    The only kind of illumination I like on a reticle is when it has only the center of the reticle that lights up, like if it has a center dot that illuminates.

    I'm a Discovery fan. Got two of them. The HI models can take the recoil of a spring airgun without losing zero or suffering damage. For the money you get a lot of scope.

      Thanks for the feedback. I is nice to know that they can handle springers as those are the most demanding. we air gunners know more than well.

    Imo I like all discovery scopes I have a 3-12×44 on my Taipan Vet long 25 cal it has been on that air gun for two years now and still holding zero at 35 yards .,...for a 200-dollar scope that's pretty good it's very clear also have a 80 dollar discovery scope 4.4-18×44 on my ATI nova Vista 22 cal works pretty good as well thanks for sharing be safe buddy 👍🏻

    I bought this scope yesterday online , But I have a problem whit it in zooming ring , when I changed It 5 to 30 it didn't change for me on magnification , do I miss anything after unboxing? Can You help me plz?!

    Hi, have you had the opportunity to get feedback between the Vector Continental 5-30x56 and the new Discovery, which of the 2 is ahead of your opinion?

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  Год назад

      I actually explained this in one of the comments... In short (and in my opinion), Discovers is almost the same in performance as Vector. The things I would mention: Discovery's adjustment clicks actually feel better than Vector's. Discovery has slightly worse image at minimum magnification, the image is in perfect focus in the middle of the image but not that good at the edge, but in my mind, that does not matter anyway as no one will buy 30x scope to use it at 5x. At full magnification, pictures are very similar - very good.

    Thanks for the review bro. How would you compare it to the vector continental 5-30x56 ffp? Thanks

    • @gregorkamensek3923
      @gregorkamensek3923  Год назад +1

      It is very similar. Continental is slightly better at 5x and it is easier to find correct eye position on 30x than HD gen2. Elevation and windage is actually better on HD gen2. So considering the price, the HD gen2 is the winner in my mind.

    • @ziadkadi
      @ziadkadi Год назад +1

      @gregorkamensek3923 another advantage of the vector is that the paralex starts at 10m vs 25m for the hd2 which makes it more airgun friendly I guess

      @@matteopierotti7687 The mod would required to extend the hole (not make it bigger) in the front cap where the valve is trawling to make more volume. More volume in that cup will result in valve staying opened for longer time. You can maybe contact RTI and ask them if they maybe offer an already enlarged cup. This way, you will not risk destroying yours :)

      @gregorkamensek3923 yup, you maybe right on that part. I'm just saying this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. That lifetime warranty is bound to fail. Hope all bad experiences for customer service will come up.
      I'd buy from other brands and endorse other brands. If the lawsuit comes, you may never know.
      Anyway, like I said just a fair warning.
