Every time I hear this song, I become more and more impressed by George Harrison's lead work. Watching young musicians being able to follow what I consider to be one of the most accomplished scores by a giant of modern music, impresses me to no end.
I'm not aware of how to tell Paul's lead from George's. I don't think it is known who invented the twin lead part, though I've tried all the usual sources.
... the Beatles tribute band "1964" would sing, "you say you've seen Stevie Wonder, and your bird is green." Definitely something Lennon would have sang live.

Fantastic! I have the "easier" music sheet for this and the chords are not easy. These guys have every mannerism of Paul, George, Ring and John down to perfection. Great job guys.

Most Beatles tribute "Johns" strum on the downstroke. I think Lennon strummed on the up stroke on this song and many others. But, this John speaks exactly like Lennon did! it's a little chilling!
You can see their old videos with the girl playing George.Maybe best George by a girl ever been.If I not remember wrong she died of cancer young.I think her name was Rae Loeffler.
These didn't even make the finals! I was there . . . they weren't even allowed to take a curtain call for a final tally of applause . . . not quite a level playing field for the out-of-towners. I thought they did a nice job.
Interesting cover! Good performance. Only the bass guitar should have been stronger in the mix. It's weird why the Beatles themselves never played this song live ... (for example on the roof of an Apple??) it would be great.
The lead guitar is extremely hard to play so correctly in that speed - especially if you try to nail both voices at the same time. This was one of Georges' best tunes ever although I think he played both voices separately in the studio.
Really good on the rhythm and lead, the drums and bass were a bit ropey. The Lennon member nailed it. The McCartney character seemed to be trying to pull off some kind of cockney chimney sweep routine and missed the bullseye. Nothing that a few rehearsals can't remedy though eh? All in all, a great tribute to the seminal artists that were the Beatles.
Oh man, I thought the guy playing Lennon was pushing it too much. Making too many faces. The guys playing George and Paul had the mannerisms down just right. Only my opinion of course.

For an incredibly better done, crystal clear version, cover of this, head over to the Josh Turner Guitar channel. Only 3 guys, on a blanket in Central Park. Better guitar, vocals, everything.
I like beatles cover bands that just play the songs and play them well. I don't care for the accent and silly crap said in the mic. Just play the songs. These guys could have used more rehearsal on the music (and VOCALS) rather than the schtick.
Um, this is not great. The lead guitar is lost in the mix and doesn’t sound right anyway, the singing's not bad but why have nearly 2 1/2 minutes of band set up before the song starts?
The hoopla is greater than the performance -- Rule #1 is YOU DO NOT COVER THE BEATLES, but that aside, at least run thru the lyrics in order ..... no liberties allowed .... Grade ? C-

Just FANTASTIC! I absolutely adore this song its so jolly, and they played it brilliantly. Absolutely love the accents too :)
Very well done..wow..that is not an easy song to learn and play
and do so perfectly as these guys did..
Close as I have ever heard and I been listening to the Beatles since 1963 ... age 9 ... now 66 ... 57 years .....
Nice tribute to an incredible song that was ahead of its time. Paul and George harmonizing guitars.
Hard song to play, really well done
Holy moly what a song to start their bracket with .. 😳 cold fingers & all.
The word holy you only use to refer to God, and nobody else ! .

Give `em credit. This is NOT an easy tune in the studio, let alone LIVE.
I just watched this with my daughter and said almost word-for-word exactly that before reading your comment 👍🏽
In the early 90s, I played in the Slovak band The Shout. I played the drums and sang. We played the repertoire of The Beatles.
Increible sus gestos, su comportamiento corporal, sus voces...una gran interpretación. Tremenda la voz de John y de Paul al hablar.
Fantastic guys..🤗😘😘😘..
Fantastic, the lead does a great job at getting that really complicated bit of guitar work right.
They nailed it!

Even though Doug has lost a step or two, American English is the best right now, and he's amazing as George
Who wouldn't want to be a beatle?
An incredible cover but I don't understand why the camera holder just concentrated on the guy playing John??
If George had an octave pedal back then they could have done too!

The bass line is not quite the way Paul plays it
