- Clark, now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project...
Alli Mauzey sings "You've Got Possibilities" in a New York City Center Encores! performance of It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman with Edward Watts.
I must watch this once a week. I so admire Alli's seamless performances.
Me too. I discovered this about a month ago and I'm certain that I'm responsible for at least 13 of the youtube hits.
+William Bobbie Stewart I just discovered this 5 minutes ago. I practically never heard of plays until now.
Random observation: love how at 0:34 she's begins sketching an S on his chest, ofc blissfully unaware that Clark's got his Superman suit underneath (that he's desperately trying to conceal).
I'd give my left foot to have seen this production! My right one is already
spoken for.
I see what you did there in the description. XDD
And her performance is simply perfect! I love her!
Stephen Sondheim listed this as a song that he wish he had written.
This s like Joan Holloway tripping on WAY too much caffeine. :D Oh Alli, the wonderful Queen of Crazy. Gosh I wish we see more of her after this wretched plague.
You called it!
So that's how the number actually ended! So weird that the cast album has a fadeout. Terrific performance here.
Excellent! Linda Lavin brought me here. She gave me a lit torch and told me to hand it to you, Ms. Mauzey.
I Love Alli Mauzey!
So cute! This is basically me in every relationship I ever get into. Ha!
This is my favorite version of this song by a MILE and I'm so sad there isn't a decent audio recording of Alli singing it
Ahhhh is there any chance you've got the whole show? I went to see this production 3 times during the week it was at the City Center, and even though Alli was the reason I went, I fell in love with it all... Would love to be able to see it again! Love this, Alli is just brilliant :)))
Lovely!
There’s no karaoke track for this anywhere
Does anyone has the full sheet music of this song??!!
I almost thought my right airpod is broken, LMAO
Lol sexual harassment
Oh my I know right!
is she currently in this show?
No. This was only a four-day engagement as part of Encores! at New York City Center. It's this series where they produce concert versions (or sometimes fully-staged productions like this one) of old, forgotten or rarely heard musicals. Every now in then, it can lead to the show getting enough support for it to end up being revived on Broadway (or at least off.) I was really hoping that would be the case for this show, but it doesn't seem anything has come of it.
Geez that is over blocked. She did well though.
Where are they wearing there microphones
Ryan Wilking modern stage mics are tiny, usually held right at the top of the wig just sticking out on the forehead. Because they are so small there is usually a backup for the leads too.
what is the name of the musical? please tell me
It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman
What key is this in?
Starts in G. Ends in B flat.
Hair cut - simply terrible.
Neck tie - the worst.
Bearing - just unbearable.
What to tackle first?
Still, you've got possibilities,
Though you're horribly square.
I see possibilities;
Underneath there's something there.
Collar - pure Peoria.
That hat - oh no!
I'm not Queen Victoria -
This suit has to go.
Still, you've got possibilities
Let us give it a try.
I see possibilities
Maybe more than meets the eye.
Don't back away.
Come on, unbend.
Why can't I be
Your little friend?
Baby, you're improvable.
It won't take long.
Mountains can be moveable
If the spirit's strong.
You've got possibilities
Takes a woman to tell.
I see possibilities.
Let me pry you from your shell.
Relax, sweetheart, I'm not going to bite you - yet.
You won't be shy
When I get through.
Come on and roar,
You, tiger, you!
Somewhere, way down deep in you
There's life, no doubt.
It's just been asleep in you.
Let me bring it out.
You've got possibilities,
Maybe even a lot.
Red hot possibilities -
Why be shy and ill at ease?
I see possibilities
You don't even know you've got.
A great song from a great score.
Can you imagine the outrage if the sexes were reversed
You mean like "How to Succeed in Business Without Even Trying"?
@@DaleBurgess I'm using this song to audition for that musical.😂
