I’ve been doing free courses for awhile now. Sometimes there is a reason the courses are free. It’s really aggravating when you put time into something only to find a starving curriculum that exists only to try to sell something. Nonetheless I still muscle through. I use iTunesU, RUclips, and used textbooks. This video is gold and I often try to send people your direction when they ask about learning stuff… you offer quality, diversity, and simplicity. ~Thanks 🙂

I like LinkedIn Learning which used to be Lynda.com. You can listen to or watch their courses through the website or through the app. What's good about them, from my perspective, is that once you finish a course, you can add your certificate of completion status to your LinkedIn profile. A few recruiters have reached out to me wanting to know more about my work history and my interests based on the listed courses I've taken on. The courses alone won't get you a job, probably, but they could help. I just signed up for a blogging course/workshop on SkillShare, so I'll have to report back about how that goes. Good luck folks!

I am such an a-lux fan. I used to turn companies around but because I never finished my degrees and 2008 came I could not get a job so now I am a Long haul truck driver flatbed. And godly hours that we work do not allow me to attend classes and time limits are difficult because we don't always have great quality internet out here I so appreciate everything you do I am huge fan thank you
Education is so important! If more people had a great education, we would see more and more doors of opportunity open up for people. If I am educated, it is possible that I have learned something that can help someone else in terms of him/her gaining a fresh perspective that produces a good decision which then leads to a great opportunity.

I knew many people with degrees from big name schools that got paid the same, less or marginally more (couple thousand dollars a year) compared to those with state school degrees.
What would be an example of value added? Some type of connection or privilege with the big name university for the employer? Legitimacy in having graduates from big universities?

Good list, but a number of these require enrollment ($$$) BEFORE giving a search for a list of courses. I won't do that. I want to be sure that they have the courses I'm interested in before enrolling.
