake at an early age) what do you mean I have a 3xl vest Take care Owen m
Oh my good buddy Kevin can take and give a joke. He has edited some funny stuff out and left some in. He is the only one who can really make me pretty in a video!
