I personally like light walls using colour through accessories curtains throws cushions etc. Great job both looking really fresh. 👍
I think the more muted green is so much nicer and will be glorious in winter too. Isn’t painting hard work! You start out all enthusiastic and by the end you’re just desperate to finish! Enjoy the sunshine Luke xx

You two have good taste, my living room is green too, Victorian house, white to dado then green to coving, still love it now. This room transformation is gorgeous. The wood unit with this green goes so well. Enjoy your new cosy room you deserve it

If your lucky on sizes Ikea do nice roman blinds and are easy to fit . Loving the new green and glad you re did the top of the walls white :)

Man! your living room must be an inch smaller all round by now with all the layers of paint! It does look lovley now but - and this is just my personal preferance- I liked it better when it was white!! love watching you two guys...Zara you are a legend putting up with the frequencies of Luke's makeovers!!!

love this - the green is so pretty! 🌿 I have to say though, don't spend money on blinds if you're not going to own this flat - they're SO expensive and I don't think it's worth the outcome in a rental as the curtains look lovely!

I love it this! I really liked the emerald green but I do think with the white it draws the eyes up to make it look taller and looks more styled! You’ve both got great taste, im obsessed with that pheasant picture 😍
Love this green, but then dark green is my fave. I did love the cargo colour but agree that white looked better there. Room looks great 💚

I’m planning to move out soon and was trying to figure out a good way to add colour to the walls without making it abit of an eyesore, love what you did!! The green is beautiful too! Makes the room look a lot taller
Love the new color!! I liked the old green too (green is my favorite color) but can see why it might have been a little bright for Zara's preference. I did chuckle a little when Zara set the level because she seems to be about my height; and at level that we wouldn't have to get on a ladder to paint. haha
That reading nook looks so cozy and I absolutely love that tartan pillow in it. The pheasant art piece completely complements it! Sending love and hugs from the US.

Lovely. Simply lovely. The line being so high actually provides height to the room. The plaid pillow picks up colors from the bookcase. As for the windows...while Roman shades might be nice, if the materials chosen aren't picked carefully, they could darken the room. Food for thought. Side thought, have you considered making your own? Or dyeing the current window curtains? Either could be quite the adventure. :)

Nice colors, it was the right choice to go with the white to counterbalance the darkness of the green. I like a cozy room, darker walls make it so easy to give you a wide wash of color to work from. Considering that the climate is changing in your local in England as much as it has changed over the years in mine (Wisconsin, USA), maybe you should consider buying a couple of fans or an AC window unit or cooler that you can move from room to room. Have you considered "cheating" the leveling of the TV by raising the lower end of the TV stand with some shaved shims? The carpet would camouflage any small parts of the shims that show. I understand not wanting to drill holes into a brick or plaster wall!
Hello..I love the colour but I am a fall person and dark colours I absolutely love..So cosy..Never mind all the people who don't like as it's YOUR PLACE . You are looking at it and love it..That's all that counts..Great job Zara to ..

Great decision to change the top color to a bright white vs the beige, it looks so fresh. What a job, but well worth it. BTW Have you ever given thought to a move to Brighton? It seems like an area that you and Zara would enjoy, "London by the Sea" and close to Gatwick for future travels. Although I imagine expensive too. Found your channel via Mr. Carrington and so enjoy watching you both.
Blinds to go are really good and affordable did my whole house with them,room looks lovely 👍🏻
Luke and Zara, I love the green. The room is looking very classy and cosy. Although, I have to say I am not a fan of chopped cushions and don’t see the appeal. Your landlord must love you both with how you look after the flat. We are in the middle of renovating our new house and starting to get excited to style it up. Look forward to your next video.xx

I definitely love this and really want to do this in my living area for autumn 🍂 cosy but not until after summed in this heat I can't do a thing I am just trying to chill. You know when you just need to chill, but also want to decorate and do makeovers!!!

I have loved all the ways you have decorated that room. However that is stunning and suits the room so much. It brings out more features and give it a cozy charm.
The best area for me is the corner with the arm chair. That is pure heaven.

I agree the first colour picked to go above the green was not right. This looks beautiful. Even new cushion covers lifts the room. I'm still obsessed with the glass on the door and either side.

Hilarys are good for blinds they'll come and measure and fit them for you too...great choice of fabrics..had mine for over two years and still happy with them...😊 flat looks great love the colour, only thing I'd do differently is the cushion covers, not keen on the brightness of them, they stand out too much..just my opinion but you did ask ..lol

Blinds2go are affordable and I’ve bought several, including a Roman blind with a William Morris print for my kitchen and it’s lovely!

Luke a simple fix for the shelf is just add a thin peice of wood between the shelf and bracket until it's level. Really you could use anything, peice of cardboard or a washer, just depends how high you need to raise the lower side.

It looks really good. The curtains don't bother me. I would like you to get black candle stick holders for your fireplace. The brass is to matchy matchy. I'm still in love with your lamp on your bar cart. That room is going to be beautiful at Christmas. Have a great day.

WOW!! the room looks really great (and I cant stand green :-)) but it looks much nicer than I would have thought it would and i tend to agree with you that blinds would be better than the curtains. Mind you I preferred the painting without the shirt :-). It really looks good, well done both of you. Love Lyn xx xx

IKEA Roman blinds …..easy to alter and cheap but good quality.
it does look better with the white paint above and contrasts well with the ceiling. I do think the curtains look really well with the room now and paying for blinds that you will end up leaving behind are too expensive. take care guys love to all xxx

I was watching another RUclipsr and he had a suggestion when you tape to paint two different colors you paint the lighter color over the tape so both sides are painted and the paint the darker color and remove the tape and you have a crisper line and absolutely no bleeding of that paint
