LEON KNOWS THAT I LOVE MY ELVIS FROM 1970 THAT'S THE WAY IT IS . AND MORE TO DAY THIS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE. THANKS AGAIN LEON .YOU KNOW WHAT I LIKE KEEP ELVIS COMING,
Version 5, had special something unidentifiable come through that touched me...version 2, had an impossibly beautiful man who distracted me senseless. As always, Thank you Leon.
Version 2 of course. Anytime you can watch Elvis become one with the music is special. And anytime I see "Leon" in my recommends, I know it's some thing special. thank you
It always amazes me how fantastic Elvis was I love every single version of this song but seems I have to choose I think the second version is my favourite
He always knocks t out of the park but the first one he seems so confident and voice is clear. I’m not good with these comparisons, I get so caught up in his voice I forgot to be analyzing😉 I don’t know how he handled people talking over him, so disrespectful. But I love the “hold it man” he always wanted it perfect. but I love more than that is his southern drawl that you don’t hear when he sings
I am a Neil Diamond fan who (usually) loves hearing other artists perform his songs. This includes Elvis doing "And the Grass Won't Pay No Mind" and "Sweet Caroline". Yesterday, Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the 11:00 am U.S. Eastern Time hour, I happened to tune into the Elvis channel on Sirius XM and heard a rendition of "Sweet Caroline" by him that I had never heard before. I came looking for it on RUclips today. It turned out to be the first version in this video. I especially liked the narrative at the beginning. I am old enough to remember when Neil had his hit with this song, and I learned at the time that he recorded it in Memphis. Neil Diamond's character in the Broadway musical "A Beautiful Noise" mentions that he went to Memphis to write and record songs and that "Sweet Caroline" was one of them. Back in the 1970s, "Sweet Caroline", although it had been a big hit, may not have even been Neil Diamond's most famous song. Now, it definitely is. Elvis and Frank Sinatra were ahead of their time in doing their own renditions of this song in the 1970s.
Again, this is all in my humble opinion. Version One, I agree that he was trying to stay true to the original; especially when he sang the chorus again after he felt that he needed to. Version Two: everyone knows, and needs no other words. It is his penultimate performance of the song. Versions Three and Four, I felt that he lost his love for the song for a bit when he rushed through the song. When he did the rare performance in Version Five, he brought that energy back from his Vegas Days! That was truly glorious to hear! Version Six was all right. I think he was growing tired of performing by then. The final version, he gave the fans what they wanted; especially since they loved him so! Thank you always Leon for uploading these compilations!! They start my day beautifully!!!
The king ❤ ELVIS❤, Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️ 2023 and A happy new year 2024 I fell in love with you after watching a video of you singing this song You are the same age as my mother She's still alive. I wish you were alive
E Elvis não estava com problema de saúde nesta data, Elvis simplesmente sempre cantou e cantava a mesma música de ritmos diferentes, e gostava muito de brincar com a sua voz 😂😂😂e prestar atenção em cada show.
According to the story, Elvis was annoyed that they brought the lyrics cause they knew he had issues with the song, but to be honest, it probably did help him out
1974 version was really at a fast tempo, as he and the band eventually did with most of the songs they kep playing through the 70s. 1976 version is amazing, too bad he messed up the words, something I had never seen before on this particular song. Despite that, he kept taking the song seriously all the times.

People who met him said his beauty was breathtaking. His vocals practically could bring down the rafters.

I don't particularly like This song but love how Elvis sounds and his act while performing.
I saw him 4 times, everything that you said is true

Version 1
Somemody know if a studio master was make of this song by Elvis ?
He never did Mike. The RCA master was recorded live on 16 February 1970 during the dinner show.
Both of those songs will feature in future installments.
