    Hi, I think that there is a problem at the practice question. It says 2 + 12+28+40 = 82 but when I counted it equals to 100

    We will add1 in total frequency and divide by 2 in all tables?right?

      Hi, yes, that is how you calculate the median. 😊

      Hi, why do we add the one? Will it be the same for all questions? Like for example the frequency in 20. Do I still add 1 and divide by 2?

      Hi Sreedadha,
      Yes we always add 1.
      This is how we find the middle number.
      For example:
      1 2 3
      Which is the middle position here?
      It’s not half of three (1.5), it’s (3+1)/2=2
      The middle position is the 2.
      That’s why we add the one. 😊
