  • After confirming spark, its time to take the carb off, fuel tank, oil tank and a few other bits to clean up for the first start attempt.

Thank you! She’s coming along. It’s kinda nice that the rust isn’t as bad as on the XL500 but at the same time it’s a bit less content for the channel because there is less work lol.

Subscribed. I'm just bit ahead of you on a '73 DT3. Enjoyed watching you work on yours and it motivates me to get back to work on mine.

Hey Garage great video love it. I have a 1975 RD350 that I brought back to life been working on it/ riding last 3 years. Points where initial issue on my bike too then on to fuel tank /carbs. Had a heck of a time getting it running correctely between carburetor issues and electrical system. When you have both issues going on at same time hard to tell where problem is. I replaced Ignition system with Vape power dynamo Ignition better charging and electronic. Had cleaned carburetors several times with new jets still had intermittent firing on one cylinder so I did 24 soak in carb clean and that did the trick. great to see your projects

Thanks for tuning in Johnny! Glad you got yours sorted as well. It’s the best feeling when you get something running again that’s been left for dead. I always keep my eyes open for an RD350. I’d love to get one of the orange ones. Perfect looking bike in my opinion and I hear they are a blast to ride. I appreciate your feedback too!

I really enjoy your videos! I am however surprised at your use of a crescent wrench and lack of nut drivers? You get it done.

Hi, when you soak the tank in vinegar, flush it out with water and bicarbonate of soda to neutralize the acid!!

Thanks for the tip! I’ve just been using water then a little bit of fuel to slosh around and dump to clean. I’ll have to try that next bike.

Idk how far you and the guys you ride with are from here but when we get it together you’re welcome to video it and ride along. It’ll probably take some time to get squared away but the gears are meshing😎
