Hi Greg...phew, what a lesson. High octane blues, five string basses, loads of stops, key changes, improvisation, walking bass lines, tempo changes...and a cracking song to boot!! This was tremendous, If anyone had to reach all of the above techniques in a lesson, and hold the attention of the student/s this was the tune and the teacher too do it. Brilliantly done Greg, take a well earned bow!!
    Thank you. Keep Groovin’
    Bry

Cheers Bryn, I've been wanting to make this bass lesson for a while now. I love checking out that studio version and have watched it about 50 times now! The band are so great and the organ is just brilliant. Loads to learn in this bass line. My play-through video os this bass line is out tomorrow - hope you enjoy that, just about got through it in one piece 😀

Thank's Greg. I do love this pretty tune since 55 years. And last week i put a Drop-D on my 4-String "Godin Shifter 4". So i will try to do 'Lazy' with it the Drop-D in the next week. I also know this one-year-old version by Boe B. ans i love it too. Have a nice evening and rest of the Weekend. Thank's again Cheers Alf

Rock on Alf! I really like the Drop-D tuners, I've got them on 2 of my 4-strings. Perfect for having a go at this bass line. Enjoy!

Sure appreciate the Notation pages without tab plus the ones with tab being separate. The ones without tab are great for sight reading practice.

That’s a great track but keys was Arlan Schierbaum not Lachy Doley.

Cheers, don’t know why I thought it was Lacey Doley. Maybe they look similar! 😀

@@GregsBassShed they don’t look dissimilar! There is a video of Lachy doing Lazy. Saw him at the 100 club a few years back. Great entertainer. Oh and my best friend mastered the remachined tracks - great work.

Maybe that's where my confusion came from. I've checked out quite a lot of Lachy's tunes so maybe I heard him play Lazy.

Yes, don't you love that! An effective bass line, beautifully played by Michael Rhodes 👌
