Hi, I have few queries... Lunch was veg or non veg, What about underwater diving in James Island, Is this place good for Honeymoon, Total cost of trip.
Lunch was non veg. But veg items were available as well. James Bond island is a day tour which can be made from Phuket. Overall Phuket/Thailand is a very good place for a honeymoon. Expect to spend around 1.5 lakh to 2.5 lakh for a 7-10 days stay in Thailand.

You need 10000 Baht per person or 20000 Baht per family. Its official requirement. You may or may not be asked to show. Just ensure that you carry Thai Baht or USD/EURO etc. During trip to the islands, there will be veg food but together along with veg and non veg food. You won't get exclusive veg food. For that you will have to book a private tour which will be costly.

Yes, you can stay in Phi Phi island. There's no problem. But i am just concerned about the rains that you may get while you are there during that time. It's always good to go to Thailand during Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and maybe March. After that there is always a high possibility of encountering rains.

Phi Phi was around 1650 Baht per person in speedboat for full day tour with lunch and hotel pick up/drop. And James Bond was around 1500 Baht per person in Ferry. (I had gone in November last, so it was comparatively on season price) If you are getting at the prices as mentioned by you, then you are getting a good deal.

Hi Saurabh. You can go Delhi-Phuket by flight. Take a bus from Phuket to Krabi and then return Krabi-Delhi by flight. Air Asia/Go Air etc all are good in budget category.

I stayed only 1 and half day at Krabi out of which 1 day was utilised to go to Phi Phi Islands. Practically, i stayed at Krabi for half day only. So, between Krabi and Phuket, I will choose Phuket in my opinion.

Thanks Arpan. August is safe but it is the rainy season. So, if you are unlucky, you may see some rains. Better to travel between Nov-Feb. Phuket and Krabi are beach destinations and Bangkok is a city. If you are used to city life, then there's no point in visiting Bangkok. If you want city life, then stay in Bangkok for 2 days.

But keep in mind that it's a budget hotel run by a couple and it has no lift, so you have to carry your luggage by stairs. But it is quite decent for the price and location. Sight seeing is comparatively costly. Expect to spend minimum Rs 1500 to Rs 5000 per attraction. I had seen Phuket FantaSea, Tiger Kingdom, Simon Cabaret Show, Tour to James Bond Island, Tour to Phi Phi Islands, Big Buddha etc etc.
You are most welcome! Krabi is also quite good. You can travel via minibus from Phuket to Krabi. It takes around 3-4 hours. They have pick up and drop to hotels. Keep in mind that Phuket is has more nightlife than Krabi. Krabi is more of a relaxing destination.

Stay 4 days in Phuket and 2 days in Krabi. There is not much to do anything in Krabi. Moreover Krabi hotels are expensive compared to Phuket. Hello Harsh. You can take a mini bus which will pick you up from your hotel in Phuket and drop at your hotel in Krabi. Price was around Rs 1400 per person.

sirji best n reasonable hotel to stay in Patong actually planning honeymoon and shall i make my land trip ready from india (like phi phi tour , Phuket city tour)or i can buy in there itself which would be more cheaper pre planning or on the spot?
You can check out prices from Klook and then check with prices in hotel and local travel kiosks. You can book whichever is cheaper then. No need to pre book from India itself. And regarding your hotel, what is your budget per night?

Stay 4 days in Phuket and 2 days in Krabi. There is not much to do anything in Krabi. Moreover Krabi hotels are expensive compared to Phuket. I had stayed at THE MINOTEL HOTEL at Phuket and it was good. Rs 1700 per night. But it is a budget hotel. Also it does not have a lift and you have to carry luggage by stairs. Very near to Patong BEach. And in Krabi, i had stayed at WAKE UP AONANG HOTEL near Ao Nang Beach,. It was around Rs 3000 per night.
You can travel easily from Phuket airport to hotel by cab or mini bus. Both are good and will drop you directly to hotel. Take cab if you have more luggage and take mini bus if you have less luggage. Cab will be around 800 Baht to Patong Beach area and Mini Bus around 200 Baht per seat to Patong Area.
while doing phi phi island tour you kept your passport in hotel or carry with you.
I kept the original passport in hotel. But i carried a xerox of my passport with me.

Most welcome. I did Phi Phi up/down tour from Krabi. I had stayed at WAKE UP AONANG hotel in Ao Nang Beach. Tariff was about INR 3300 per night. In Phuket, I had stayed at THE MINOTEL HOTEL in Patong Beach. Rate was INR 2000 per night.

Haan ji, immigration log hotel bookings and return flight tickets strictly check karte hain. Lekin agar aap ka luck accha hain, then you may get the Visa without full hotel booking. It entirely depends on the mood of immigration authorities.
