The De Franco Family, The Osmonds.Some Of That Junk Was Terrible .But There Were Some Catchy Songs.This Was One Of Them.Daniel Boone? Where's Davey Crocket? This Thing From The Forgettable Or Unforgettable 70's Is Good. I Thought The 70's Was A Great Decade For Music.Better Than The 80's,90's and 0's.That's A Great Term For Music This Decade.Zero. I Know The Bands Can Make Great Music.There's A Lot Of Talent Out There.Anyway,I Love This Song And Where Is Davey Crocket?

A great song we would have on the old "transittor radio" as we played ball on a perfect spring day at the park, drinking a cold pop and laughing at each other on our poor playing efforts. Many of my closest friends then are gone now..... Whatever the political climate was at that time songs like this are forever in my soul... They actually made us FORGET about all the world's problems then and enjoy our youth.

My grandfather would out this on every time it was my turn to sing and I always LOVED singing this on the radio. Oh how I miss being 7 years old, having such an angelic voice (coming from my family). I doubt I had a good voice but they enjoyed listening to me sing.

I LOVE ALL types of music. I was born in 65 grew up in the 70s and became an adult(at least chronologically speaking 😉)in the 80s. I believe each decade brings a uniqueness to music ..I believe it is not so much that the music is any better or any worse than any other . I think what makes us all love / favor a particular decade isn't actually the genre of music but instead perhaps it's due to the emotions and memories we have attached to a particular song and its ability to then instantly, as in this song Beautiful Sunday take us back in our mind's eye to that memory and what we may have been doing the first time this song evoked those feelings and creating that initial memory. For example, we may have heard THIS song for the first time when we were a child going for a Sunday dinner to our grandparents house....today we hear this song and we are instantly transported back to that long ago Sunday dinner with our loving kind grandparents. Now our memory combines with the emotions/love/sentimentality of our now dearly departed grandparents. Just my own armchair theory about how music impacts our lives in different ways at different stages of our lives. 😉

I was born in 1995, but I love the 70s songs.
Another one of the many Gems my dad used to listen to. Road trips were cultural experiences for me as a child. All we'd listen to were his old songs from when he was younger. I don't just listen to these songs today because they're better than the new stuff. I listen to them because they're a connection to my past, my memories, my childhood. I miss you Pops :(
