    I loved this, watching BARTY play should be a treasure, you’ll never see anyone more humble or so gracious in defeat, beside Venus Williams or even Serena (when she’s not having drama with the opponent), she never smashes a racquet or shows any negativity on court, always gracious at the net, against Kerber here, against Kvitova at Birmingham, and she’s one of the most consistent on tour, hats off to Angie, it’s nice to see her back and more aggressive but I can’t help think what this match could’ve been if BARTY took her chances in the first and second, it was a great matchup and both these girls fought hard to be there and were deserved winner/runner up, it doesn’t matter which order because they both deserved it, hope to see Barty when she fully matures and starts to get into top 10.

      Serena and Venus gracious? Your joking right? Maybe now that they have won numerous grand slams and millions of $$. Venus is attracted to cute girls so she gives good hugs.

      Martin Mallit I’m not a Serena or Venus fan to let you know, but every time I see Venus lose or win she gives a hug and smile, and if you look at other players like Giorgi, Kuznetsova, Bouchard, Sharapova, And again at her times Serena who give no lookers, or as they say drive-by, Venus handshakes seem to be royal.

    Great work, Angie! Wonderful to see you are back. Now a good rest and then it's time fpr the AO. She is so much improved comparesd to last season, but occasionally slips back into the more extreme version of defensive playing. She needs to stay as aggresive as in her great match against Domi Cibulkova - which was probably her best tennis in 2018 so far. I keep my fingers xx for Angie during the AO.
    And every single positive comment about Barty's great sportsmanship is so true. She'll have a bright future and can still make some steps forward.

    She always had great legs, but this slimmed-down version of Angie displays legs that are the finest in the history of women’s tennis IMHO ❤️

    Kerber has a nice balance of defence and offence. That is why she was so successful in 2016. Looking to recreate that in 2018.

      Paddy Irawan she’s already top 15 so no doubt, maybe slam champion, she rarely gets beaten by a bad margin and when she does like last week she doesn’t give up.

      Reg Van Rooyen nah. Didn't you see alot of the highlight shots here, kerber was only on defense. She's simply just on fire and that good this 2018

  • @janjr165
    @janjr165 6 лет назад

    Barty doesn’t have what it takes. This was yet another cakewalk for Angie - it won’t be anywhere near this easy at the 2018 AO.

  • @tennisrant
    @tennisrant 6 лет назад

    It's so hard to see in the highlights what Kerber is doing differently this year compared with last year... I can only imagine she is producing the shots in the big moments. But I think it will be a more aggressive player who will come out on top in Australia. Kerber honestly is like the female Nadal, tiring out her opponents. But a big hitter having a good day on the court with a low unforced error ratio should stop her in her tracks in Australia in my opinion... watch this space & see if I am right.

    • @lilihentschel2653
      @lilihentschel2653 6 лет назад +1

      Besides the obvious change in her service motion, I think she is more aggressive with her second shot after her serve. Maybe not that much in this match, but at the Hopman Cup you could see that she immediately goes for the winner instead of just keeping the ball in play.
      Usually she is a great matchup for big hitters. If she is high on confidence (which she very well should be right now), she should be able to handle players like Sharapova, Kvitova, Ostapenko, Vandeweghe etc. with ease. I see her biggest obstacles coming mentally from players she has a huge losing streak against, like Muguruza or Svitolina.
